“We are BBQ folks. We smoke our own and have traveled the country trying different spots. There is so much that goes into BBQ. For those of us who truly love it; it's an art form and science of cuts, color, bark, brine -- the whole deal. We've experienced much of the local (Southern California) flavor and have found a few spots that excel. We moved up to Pasadena recently and were Yelping to see if there was a BBQ spot up here that we could try. When we came upon Mission I was skeptical. It didn't make sense that a BBQ spot would do catering and weekend farmer's market stuff. The only way to see if the reviews were legit was to give it a shot. We found the location at the farmer's market tucked away and because we were late in the day, had to pick from the meats that were left. Ribs, brisket, mac & cheese -- and the two sauces they stocked (mild & spicy). Our order was bundled and we brought it home and launched into the meal. Brisket -- soft, moist, flavorful. Brisket is not easy to cook. It can get dry and -- sometimes greasy from the fat. This was none of that. It was excellent -- some of the best ever. 5/5!!! Ribs -- very good. Solid. My personal perfect-preference is ribs that are just a touch less moist -- but we are talking the difference between 98/100 or 94/100. They were solid. Great flavor. Mac & Cheese. Excellent. Texture, color, flavor, taste -- all outstanding. 5/5!!! Sauce. We had a cup of each of their offerings: spicy and mild. Each had a lovely smokey flavor. The spicy had a nice kick without blowing the back out of your throat. Again -- this is a little nitpicky, but we find the perfect sauce to be a touch less sticky. We've had great first meals and horrible second meals at certain spots and horrible first meals and great second meals. We like to try the food several times before writing reviews so we ordered again for another experience. This time we added baked beans, burnt ends, and smoked chicken to the meal. Second time was exactly as great as the first time. Everything was solid, solid, solid. Now -- the thing that gives Mission six-stars is the folks behind the food. These people are dedicated to making a contribution to the world through food as few are. They are kind, generous, dedicated -- truly amazing!!!! Judith and her family are the kind of folks I want to invite over to have the food we just bought from them!!! Wonderful, wonderful people!! Thank you so much Mission!!!! We are dedicated fans and followers for as long as you make food!!!“

“I got married in April 2022 (after years of postponements!) and I can't rave enough about Gourmet A Go Go, Gail, and her amazing team. We had cold apps, passed apps, plated salad, buffet dinner, and an assortment of desserts - it all could not have been tastier or more beautifully arranged. On top of that, Gail was so easy to reach and such a nice person to work with. I highly recommend her for any catering needs you may have!“

Thought it was sketchy buying corn from a man in the middle of the night. Turned out to be a life changing experience. 5/7 Corn was as sweet as the dream I had that night. Would buy corn from sketchy man again.“

“This company has been so responsive since the very first time I emailed them to request a quote! I cannot tell you what peace of mind that gave me and planning my husband’s birthday party. They are so amazing! Benito arrived early and had the food ready at five minutes before the start time for dinner. He was amazing! He was friendly and greeted all the guests. At the end of the evening he carefully packed up all of the food that was left and brought it inside. All of my guests were super impressed with the food! (The Pastor and Carnitas were my personal favorites). All of the food was excellent and the ingredients tasted fresh. The meat they had was seriously the best meat that I’ve had from a taco stand in a long time. I went with the traditional five meats, and paid extra and got Carnitas and jumbo lime shrimp. The price was great and the quality was even better! I will definitely be using them again anytime I need a catering. This was for my husband‘s birthday party and we had about 45 guests and I had tons of food left over and everybody ate a lot at the party.“

“We had THE most excellent experience with Marbled LA for a large scale event at the Forum. It was a new experience for us having to feed so many crew members, working around union scheduling requirements, etc - and Tro & his team were just fantastic along the way! Super flexible and accommodating when we had last minute adjustments. The spread they put out for staff each day was fantastic... well-rounded meals, a huge assortment of snacks & drinks and more! We will absolutely be calling them again!“

“The place is luxurious, and it has an outdoor space Excellent for cocktail hour. The indoor hall area is beautifully decorated. The food was delicious with a great variety. We have attended 2 different weddings from 2 different cultures in this place, and both times the quality of the food and service were consistent.“

I am kind of upset because first of all, they don’t take card at all locations. And second of all, his prices are too much. $7.00 for a small container? I mean, maybe like $5. The tahini bread, however, was very good. It is very cheap so I can see why the quality compared to the price gives this place high ratings.“

“The service was VERY friendly. My server, and several others, greeted me with genuine smiles. Started with Warak Enab Dolma/Sarma (stuffed grape leaves), which were excellent. They are the non-vinegar type which I much prefer, firm with plenty of rich olive oil. Then the Sea Bass entrée. Two full filets traditionally seasoned, a large salad, and potatoes. The tomatoes are perfect! Beautiful tea service. Very quaint atmosphere, friendly staff with genuine smiles, everything well presented. Will definitely be back. “We hired Angelenos for a private event that served over 100 pizzas in a 2 hour window. The Angelenos team came totally prepared to serve the masses and did not keep any orders waiting. The pizza was delicious and their personal pies are the perfect size to feed someone who was really hungry or take some home for later! I aim to use them again for my next event.“

“We booked El Churro Man for our wedding reception. They have a person making freshly fried churro & serving to our guests right outside the truck. Their churro were so light & crispy with plenty dipping sauce choices. Our guests raved over this late night treat. If you're looking to really surprise your guests on wedding or next event, we highly recommend this churro truck!“

“I found heirloom LA when they catered a function at my hospital. I was so impressed. I had them cater my 60th birthday just this past weekend and they are really wonderful to work with. They’re super friendly, help me a lot in the planning and the execution they connected me to the right people for doing the furniture for the party for servers and then the food was just completely completely amazing Euler menu great quality of food, vegetables, fruits. I did a full vegan menu and they were really, great about doing that with a really complex interesting menu with very taste and textures. I would definitely only use them for any future events that I do. I completely highly recommend them without reservation.

I highly recommend the pumpkin guacamole. The banana bread was gobbled up in three seconds and the juices were fantastic. This is not exclude every other item that I ordered that was fantastic fruit plate veggie plate vegan burritos make your own avocado toast was unbelievable. I could go on and on and on .“

The permanent red carpet is such a brilliant idea to glam up any event. However, when you are approaching this venue, the street looks a bit sketchy. But once you pull into the small street, you’ll see that it is in an enclave of Los Angeles.

“Great food!

I got the schnitzel plate and it was a very generous portion (more on the pricey side but you do get a lot). I picked my side and got the rice, that was good. You also get a pita.
I really like the meat, the hummus was great. Overall, it was great.

We also got some fries and the mushrooms. The fries unfortunately were a bit soggy but that’s to be expected when ordering - if you don’t eat right away - but still tasty.
The mushrooms - there could be mixed feelings but I love seasoned mushrooms and they had a great one! Very interesting, but I really liked it!“
