“Was driving in Sunland last night and saw this restaurant beside a gas station. After my errand, I called them and placed an order for a chicken kabob plate. Arrived early and the food came out after a little while. The plate came with your choice of two sides, a main carb, and the juiciest and perfectly cooked chicken kabobs. The serving is generous. The sides I got which are ikra and baba ganoush were also so good. It also came with pita bread. Soooo good and will definitely be back!“

“The lunch special is a really good deal as the food is always hot and delicious. The long grain basmati rice is extremely soft and so delicious. The boneless chicken kabobs are super juicy and cooked to perfection. I knew the food was good as I used the delivery service before. Today I decided to visit the Cafe and I promise I’ll continue going frequently. The food is delicious but what won me over was the welcome and love you experience when you walk in the door. The staff is amazing... the Cafe has a very “welcome home” atmosphere. The complimentary cup of soup is AWESOME. I sat at a corner table allowing me to do what I love...watch people. As I enjoyed my delicious first meal of 2020 I watched as every person who entered was treated with care and joy. Just like being home the staff will keep checking to see if the food is ok and if you need anything. “On 12-3-2025 I had a pick up order. In my mind I thought my order was for 10:30am. Francisco with a nice smile let me know that it was for 11:30pm so it could be nice a hot for my 12pm luncheon. I didn’t agree, however Francisco respectfully showed my purchase sale slip and there it was the time 11:30am. Francisco and his chef made accommodations to have my ‘Family pack’ ready by 11:00am. 😊
Francisco professionally, patiently, listened respectfully and with kindness explained in detail what vegan options they had. Francisco knew in detail how the food I inquired about was prepared.
Everything I ordered was packed great, it was fhot , looked delicious and smelled delicious and it was delicious. ♥️
My friends enjoyed all the was prepared and told their friends. I am grateful that The Kebab Shop had VEGAN options.♥️

“This place is under New Management for about three months and the new owners are super friendly. The atmosphere is great. The food is delicious. My favorite is the chicken Lula kebab wrap. If you get the plate, you can ask for hummus on the side or extra tomato sauce. In the plate, you get some Mediterranean style rice with your choice of meat on top.“

Recently picked up a tray of su boreg or basically an Armenian lasagna and it was outstanding! Thawed out quicker than expected but did bake it slightly longer than recommended while also broiling it to get the top crispy rather than placing a wet towel over the top as recommended.

“Two serious complaints about Mizlala. One is that they need to move into my part of the SF Valley ASAP. The second is their crazy parking lot.

But one thing is for certain. This place serves outstanding Middle Eastern cuisine. Far better than anything I've had anywhere. Wonderful flavors, spices and herbs. Succulent chicken Pargiyot, Taste bomb Moroccan fried chicken. Sumac fries to die for. Salads bursting with feta, Kalamata olives, beets, radishes and tomatoes. Perfectly nuanced sauces and dressings. A delight for the senses.

Their staff is friendly and very helpful.
