“Went here on a Monday for dinner with a friend and omg!! I was blown away by this little hole in the wall. The food was super delicious, and the portions were very generous for the price. I would definitely recommend to anyone, a very authentic Italian restaurant. The entire menu sounded delicious! Our waiter William was very attentive and very friendly and caring. “I came in for a little snack with my dad and ordered a simple spaghetti with spinach and marinara sauce. (lil tip ask about the special when you visit because on Sunday you get free garlic bread with spaghetti ) Anyways, for a marinara sauce it was delicious and silky, with a perfect balance of tomato tartness and olive oil. The garlic bread was amazing too with a delightful crunch, perfect for soaking up every last bit of sauce. Staff was also super friendly, welcoming and helpful“

I looked them up online, always eager to find a good import company dealing with Italy. I wondered why they have such a low review score. As a business owner who has been robbed and vandalized multiple times - even held up at gun point to be robbed - I stand behind them 100% for being vigilant. “This modest dinner spot specializes in handmade pastas with a Californian twist. I tried their butternut ravioli with burnt sage butter—and the balance of flavors blew me away. The space is simple, with soft lighting and jazzy background music. The chef came out to ask how the ravioli was, which felt genuine, not performative. A delightful pasta find.“

“Excellent time! Ordered the Calabrian Steak and Shrimp Bucatini w/ extra, extra cheese and the Chocolate Lasagna for dessert. The Calabrian crème sauce was spicy, but not overpowering. The dessert was scrumptious! Sarah, our waitress, checked in to make sure everything was perfect. Especially the request for extra, extra cheese lol. “First time here. We saw a review on facebook and decided to try it out. Very small place but cute. We walked in and was left standing not knowing if we sit ourself and there were several tables that needed to be cleaned off. An elderly lady looked at us and did not acknowledge us so I said, shall we seat ourselfs? The lady was the owner Angela, which seemed like she was taking orders, serving and making food. We sat down with no menus and my husband had to get up and go to the counter and Angela just said can I help you? Wow. We never even got our water until 1/2 hour later. We sat at a table next to the womens bathroom and the area smelled a little of sewer which was not enjoyable. Finally she took our order. We ordered a small pepperoni pizza and shared a antipasta salad which was very good and the pizza was good. My hubby ordered to go an sausage & pepper sandwich. The sandwich not so good. It was very salty and the sausage tasted old. Service was extremely slow. We are not sure if we will give it another try or not based on our experience.“

“Excellent pizza, the place is takeout only, definitely not the prettiest place, but hey, you're there just to say thanks to the folks who made your food, pay for it, and pick it up. Great crust, crunchy outside, soft and fluffy inside. Sweet sauce is not too sweet but definitely on the sweet side. Real mozzarella is not too salty, but nice gooey and melty. And fairly generous with the toppings. Great place for your "cheat" meal of the week.“

“This place is like Subway, but with pizza instead of sandwiches (and much fresher ingredients). They have a menu of pizzas, but you can customize all of your toppings as you watch a staff member put it together for you every step of the way - from saucing to firing it up in the pizza oven so it comes out fast and hot. The crust is consistently perfect (thin and crispy), there are a ton of fresh, quality ingredient options, and the flavors are amazing. This is a place I have frequented for years and I can honestly say that I have never had a pizza I didn't like. I've tried a handful of them, but my go-to is the green pie (pesto basil sauce, mozzarella, feta, zucchini, eggplant, artichoke hearts & fresh tomatoes). My husband does not like vegetables too much, but even he has learned to let them make it as-is, without customizing it, because it is SO GOOD! The chicken wings are juicy, meaty, and delicious. The salads and Mediterranean plates are great as well (chicken/beef kabob, falafel or chicken shawarma served with rice, salad, hummus, pita bread, and garlic sauce). There is even a dessert counter where you can usually find an assortment of treats like macarons, Dubai chocolate bars, and Baklava. They also serve beer (bottled and on tap).

Aside from the great food, the place has a great ambience with a large & spacious indoor dining area as well as a large shaded patio area in the front (facing bustling Citrus Ave), big screen TVs, and even a little game machine for the kids. They do a great job of keeping it all nice and clean. A small touch I really appreciate is that they conveniently keep extra plates, silverware, condiments, and to-go boxes out in the front so you can use as much as you need without having to ask for them.

On top of all that, it's in a prime location in downtown Covina so there is plenty to do if you have some time to walk around. Great for families and casual date nights.
