“I enjoyed their food...I didn't particularly care for the instant mashed potatoes... had I'd known that they were "instant" and not real mashed potatoes I would have passed on the instant mashes potatoes, and definitely not ordered that particular item with my 3 ( three)to go orders. “Best BBQ hands down! I have been getting my Que for over 3 years now. So much they know me by name and my order. I'm a no sauce person and a lot of places can't deliver that "wow" effect when it comes to seasoning. But Rowes seasonings is to perfection. All the sides are fire, my favorite is the potato salad. Plates are well portioned, for a great price. And we ain't gonna talk about the Peach Cobbler??. Gotta get there early tho, because by 3 or 4 some food can be sold, that's just how good it is. “The welcoming environment, the food was beautifully prepared with love and soul. I visited from Seattle. Every time I come to LA, this will be the first place I come to! You will NOT be disappointed.“

“I don't even know where to begin... Two Hommes is an absolute GEM! My dad and I went last night, and from start to finish, it was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. Every single dish was perfection. We ordered the Root Beer Braised Short Rib, Chilean Sea Bass, Garlic Noodles with Bebere Shrimp, and a side of Herb Lamb Chops and honestly, every bite showcased the chefs' incredible skill and artistry. You can truly taste the craftsmanship and attention to detail that goes into every plate! The service was immaculate, and our server Nia went above and beyond. She was warm, attentive, and had excellent recommendations including the Suya Plantain Cake for dessert, which was absolutely unbelievable. Even though we didn't have drinks this time, everything else was so outstanding that we're already planning to return next month (we're visiting from PA!). Lastly, the ambience was lovely. “Im gonna give a bit of a detailed review. Because with a few tweaks this place could be 1000x better.
I had fried chicken/smother chicken/greens/yams/mac n cheese /rice and gravy

Every thing was very good. My following critiques are me being extremely critical. Overall this is a very good place to order soul food from. Im a repeat customer for sure.

The overall flavor of everything is really good. The only issue I had was with the salt levels and textures. BUT ESPECIALLY THE AMOUNT OF SALT ON THE FRIED CHICKEN. I would have enjoyed it alot more if the Salt levels came down about 15-20%. Mac and cheese was good flavor wise, just a bit too rich and gummy and salty. Could be just me though I not the biggest fan of Mac and cheese thats done with a roux first and then baked also. It produces a very dense rich texture. Also I think the chicken pieces are too big. I got a breast and wing and the breast was half the size of the entire container. Usually chickens that big are overly fed, and given hormones and injected with other drugs. Also pieces that big take longer to fry, which makes the batter fry harder and darker. If I were this resturant I would honestly invest in smaller organic 3-4lb chickens.

Other than that I really enjoyed the flavor, especially the yams and greens and gravy.“

“Absolutely the finest Soul Food. You don't want to skip this place. I had the lunch portion of the Oxtail and chose the Candied Yams and Mac and Cheese as sides. It came with 2 Cornbread Muffins. It was all delicious and filling. I ordered the Coconut Pineapple Cake for Dessert. It filled the container. See the picture. Totally Recommend this place.“

Staff is always friendly, explain anything you may have a question on. Service is fast and the food is always on point.

Took my husband here as he has never been he ate all of the food I posted on this post, and hes very very picky.

The food is great, we weren’t a fan of the mac and cheese it wasn’t bad it just wasn’t a fan favorite of ours.

Great job, this is my favorite location it is downtown LBC by the queen Mary.

Chicken is juicy, tasty, succulent and crunchy! The cornbread, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, was great. The hot sauce is great, we even bought one to go. The lemonade is freshly squeezed and tasty.

Also, whoever answers the phone to take orders, I know, make sure you have your order ready, but he was rushing me off the phone. I had to call back to make sure he got my order correct. “As for Fried Chicken goes, Honey Kettle is one of the better ones in Southern California. The simplicity of the goods is what makes this staple good. There isn't many frills, but good fresh chicken cooked with some care.

There have been some small issues with service from time to time, but overall I would maintain their high rating because of the delicious chicken they serve.

There are some hit and misses with their sides, but certainly do get their beans.

Portions are not big, but there is nothing wrong with over-ordering something that could be finished later.“

“I recently stumbled upon your establishment and must say, the name perfectly captures how I felt after trying your food. I ordered fried wings, rice, and vegetables, and each dish was exceptional.

The wings were piping hot, and the aroma that wafted from the box was simply incredible. The blend of spices and flavors was perfect, and I was truly blown away.

The rice was buttery and delicious, and the vegetables were a wonderful complement to the meal.

“Smothered pork and fried chicken breast is one of my favorite food here. Service is fast and friendly. It has been always been one of my favorite spot for lunch. Only one things that i don't like about is wait time, Otherwise this place is simply great!“
