“This place is a gem! I’ve been to Boba Nation a few times now and it’s quickly become my favorite boba spot. The variety on the menu is great there’s something for every mood, whether you’re into fruity teas or creamy milk-based drinks. Last time I got their strawberry matcha latte, and it was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had.“

That's the way I like them . The burgers are generous for the lettuce and tomato and there are plenty of condiments. You can get sodas or shakes or both.
There are other locations around the East Bay, not as many as there used to, but they're all pretty much equally good including the two that are on MacArthur boulevard, one near High Street and one near fruitvale.
All in all, one of my go-to burger places.
Pro tip, have plenty of napkins ready or just bring your roll of paper towels that you keep in the car.“

U sit outside under a canopy surrounded by beautiful fruit trees and plants. It is a mom and pop food truck set up. It is not a wine and dine type of place. If u r looking for a place to have good food, this is it!! They r only opened on Sat and Sun and close when they sell out. “My partner and I live closeby, been to a lot of sushi restaurants but this has got to be one of the best ones. Don’t let the slow traffic fool you, this place is a hidden gem for us. As much as we want to tell our friends about it, we don’t want them to discover this place and make it busy.

We usually order the polo bowl, karaage, veggie caterpillar roll, chicken bento, and ocean roll.

“Quick drive thru, used to eat there when I worked in Hayward and we would always go. Hadn't been there in 30 years and it tastes exactly the same. I always got the carne asada super burrito. The salsa goes great with it. Highly recommend if you want to grab a great burrito on the go or to take home or work“

I think it's going to take me several visits to master eating egusi with fufu, but that was very tasty too. The Suup! -- soursop soda is delicious and refreshing. “This place is one of my favorites whenever I crave for phoa. However in my recent visit my order for phoa has some basil leaves that have some insect bites in them and they were not welded out when served with my order. I complained to the server but he mere said sorry and not change the basil served to me. I hope they will be more careful in serving fresh veggies to customers.“

“Gong Cha is always a staple of mine whenever I am looking for boba and they happened to have a convenient location near shopping and some good restaurants.

Note: Gong Cha locations use a non-dairy creamer but beware, these almost always still contain whey which is a dairy derivative. It's a common misnomer so always ask for non-dairy milk if you are vegan like myself or adverse to dairy products/have an allergy.

In order to get a non-dairy drink, I was told to order from the Fresh Milk Menu. I did so with my Brown Sugar Milk Tea with Oat Milk and it was satisfying overall. It is indeed quite sweet even with 50% sugar so I'd advise to go even less if you aren't wanting a completely sweet drink.

The best part is that they really pack the food in, you get a ton of value for what you pay for. Unlike other places like Panda, which cheaps out on quantity. “Hayward has always been a pass through town for me, that is until Brosco Bill and his little stab Coco de Avantè told me about Pick-A-Deli.
They claimed it's the best deli in the bay area! Well....That's a pretty tall statement, so I left my little hamlet of Napa and made the trek to Hayward to see for myself. When I get a request to visit a new deli I always order the same thing, a simple ham sandwich, and leave the rest up to the maker. I got my sando, and it was perfectly prepared, an even distribution of meat, perfect amounts of mayo and the dijon was well balanced, the sliced sourdough was a great accompaniment as were the chips and a crisp kosher pickle.
Is Pick-A-Deli the best deli in the bay area...No, Is it in the top 10, ...Yes!
