“Oh, Kirbs... This is long overdue; I've been coming here for a while now. Kirby's is a very chill bar in the Irvington area where you'll most likely have a pretty damn good time. Drinks are made well, beer taps are squeaky clean, and bartenders are friendly and quick. They have a great selection of hard alcohol, mixers, liquors, beer, seltzer, and they even have baby bottles of wine (last time I checked). Food is good, too. It's bar food, but I've had the chicken strips, mozzarella sticks, pizza, and the corn dog and they've all been good. The kitchen is clean and they put out food pretty quickly (depending on how many orders they have). Kirby's has a ton of TVs; you'll always find something on to watch, there is a pool table, poker nights, comedy shows, and darts. In the semi-outdoor area there are some arcade games that are pretty fun, too. Women's bathroom is well-lit, clean, and replenished frequently (and has a full length mirror so you can check all the goods). I can't speak for the men's, but I've never heard any complaints. If you like a quiet, low-key ambiance that's romantic and chic this probably isn't the place for you. I like those kinds of places too, don't get me wrong, but there's also something about the Kirby's atmosphere that keeps me coming back. And that something is the people.“
“Nice atmosphere. Benita, the bar-tender, was great -- approachable, friendly, and willing to take requests for TVs, music, drinks, etc. Lots of regular customers frequent the place, but there are plenty of places to sit. I'll be back when I'm in the area!“
“Kennedi was so kind!! Her service was swift and I love how enthusiastic she is! She’s the best bartender I’ve probably ever met. All the drinks she made were spot on and she kept conversations even when she was busy! I’d definitely say to give her employee of the month or whatever award can be given because I’ve never received better service than with Kennedi B!“
“Went there to watch the Superbowl by myself. There were no seating options, and there was nobody in charge of seating, so it was really awkward funding a place to sit and order. I found a spot in the corner, and although it wasn't a place for customers, the bartender took pity on me and allowed me to stay there. She was very kind and placed my order. None of the other servers even acknowledged me. She did and made my time there great. She kept checking in on me and made sure I got served. The place was packed and loud. Great Superbowl environment. The wings were great, and I decided to order the Ultimate Nachos also. Better make sure you're hungry because those were really big. I couldn't finish them.“
“This place has been my go-to after-work spot. Drinks are excellent especially during happy hour. Bbq wings never miss! And the truffle mushroom pizza is great. Not on the menu, but ordering the tater tots & making them garlic tots is heavenly. The staff and service are awesome.“
“The atmosphere in this place is great, awesome beer selection, lots of TVs for sports, small game area for the kids and an overall great place for large gatherings. However, the pizza on multiple visits is just ok. We’ve tried the garlic chicken and a couple of others, maybe the appetizers are better, but so far it’s been hit or miss on the pizza choices. As our daughter gets older and goes through HS, I’m sure we’ll be back to try again.Does anyone have a recommendation as to what the best pizza or food option is at Porky’s?“

“It's a Friday night. Decided to stop by here before picking up the stepsons from OAK airport. Their flight was delayed. We got here around 10:30 pm. We got parking right across the street. The place was still relatively empty except for folks at the bar. Apparently it's Karaoke night. Some guy was singing "My way" I kid you not (see the video below). The lady and I got a good table. The place filled up within 30 minutes. The clientele reflects the community around San Leandro. Quite diverse. Staff seemed to know the table of bikers that came in. Atmosphere is chill, despite the loud bangers between karaoke songs. DJ was cuttin' it up with Yay Area club classics. We had the lumpia and the lemon pepper strips. Lady had Diet Coke while I had a pint of Sierra Nevada. The staff is friendly and attentive.“
“My colleagues and I were in town for work. Short walk from the Hyatt. Perfect pub atmosphere with warm fireplaces and lots of TV's. Food was delicious and even got to meet the owners! Tom and Debbie are so sweet. Took the time to get to know us and we got to know them. As Hoosier, I had to get Debbie's famous tenderloin and it did not disappoint. They also have trivia and karaoke during the week. Perfect spot for food and entertainment. Thank you for the amazing hospitality!“
“This a a great gastro pub in Fremont. Excellent customer service, wonderful selection of in house brewed beers on tap, full bar and good selection of non-alcoholic beverages. Food is great predominately American faire. This is good spot to take in a 49ers game or whatever sport is in season. Definitely recommend Jack's Brewing to anyone looking for a great meal and welcoming atmosphere.“
