“I enjoyed their food...I didn't particularly care for the instant mashed potatoes... had I'd known that they were "instant" and not real mashed potatoes I would have passed on the instant mashes potatoes, and definitely not ordered that particular item with my 3 ( three)to go orders. Other than that..everything was good and seasoned just right... :)I support this business, and I love that they are also an organization that is helping men and women get back on track with their sobriety.. “Best BBQ hands down! I have been getting my Que for over 3 years now. So much they know me by name and my order. I'm a no sauce person and a lot of places can't deliver that "wow" effect when it comes to seasoning. But Rowes seasonings is to perfection. All the sides are fire, my favorite is the potato salad. Plates are well portioned, for a great price. And we ain't gonna talk about the Peach Cobbler??. Gotta get there early tho, because by 3 or 4 some food can be sold, that's just how good it is. “The welcoming environment, the food was beautifully prepared with love and soul. I visited from Seattle. Every time I come to LA, this will be the first place I come to! You will NOT be disappointed.“

The service was great- Nina was so kind and offered great suggestions.

The food was robust with flavor and a generous portion.

The chicken bites were crispy, a little sweet and tangy.

The Jollof rice with crispy catfish was cooked to perfection. It came with black beans (delicious!) and sweet plantains.

The burger was good but definitely worth skipping and trying other menu items.

The house lemonade was so refreshing and not too sweet.

Overall wonderful experience. Will be back!“

“Let me start with its a very long line & wait.

The food is absolutely delicious and the portions are very generous. Customer service is fantastic. But geez the long line up…we arrived at 1:25 they open at 1:30pm & there was a long line, I mean long but they did provide ice cold water which was refreshing & needed when standing in the sun for any length of time.
By the time we got into the restaurant, order, pay & actually get our food it was 3:50pm. They have seating available once you get inside and wait another 30-45 min for your order so you can relax.
Yes people thats how long the wait is. 2.5hrs to wait for food don't get me wrong like I said the food was great but just cant see myself waiting in line again for that length of time hence the 3 stars for atmosphere. I was told the line up is the norm.“

“Absolutely the finest Soul Food. You don't want to skip this place. I had the lunch portion of the Oxtail and chose the Candied Yams and Mac and Cheese as sides. It came with 2 Cornbread Muffins. It was all delicious and filling. I ordered the Coconut Pineapple Cake for Dessert. It filled the container. See the picture. Totally Recommend this place.“

If you find yourself in Cali you need to make it a point to go.

Staff is always friendly, explain anything you may have a question on. Service is fast and the food is always on point.

Took my husband here as he has never been he ate all of the food I posted on this post, and hes very very picky.

The food is great, we weren’t a fan of the mac and cheese it wasn’t bad it just wasn’t a fan favorite of ours.

Great job, this is my favorite location it is downtown LBC by the queen Mary.

Chicken is juicy, tasty, succulent and crunchy! The cornbread, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, was great. The hot sauce is great, we even bought one to go. The lemonade is freshly squeezed and tasty.

Also, whoever answers the phone to take orders, I know, make sure you have your order ready, but he was rushing me off the phone. I had to call back to make sure he got my order correct. “As for Fried Chicken goes, Honey Kettle is one of the better ones in Southern California. The simplicity of the goods is what makes this staple good. There isn't many frills, but good fresh chicken cooked with some care.

There have been some small issues with service from time to time, but overall I would maintain their high rating because of the delicious chicken they serve.

There are some hit and misses with their sides, but certainly do get their beans.

Portions are not big, but there is nothing wrong with over-ordering something that could be finished later.“

“I recently stumbled upon your establishment and must say, the name perfectly captures how I felt after trying your food. I ordered fried wings, rice, and vegetables, and each dish was exceptional.

The wings were piping hot, and the aroma that wafted from the box was simply incredible. The blend of spices and flavors was perfect, and I was truly blown away.

“Smothered pork and fried chicken breast is one of my favorite food here. Service is fast and friendly. It has been always been one of my favorite spot for lunch. Only one things that i don't like about is wait time, Otherwise this place is simply great!“
