Sonic Drive-In offers a variety of food options that some customers enjoy, such as hotdogs, chicken strips, and tots, while others have found meals to be overcooked and greasy. The service is generally good, but the environment can be rough, with some locations facing issues with cleanliness and homelessness. Despite these challenges, Sonic remains a convenient choice for a quick bite, and their app provides special deals, although some find it clunky to use. Recent reviews highlight delicious items like the toffee nut sonic blast, which was loaded with candy but missing some ice cream, and the new smasher, which was very tasty despite not liking pickles. Customers also appreciate the friendly staff and recommend the place, though some have been discouraged by the app not offering discounts as expected and staff claiming their hands are tied. Overall, Sonic Drive-In offers a decent fast-food experience with fun dessert choices.
