“My fiancé and I hosted a joint bachelorette/bachelor trip and showed up for brunch at Vista with a group of 16—without a reservation! The team was so accommodating, setting us up in a beautiful shaded outdoor lounge area and bringing extra seating without any fuss. The service was fantastic, with attentive staff making sure our drinks were never empty. Great vibes, amazing hospitality, and a perfect spot for groups! Highly recommend. Oh, and get a reservation.“

“One of the busiest and best spot in Hermosa combining great food with a young fun atmosphere and cool decor. The outside patio is usually packed and you should def get a reservation at peak times. Inside has really nice comfortable boot and nice wall treatments that stand out on the pier in a good way. You really can't go wrong with the good here.. of the ceviche trio the cabo is our favorite.. being more of a traditional flavor. The shrimp taquitos are not only delicious but visually a great presentation. We have had tons of the dishes here and the seafood is wonderful as are the more traditional Mexican dishes and combination plates. The menu is pretty deep and the kitchen puts out great food pretty quickly even when its packed. This is one of our favorite places in Hermosa because it has such as great buzz and also excellent service, food and drinks. Has to be our #1 option on the pier.“

“3rd time I've been here this year, and my opinion of St. Rocke keeps going up. It's the best local live music venue since Cafe Bugaloo closed. St. Rocke bar staff is super, and they consistently make a good Negroni, I briefly talked to Willie the guy who mixes the music, and found he and the rest of the staff welcoming and good spirited. It makes it even better to be able to walk to a mini concert from home. Like the recent lineup, too.“

“Brought some friends there to watch playoff football and a ufc fight. Ended up having the best filet mignon of my life. So tender you could slice through it with the side of your fork. Had fresh oysters from Virginia, which I was told are only $2 on Tuesday or Wednesday (have to fact check here). And probably the best thing on the menu is the bacon wrapped plantains, not a lot of food, but every bite is heaven. Wife loved her fancy drinks, but I prefer scotch.“

“Had our holiday party at The Corner Door - it was great! The team was really wonderful to work with. Quick to follow up, willing to work with us to fit our needs. We had a group of about 14, and they roped off a section of the bar so we could have a private space. The food was excellent, bar service was great.“

“This place is an anomaly. At one time the foodie fads of LA had people of great stature waiting for an hour on a long line to eat the Kogi truck magic. But now you can do it and have he barely to yourself and great well poured drinks. “Sam First is second to none! What a great venue. I honestly thought it was going to be a weird venue given its proximity to LAX but I was happily surprised at this chic and great-sounding jazz venue.

I saw a cool man order tea and a cookie so I ordered tea and the bar accidentally brought cookies with my tea. That’s a mistake I can improvise off of.

I went for 3 days in a row. The staff and customers are very friendly and the atmosphere is great.

The only feedback I have for the business is that volume is not a substitute for quality when it comes to music. The music was significantly overamplified, and while palatable, lacked discernment and seemed a bit random.

“I had a great experience here. I called once we landed to see if we would be able to check in early, and they said yes. My husband was so sick from the plane ride, so we were grateful for that. The room we were given wasn’t cleaned, but the front desk immediately found us one that was ready. I love the waiting area set up, and there was a cute large connect 4 game. I enjoyed a drink a bar, the bartender was very sweet. The floors are confusing, so be sure to ask the staff what floor your room is on. Parking was simple, it’s designated just for the hotel. You can pay hourly or do all day. There is a shuttle to the airport I think. We rented a vehicle though. You are walking distance from a pharmacy and a few restaurants. “We had breakfast a BLU in San Pedro and the food was good but the service from Pedro and Genka was exceptional.
What wonderful people. I had the Denver omelet with potatoes, sourdough toast and fruit with coffee and OJ and my wife had two eggs with oatmeal, fruit and hot tea. A nice morning with great people and good food.
