We happened to be in town and he was so excited that Al's was still around, so he had to take me for the best breakfast.

“Lucy's Gorditas is a cute and unassuming hole-in-the-wall place, but don't let that dissuade you from trying out their delicious food. It was my first visit today, and it will definitely not be my last. I ordered the 2 Gorditas Combo and selected the Tinga de Pollo and Rajas gorditas with a side of refried beans. I ordered online and the food was ready and waiting when I arrived. Quick friendly service out the door. I really like the Rajas gordita and the beans were SO flavorful! The Tinga de Pollo was pretty good as well, but the Rajas was definitely star of the show today. The meal included a small side of shredded green cabbage and some pickled red onions with both a red and green sauce. Both were very flavorful and had just enough kick to them. Not only was the price incredibly reasonable for today's economy (just over $10 with tax & tip), the food was delicious and filling. I am so happy with them that I will likely make this a weekly lunch spot since I work just down the street. Thank you Lucy!!“

“Best Mexican food I’ve had in a long time. Everything is always fresh, the staff is always friendly and the items I’ve had from there are delicious. I’ve had the quesa birria plate, the breakfast burritos, and nachos. Everything has really great flavor and a generous amount of food. You can’t beat the prices either. “Food was amazing it made up for the customer service that there was one lady with short hair. that was just giving us his dirty looks. I don’t know if that’s just her face or how she is but other than that everything in the location was great. We just ignored her. The prices were amazing I was taken there by my crazy Tia Anna. She knew a lot of them there. The owner to the location was very nice. He even gave us some free Carnitas to taste. Oh my gosh they were so good or Carnitas over a hard taco anytime. Never had it like that, but it was amazing. Like I said the prices were amazing very cheap and everything was so stuffed. I would definitely recommend for anyone and everyone to come out here. This place is amazing cheap prices. They’re super fast and they had so much food so much Carnitas so much hard tacos regular tacos, Chicharron Menudo I mean they had you hooked up in there I’m definitely going back to Fresno. This definitely will be considered like a hole in the wall, the plaza that it's in is pretty empty exception for a few small businesses and the restaurant itself is set up more like a food court. “My partner and i usually have a good experience when we come eat here. This afternoon around 12pm we came for a late breakfast/lunch. The food didn’t taste the same as before. The chips tasted stale and the Machaca Burrito the tortilla was burnt like flaky burnt, the asada torta we ordered also the meat tasted old. Like I said we usually have a good experience here. The food is always great. Maybe they got a different cook or something but it just wasn’t the same this time. We been coming here for years and really enjoy.“
