“I don’t understand how an amazing coffee shop can, at there discretion, close there coffee shop at any time they want? Why would u treat loyal customers this way. Sometimes posted in Instagram, sometimes not. So inconsiderate of daily customers. Very disappointing to walk all the way there, excited for my greeting from the staff and my great latte, only to find a note on the door, closed at 11:30? How can u feel good about people showing up and not open and it isn’t even close to 3:00? Confusing to me how everything else but this one issue can be perfect?“

“Okay - out The gate friendliest guy at the counter I’ve ever seen and not just personable, but funny, and he actually prevented me from ordering a wheat noodle dish in lieu of the soup that had a rice noodle saying that the wheat noodle tends to anchor people down and make it hard to stay mobile for the rest of the day, so I appreciated that you went with the rice noodle dish when it came out it looked very presentable and like I wanted to terror right into it first spite of each dish we have the Momos and the rice noodle soup with tofu both very vegetarian options but first bite of the soup and I was a fan. Somehow they made this tofu taste like a really tasty meat. I do not know how they accomplished that but they did and then the Momo’s hot I had to blow on it, however just bursting with flavor and I couldn’t sing enough praises about it.All the stars from merely two bites. I will be finishing all of this and be returning to River Cafe soon. As the GM of a popular local restaurant myself, I just love discovering local eateries that still know the value of customer service, high quality ingredients and executing each dish with careful precision. Hell yeah- River Cafe does it right. Just eat there, you’ll be stoked you did.“

“Gayle's Bakery has great food and service. I have been there more times then I can count and everytime it has been great. It can be difficult to find a place to sit and that's only because the place is that good.
Tonight my wife and I went for some food and desserts to take to go. We were helped by Brandon and he has great customer service, positive attitude and able to handle high volume of customers. I recommend going to Gayle's if you are in the area and wants some good food for anytime of the day.“

“The coffee was great! I got an iced peanut butter mocha with oat milk, and it was delicious. The atmosphere was excellent, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit. Good location with enough parking, but I did go in the summer when it wasn't very impacted.

“I absolutely despise this place! NOT BECAUSE THE DOZEN GLAZED I GOT WAS BAD.....BUT BECAUSE WE DONT HAVE THIS PLACE BACK EAST AND I WAS RAISED ON DUNKIN DONUTS....I WAS TOLD IT WAS THE BEST! Okay so I was put onto these coffee beans by the employees over at Auntie Mame's because we had gotten breakfast and I had to know where they got the beans from and I'm so glad I stopped by before I had to end my vacation and head home. I ended up leaving with at least 2 and a half pounds of coffee grounds. As soon as you walk in your hot with the most amazing aroma of coffee beans mixing together. Murphy was there at the store when my girlfriend and I came by and he was happy to talk and tell us all bout the different kinds of beans they had and a little bit about the shop itself. He was such a dope dude to sit and chat with and he really seems passionate about what he does and you can tell he enjoys it. Honestly, I'm glad I met him and I hope more people stop by and try the coffee. I promise you won't be disappointed. I'm excited to get home and try some of the redrood spice coffee I picked up.“

“Delicious donut. First time trying the cinn flavor. The service was ok, not sure the reason for slamming my donut on the counter. Other than that wierdness, Donut was fresh.

They do accept cards with a .25 fee. No minumum purchase required. Paid $3.25 for the cinnamon cronut donut. I appreciate that as a single purchaser.

“can’t speak to the food, but I got a yummy hot chocolate. barista was lovely, and I was able to sit at the nearby picnic table with my pup while my windshield was taken care of down the street. there’s a few places to sit, but this is definitely a “grab it and go” location“

“I buy all my coffee beans from Outland Java. The guy who runs the company is extremely nice. The roasts are absolutely terrific. The only downside is that there is no good coffee compared to this, because of that you will only find yourself satisfied by Outland Java. You can buy beans at New Leaf market and they serve it at certain cafe's in Half Moon Bay. Absolutely terrific!“

“I went to this cafe for the first time last week with my doggos and I must say that the Drinkies was so yummy!! I spoke with a intelligent young blonde woman who I later found out was named Elsie! She was so welcoming and friendly and helped explain the menu to me which was really helpful because I was confused by the sandwich. I got the BLT and the Creamy. Lemon Freeze? I would recommend if you are hear but I will probably not come back to Santa Cruz because there were not enough dog friendly beaches. Luckily though, Java junction and Elise were a sanctuary for my fur babies!!! I liked how there were dog treats to go with my sweet treat...“
