“One particularly hot night my mom and I searched, “Best Gelato near me” and the top result was Mangiamo! After eating the gelato 3 times in a row, we can definitely say that title is well earned! The Double Chocolate flavor is for sure the best chocolate flavored Gelato in the whole state of California; not to mention it’s totally authentic too! The server is also incredibly kind and pleasant to talk to. Overall, this place is such a phenomenal experience and we would highly recommend it for vacationers and gelato connoisseurs alike!“

“Amazing breakfast!! We had an omelette and aeal with pancakes and both were fantastic!! They served a hot sauce from Red Beards that complemented the omelette perfectly and bought some online afterwards!! When we're back in Huntington Beach, we'll definitely make another stop at the Sugar Shack!“

I’ve been going here for at least the last decade and Michelle’s baking quality meets my expectations every time. I bought 3 and some chocolates today. Highly recommend calling ahead of time, especially during the busier/holiday season so they can save your pastry!“

“CASH ONLY. French Toast Combo eggs, bacon $12. That’s unheard of it was delicious service was superb. I just wish there were some signs pointing it was cash only as cash is tight right now. I get it though they can keep the cost down haven’t been to a cash only joint in years.“

“YUM!!! The breakfast burrito was AMAZING. The cinnamon roll french toast doesn't need syrup because it is perfectly sweet. Next time I will indulge in the pie. The view of the lake is beautiful and relaxing. I am so glad I found this gem.“

She even played into our humor which most servers would probably be annoyed with because if you have worked in the biz, you know when 8 ladies walk into the restaurant, it’s gonna be a treat. “Food was pretty good. I wanted to give 5 star service for the employee/cashier who right off the bat greeted us and gave us a heads up on the food wait. He was also super patient while we tried to figure out the menu. The food did take a bit of time to come out as forewarned but was not that bad of a wait. I’ve waited longer and judging from the amount of people in the dining area, it was reasonable. The only real negative thing was that were no napkins in any of the napkins dispensers. I’m a messy eater, I need my napkins!! Haha!“
