“I read good reviews so we thought would go and give a try. Well the family and I had fantastic meal. My husband had a goat fish and said was very flavorful and tasty. For the kids (8, 11)we got a mild Lamb Korma and Butter chicken. With these I confirmed that they would be mild enough for the kids. The butter chicken and lamb korma even though was ordered as mild (no spice at all to it) it had an absolutely amazing flavor to it- perfect for kids. Now I have had a lot of butter chicken and hands down this was the best I have ever had. The chicken fried rice we ordered was very tasty as well. Highlight for my husband was the beer from India. He said it was very nice and complimented the food nicely.“

Masala Waves is an absolute gem. We started with the tandoori fish and the samosa chaat and wow both were bursting with flavor. The fish was perfectly cooked tender and packed with smoky spices and the samosa chaat had the perfect balance of crispy tangy and comforting. The mango lassi was so refreshing and creamy easily one of the best I’ve had. The chicken biryani truly stole my heart. It honestly reminds me of my mom’s cooking. The spices the aroma and the tenderness of the chicken made it feel like a warm homemade meal made with love. On top of all that the service was wonderful and so kind and welcoming which made the experience even better. I absolutely love this place and cannot wait to come back 💓🍛✨“

“They have really good food“

“This small Indian restaurant is not the best place to eat in. It gets hot inside and there is no air conditioning. However, it is perfect for takeout. The food is consistently delicious. The butter chicken, chicken tandoori, and chicken tikka masala are all full of flavor. The garlic naan is soft, warm, and really tasty.

Service is fast and efficient, so picking up your order is quick and easy. If you are looking for great Indian food to take home, this is a solid choice.“

“Wow, first time trying this place and I’m so happy I did. Best donuts and strawberry & crème croissant/whatever it was, ever! One of the donuts was a hybrid glaze/cinnamon roll donut…amazing! I just finished eating everything and my mouth is watering just typing this out right now. Highly recommend this place! So good!“

“What a lovely surprise! We had been eyeing Himalayan Delights since it opened and finally ordered take out a few months ago. It’s been on repeat ever since! We have tried the butter chicken, chicken korma, chicken tikka masala, tandoori, naan, and our absolute favorite is the chicken momo!! Omg it’s amazing. Wonderful service, delicious and authentic food….it’s our go-to for Indian/Nepalese. Must try!“

“Amazing tasting food!
Vegetable Samoosa, Daal Tadhka Lentil, rice, and Naan were delicious. Prices were very good, and very nice clean table settings, plates, and inside. The outside, which looks misleading, is nothing like the clean interior. I highly recommend this restaurant!

For the record, for all other Indian restaurants: Take notice of how Daal Tadhka should be properly cooked and looked like, as was the case at this great restaurant.“

Friendly staff, flavorful food, suspiciously low prices. They give you huge portions, had about 8 different dishes on hand, free toppings (fried onions, chutney, etc.) which I’ve never seen offered before.

“Vishnu Catering did a spectacular job at the event that I planned for ~100 people in Santa Barbara. They showed up on time, prepared, and were very professional to work with throughout the entire process. We haven't even gotten to the food yet - every single person at the event (desi and non-desi) enjoyed the food and praised the food to us. Of note, the rasmalai, double ka meetha, mutton curry, mango daal, chai, apollo fish, mango lassi, chicken tikka masala, paneer makhani, aloo gobi, and more. You can't go wrong by choosing Vishnu Catering for your event. They were a hit. Thanks Ram, for all the effort and for helping making our day so special.“

“I moved to Louisiana a couple years ago and miss this place sooo much!! Mama is so sweet. She always took care of me! One time my blood sugar dropped while i was waiting for my naan and she fixed me up a little plate so fast and sat with me to make sure i was ok. The food there is delicious! I can’t find it here like they make it! My favorites are vegetable korma - saag aloo - and chicken tiki masala!“

“Sweet and friendly server , small restaurant. Several booths and a few small tables. Not fancy but comfortable.

We ordered 2 lamb dishes and one vegetarian, all were tasty. The korma was noted on other recommendations so we tried and were not disappointed.

The dessert was a small portion so I wished the kheer had a bit more serving for the cost.

Beer and wine options but no cocktails fyi.

Extra note/ This is Definitely better than another Indian restaurant further down Second st amidst the sport bar district. ( Natraj) That one has small portions, less fresh, and less friendly service. They also upcharge / don't even include rice with their entrees.

“This is by far the best Indian food in OC and possibly in SoCal. My husband and I have been eating here for over a decade and we’ve found the service, food quality, and family that owns the place to be exceptional every single time. We are greeted like family when we come in and consistently have a great experience. We’ve had Indian food from CA to London, and still, Tandoori has the best flavor of them all. My husband has tried a number of things on the menu and raves about the Chicken tikka masala. I LOVE the veggie korma. The flavor is full and rich, and when you ask for spicy, they give it to you. The garlic naan is absolutely delicious, as are the samosas. We’ve eaten in, gotten takeout, and also ordered on DoorDash tons of times and every single time the food is piping hot and so flavorful. We love that it’s family run and that they use all family recipes. I’ve seen some reviews mention portion sizes being small, which is wild because I always have leftovers. I order an extra rice to make a second meal out of it and it never disappoints. The space is modest which makes it feel like a hidden gem. 10/10 will keep going here.“
