“This is the best restaurant in Gold River and one of the best in Sacramento, hands down. True hidden gem. My family has been going for years and we look forward to many lunches and dinners to come. Food is amazingly prepared and always fresh, great portions and quality- each plate could be $10 more expensive and I’d still happily pay. Don’t tell the owner. We love the atmosphere, great indoor and outdoor dining and always amazing service. If you don’t know about Z California Cuisine I feel bad for you! Only place I recommend anyone to try with full confidence they’ll have a great experience.“

“Is one awesome place to go to. You get to pick what you want on your pizza for one price and they are baked in a big old brick oven and they are delicious. I've been going to blaze Pizza for a long time and I loved it every time and I walk out with a smile on my face and a happy tummy. I would recommend everybody to go there you will not be disappointed. I will be a fateful customer for a long time and I'm already 68 and I'm not giving up anytime soon so visit it and you will be satisfied I guarantee. “Wow! If I lived closer to this place my wallet would be in trouble. We were nearby at the Sac Children's Museum and stumbled across this place when looking through restaurant reviews and were so happy we did. If you are trying to decide where to eat in the area, stop and head over. Highly recommend due to the amazing food (we had the Potato Bolani, Lamb Kebab and Chicken Kebab), warm service, free tea while we waited and huge portions. Can't wait to go back.

Back in December, my family was dining there when the owner came over and shared his story behind Riley’s, a tribute to a beloved Labrador who changed his life. “New Owners! Delicious Persian and Pakistani (alternate pages of menu). We had their paneer appetizer). It had big cubes of soft Pakistani cheese in a tomato based cream sauce with finely chopped ginger. Fabulous. We also enjoyed a grilled eggplant with a Persian yogurt cultured from sheep and goat milks. The butter chicken was exceptional: he grills his chicken, chops it, then adds the juicy chunks of meat into his delectable sauce. His ground beef kabob was juicy and tender. I enjoyed an inhouse, freshly made mango lassi. Wow! We have enough leftover to enjoy a shared lunch tomorrow.“

“It's been so difficult, post-pandemic, to find good, quality, delicious food places. This place gives me hope. Hands down some of the BEST food I've had at a kabob restaurant. No exaggeration. It's clear they use quality ingredients, and know how to cook. I legit had an emotional moment with my chicken kabob plate lol. The gyros are super yummy too. Definitely coming back, and definitely recommending them to anyone looking for a good gyro or kabob!“

“Today was my first time going to this place, there was two orders ahead of my order. Each order is made fresh when the customer comes in, not like other sandwich shop where they make the sandwich as soon as it’s called in. There’s a big difference of a sandwich made fresh and a sandwich that sits for awhile. The employee has a great attitude, the owner came in and he was polite and easy to talk to.
The atmosphere is perfect, the music is just right, the seats and tables are clean and so is the toilet area.“

“I go here about once every two weeks . I love the food or just for the shake with the boba . I recommend this restaurant to neighbors who live in the neighborhood and bring people from out of the state when visiting . The atmosphere and cleanliness is impeccable . The receptionist / waitress has got to be the most unfriendliness person I have ever met in my 84 yrs of life . It is impossible to even get a friendly smile let alone words or a “thank You” . It is a big turn off. I have neighbors who will not go there because of her. It is hard to ignore .“

“Two days ago was in the store with my husband Michael - I echo his praise and add the following comments:

Always allowed to use the restroom so don’t know what the one guy on Yelp is complaining about. It is well documented that the store closes at 8pm, and on this night, they didn’t rush us out even though we were still eating at 8pm. They let us stay while they cleaned the store for the night so we could finish eating. My husband wanted a meatball sandwich. Thank goodness the employee let us know that at that time of night, right before closing, the meatballs were frozen so my husband can change his mind. The meatballs during the day probably have the chance to marinade with the sauce…they would taste awful if used frozen. As for hygiene, the store is immaculate AND they wash their hands before handling food. I even saw gloves in use. One lady on Yelp complained about people from the Middle East. The absolute irrelevance of national origin, and the nature of her comments, suggests racism. If by Middle East she is trying to infer Muslim religion, then she should understand how important being a good host is to a Muslim…I have NEVER been treated so well as I am treating by Muslims while on travel. With regard to the two men I always see on duty at the store, one may be a Muslim (irrelevant, if he is) but I doubt the other is a Muslim; he wears his hair like he is a Sikh (not Muslim) which would suggest he is from Punjab, the north of India, which is in South Asia, not the Middle East. This potential Punjabi gentleman is very friendly to me and my husband, every visit.

When I saw the store is immaculate, I mean spotless. the table and floors, even behind the counter, are always clean, the trash in the bin not overflowing, and there are no bad smells. I am posting this on Google because the review on Yelp was so unfair. This place, the food, and these people are great. We drive a considerable distance just to order food with them.“

“Strobelli's is the best pizza in my area, when I feeling cheap I will get Dominos, but when I want to eat a very good pizza I chose Strobelli's, cost more but it is definitely worth the price, the meat is fresh, the vegetables are fresh, the dough is fresh. Clean restaurant and the restaurant was very cool and comfortable with outside temperatures close to 100 degrees! The BHD had plenty of workers taking orders, preparing great sandwiches, being amazing with customers, smiling, and I really enjoyed the ambiance. I ordered the Marsey Nachos, The High Tide sandwich, and The Malibu. WOW! Folks, these sandwiches were as big as any meal I've ever had. So much value for the money ?. “Went for lunch with my wife after a medical appointment at Sutter Hosp. We arrived at about noon...we were the only customers there...very friendly staff, greeted us and seated us.
The food was delicious, one of the best French Dip sandwiches I have ever eaten! The wife had a delicious shrimp salad that she found excellent.
Very bizarre being the staffonly customers in this beautiful space...I asked if they get busy, and she said it can get very busy in the evening.

We had an email allowing us a free chicken sandwich when you use the app. We don't eat out often so this was a treat for us. My husband had already used the app, so this was his second time in the app to get the free sandwich with our order. When we picked up our food, two of the young workers couldn't help us with this promotion, so we spoke with the manager. She also said sorry we can't help you! We were at the window and received our order, but had to order another item as the chicken sandwich was going to be my husband dinner and we wouldn't receive it. While we were trying to get this order going another young man came up to the window to help us! He heard about the situation and honored the free Chicken sandwich promotion. Everyone was kind regardless of the situation. We love this location and because of Elijah, we left happy customers.“

“The food was excellent and our server was awesome!

However, the gentleman who works at the front counter and the woman who sat us didn't seem like they were having a good evening. No, hello or how are you even after I asked them how they were doing. It almost made you feel as if you were a nuisance/annoyed they had to deal with speaking to you therefore it didn't feel welcoming at all. We were seated quickly as it was around 7pm on a Saturday and not overly busy.

Our server changed that non welcoming feeling. She immediately greeted us with a smile and was very friendly and helpful. I really wish I remembered her name but I hadn't planned on leaving a review until I got a yelp notification asking me to do so.

We will definitely be back because of the service she provided and all 3 of us in our party enjoyed our food. If the food hadn't been good and our server had been like the first two employees, we wouldn't be open to dining here again, so both of those things saved our experience.
