The team was so accommodating, setting us up in a beautiful shaded outdoor lounge area and bringing extra seating without any fuss. The service was fantastic, with attentive staff making sure our drinks were never empty. Great vibes, amazing hospitality, and a perfect spot for groups! Highly recommend. “This is one of our favorite spots in the south bay! We love it so much we actually had our wedding reception at the rooftop. Food and service are always great and Andrew has been fantastic at taking care of our guests on our wedding day. Love their Iris Azul, El Pistachio and all the mezcal drinks. As for food - die for tortillas and decadent Chimichangas!“

“Old school California music club. Last Wednesday of the month: Songwriter Showcase.
Last night's (7/30/25) Showcase lineup was out of this world. Very exciting mix of original work by talented musicians. This night had a number of repeat appearances from the last 15 months of the program along with first-time appearances. It just keeps getting better!
Always a nice and friendly crowd responsive to and supportive of the performers.
Craft beer from Hermosa Brewing Company and Project Barley on tap. Mixed and canned drinks. Opens at 7 PM, so eat dinner first.
Can bring in food (clean up after yourself if & when you do). No wait staff: order drinks at the bar.

“Brought some friends there to watch playoff football and a ufc fight. Ended up having the best filet mignon of my life. So tender you could slice through it with the side of your fork. Had fresh oysters from Virginia, which I was told are only $2 on Tuesday or Wednesday (have to fact check here). And probably the best thing on the menu is the bacon wrapped plantains, not a lot of food, but every bite is heaven. Wife loved her fancy drinks, but I prefer scotch.“

“My friend told me this is a great neighborhood spot so I strolled over an hour before sunset.... I wanted to relax after a high-stimuli day of work and looked forward to winding down from work mode... Unbeknownst to me... a group of 30+ people came for a film networking event (!) a few minutes after I walked in. I had to leave much earlier than I wanted to b/c the atmosphere was not what I wanted or expected (but I am glad this film networking group was so well-attended - none of them knew each other!).

I had the chicken skewers - they were tasty!

“I think this is mostly a place for serious music listeners who probably have a fairly good idea of what they are going to listen to. The prices are totally reasonable and affordable to also for me, occasionally take a chance on hearing someone I don’t know but have a good feeling about.
This club is the best thing to happen to LA.

“I would make my entire house look like this bar if I were single but still have my wife's income in some kind of she paid me to move out kind of way. Excellent cocktails, small and straightforward menu, service is spot on. Enter at the corner opposite the main entrance.

“If I could give more than 5 stars for customer service I would. The skillet Carlos delivered wasn't just customer it was high class hospitality to where we were the host stepping into his home. He was phenomenal from the first interaction. As a disabled person you know I have plenty of things I look for. Ease of parking ✔️ accessibility especially for a variety of mobility aides ✔️ comfort in using the restroom companion or alone ✔️ . This place not only ada compliant offered comfort for all disabilities. The beers on tap easily accessible even those of us in mobility aide mode.

Food was absolutely delicious 😋 I opted for lemon chicken. My friend cajun pasta. Mother the chicken wings. Although slow too cook ingredients were fresh and flavorful. Our cocktails my margaritta needs some work being a former bartender/manager but presentation and deliveryb10/10 beers on draft 100/10 something for everybody and martinis 10/1].

Parking not visible was easy to find courtesy of apple a recent complex on level 1 and 2 for two free hours . Tale a phot of your plate prior to entering establishment

My overall experience 9/10 but they are new so 10/10 for effort . Perfect spot for girls night or brunch, couples friends pet familes and adults of all ages to experience. As a person with disabilities one of the few truly ada friendly/compliant for all mobility aides and needs.“

“First let me say I gave the food 5 stars but actually I didn't try it so I just kept everything five stars. I was in town for a funeral and I needed somewhere to go and have a drink shoot a game of pool and relax. I stopped by this place and everyone was very friendly including the bartender Michelle and they made me feel like I was a regular. When some of the guests found out that I was in town for a funeral some of them offered drinks to me and my family for our loss. This is a friendly place and I felt at home and I would definitely come back here and recommend that you try it as well.“

“I had a great experience here. I called once we landed to see if we would be able to check in early, and they said yes. My husband was so sick from the plane ride, so we were grateful for that. The room we were given wasn’t cleaned, but the front desk immediately found us one that was ready. I love the waiting area set up, and there was a cute large connect 4 game. I enjoyed a drink a bar, the bartender was very sweet. The floors are confusing, so be sure to ask the staff what floor your room is on. Parking was simple, it’s designated just for the hotel. You can pay hourly or do all day. There is a shuttle to the airport I think. We rented a vehicle though. You are walking distance from a pharmacy and a few restaurants. “Walking into Old Lightning feels like stepping into Pablo Moix’s private whiskey collection—rare, curated, and full of bottles you’ve only seen in photos. Hidden behind Scopa, the bar features an incredible lineup of high-end spirits: single cask Springbanks, rare Willetts, unique Balvenies, and other bottles you’ll probably never see again. Prices are high (sometimes maybe a bit too high), but you're paying for access to some truly special stuff.

“We had breakfast a BLU in San Pedro and the food was good but the service from Pedro and Genka was exceptional.
What wonderful people. I had the Denver omelet with potatoes, sourdough toast and fruit with coffee and OJ and my wife had two eggs with oatmeal, fruit and hot tea. A nice morning with great people and good food.

“I go here with my friends from time to time if we want to get drinks in the neighborhood. It’s definitely known for its wine, which compared to other wine bars in LA this place is reasonably priced. The bartenders always give great recommendations and often let you try it before committing to a bottle. The biggest complaint is that the music was way too loud inside. I don’t know what the strategy is but you can’t even hear your own thoughts. The patio is great, but definitely get there early because it gets packed.“
