“A hidden gem for Korean comfort food, this small shop goes head-to-head with anything you'd find in K-town. Everything is made fresh, the wings are crunchy and packed with flavor, the rice bowls come out piping hot and are filled with good-sized portions, and the folks running the place are friendly and accommodating. I've ordered nearly everything on the menu, and while I so far haven't found anything I didn't enjoy, the wings stand out to me as being the stars of this restaurant.“

“We used to have a Paik Noodle’s in our area, and it sadly closed 😭😭. Excited to find one within driving distance. Very clean, good service, and the food was delicious!

We walked in really late but they were very hospitable and we were still able to eat in.

We ordered the jjajangmyeon, tangsuyuk, soy garlic wings, and sweet and spicy wings. Everything was delicious. You can’t go wrong.
They gave us some jjambong (soup only) as well. That was also delicious. We seriously ate it all.“

“Food: this is a sports bar/dive that serves great Korean food. I recommend trying the chicken wings or kimchi pork fried rice.

Parking: the restaurant has ample parking since it’s in a large shopping area, anchored by CVS.

Tips: they offer a good variety of draft beers. They have pork hock, which goes great with beer when watching a game.“

“Never really had Korean food or rice cake but then I tried out Halgattoek in Northridge. Food was amazing tried the Grandma Tteokbokki and the Chicken Gangjeong (Korean Soy Garlic) with a side of Gimmari and Rice Ball. Not only was the food amazing but the service was outstanding too. Very friendly staff, Janelle was amazing, checked in with us to see how we were and if we needed anything. Will be coming back for more!“

“my friend and i went in there just to check out the place and the owner was super sweet and friendly! she showed up the different ramen packets with spice levels, how the ramen making stations worked, as well as all the other drinks/desserts they offered at their restaurant. will definitely come again!“

“I came to this mom and pop restaurant on a Saturday night with no expectations and boy was I BLOWN AWAY. I absolutely loved it. The couple that own the place were super sweet and helpful in helping me decide what to get. I got the bulgogi bowl (first time ever having one) and it was one of the best dishes that I’ve ever had. I wish I lived closer to be able to eat there every, single, day. I cannot recommend this place ENOUGH, please give them a shot, you will not be disappointed.“

“We stopped here on the way home from LA. The food is cooked to order, so very fresh and hot! There is a little wait but worth it. If I am traveling through that area again and hungry for small restaurants cuisine , I’m stopping there! I have had Korean Bbque before but this informal way with plates, tacos and bowls is genius. I ordered the sirloin bibimbap. I customized it with no rice just salad greens, the shredded veggies, protein and sweet egg. Two sauces came with it on the side. It was delicious! I’ll dream about that meal! My husband ordered the chicken Katsu bowl. He also really enjoyed it. He is no on the veggies ( rice and protein, sauce) and I am always trying to keep it low carb. The chef was willing to customized kindly with no rice. There are tofu options. There are options for many food lifestyles. Delicious and robust with freshness and flavor!“

“This is one of my favorite authentic Korean restaurants. This NOT an All-You-Can-Eat (AYCE) restaurant. Those are so common but I've never been a big fan which is why I love this place. The do have the usual dishes like kalbi, bbq chicken, banchan, etc. but they also have a wide range of authentic Korean food for those who like to explore and try different things. The service is great, food is always amazing, and the place is a nice hole in the wall. Most dishes are family style especially for dinner but they also do lunch service. The cost per person varies on whether you go for lunch or dinner and if you decide to order multiple dishes to share/try. Also there's always plenty of parking.“

“My mom wanted Korean food for Mother’s Day so we went here and we absolutely loved everything we ordered! The sides were plentiful and the entree portions were good. My mom especially loved the japchae. I liked the texture of the tteokbokki. Kimchi tasted like how my cousin made it (not store-bought). Beef bulgogi was a big pile of meat! Staff was very friendly and attentive. The stainless steel cups & water pitchers were a nice touch. The place was very clean.“

If you’ve been to BCD Tofu House, it’s basically same food quality minus the chaos of that.

“Food was super tasty! Price was great for the portion they give and they really load up the bowl. Service was quick and my cashier was nice!

I got the spicy mayo chicken bowl and the chicken was juicy with a crispy batter. The sauce was really spicy which I loved and it went great with their house made pickles! Rice was perfectly cooked and soaked up all the sauce. I also got a side of their kimchi and it was good not as spicy as I like my kimchi but it had a good brine and crisp flavor and was a perfect combination with the spicy chicken.

Overall I will be coming back and am very happy that they’re a quick walk from my job!“

“Been visiting for 20 years. Taste and flavor are always on point! Friendly service, you won't get unless you get the owner herself. But the food is always so friggin delicious, that I don't care about friendliness. It's not full service anyway, and the food comes out quickly. And, the price is so reasonable - better than reasonable. I could almost never go to any other restaurants in the same plaza because this place is so much more superior.“

“The best Korean stews in the entire Valley. I know there's musse and few other places sell similar foods, but as a Korean who knows all the best places for this kind of food, the traditional soups are the best here in this area.

If you want to have a decent experience with sulungtang (beef bone stew), yukgaejang (spicy beef stew with noodles), samgyetang (chicken with herbs and ginseng), hangover stew, without going to specialty places in koreatown this is your best bet.“

“Love Jo&Go Sushi. They saved me when we first moved to LA and while the house was being remodeled.

4 years later... it's still as good as first discovered. It's a neighborhood gem inside the Korean Greenland Mrkt, which btw, is also awesome.

Must try is the salmon bowl, the salmon slices are so tender and buttery... they give you a crazy amount of salmon over the rice and seriously it's enough to have a 2nd meal! One note about the bowl... I'm not a fan of drenching really good cooked rice with sauce, so I always order without the sauce. The rice is not sushi rice which makes it even more delicious... the rice is always perfectly cooked. You get a miso soup and a cute little container of pickled radish (delish). I would love to know where they source the fish... it's like being in Japan, it's so fresh.

“The taste is almost identical to Northridge BB.Q. The difference is that they don't provide the complimentary pickled radish. Also, I ordered two extra sides of pickled radish, but unlike Northridge BB.Q., the portions were very small.
I could tell they used clean oil just by looking at the chicken, and it tasted amazing.“

“Quiet korean restraunt with a friendly owner and staff. Side dishes were solid. Yugaejang was a 7.5/10. There was no gosari which is kind of important and a bit oily with heavy amt of fish sauce imo. Nangmyeon was solid a 7.9/10. Its a bit pricey but cheaper then some eats in ktown. Plenty of parking in the back.“

“Ugh, the best KBBQ in the valley. I’ve been to all the local eateries and nothing compares like Shik Do Rak.
I usually get the brisket, ribeye, and bulgogi combination and it’s more than enough.
Their staff is very attentive and is friendly!

It’s not all you can eat but, honestly the quality of food, side dishes and hospitality out eats all you can eat any day of the week.

“The best chicken I've had in my LIFE. Order ahead of time cause it's usually quite busy! Be prepared for a bit of a wait, and know that it is WORTH IT. I love the kimchi fried rice, and all the different flavors we have tried have been incredible. No misses yet!“

“honestly i loved this place. we got the kalbi and it was super tender with that perfect char on the outside. the side dishes kept coming and i couldnt stop eating the kimchi, it was so good. my wife got the galbi jjim and she didnt say a word until her plate was clean. im already thinking about when we can come back next.“
