“Excellent food and service. The freshest fish, perfect presentation, and generous portions. Very affordable as well. A couple could easily share a sushi/sashimi dinner or an entree plus an appetizer. My only issue was the cheap disposable chopsticks but that's easily remedied. Will definitely go back and bring my own chop sticks 😁.“

“바삭바삭한 후라이드, 매콤한 양념치킨과 입맛을 확 당기는 간장치킨. 중학교 시절 나에게 첫 치느님의 문을 열어준 건 치킨데이였다. 치킨데이 왕자님의 인맥을 통해 가끔씩 공짜로 얻어먹던 닭들은 나에게 있어 얘기치 못한 즐거움, 마치 공원에 누워 네잎클로버를 찾는 행운이었다. 하지만 10년이 지난 지금 난 깨달았다. 치킨데이는 네잎클로버가 아니란걸. 한국에 와서 내노라하는 네네 스노윙, BHC 뿌링클, 굽네 고추바사삭 치킨을 먹어봐도 내 마음속 한 구석엔 늘 채워지지 않는 공허함이 자리잡고 있었다. 맛은 있지만 정이 없는, 뒷마당에서 키우던 강아지를 보신탕으로 먹으면 이런 맛이었을까? 그래서 이 리뷰를 통해 치킨데이에게 사과의 말을 전하고 싶다. 너가 최고라는 걸 깨닫기까지 10년이나 걸려서 미안하다고. 너는 행운의 네잎클로버가 아닌 항상 내 발밑에 자리잡고 있던 행복의 세잎클로버라고.“
“Misu was very friendly. I got to talk about S. KOREA with her which brought back memories. The baked goods are great! I had the rice juice and sesame seed roll (which is stuff with sweet bean paste. which brought me back. I was talking to Misu how Korean food is not the same here. She proved me wrong! Will definitely come again.“

“Came here with 4 adults and a child. We had just visited Descanso gardens on a cold afternoon. Soup sounded like a good plan and we were craving Korean. This place was less than 10 minutes away. We were seated right away and were offered cold barley tea (I believe) and hot tea. We ordered 2 soups, kalbi ribs, and pork cutlet. Banchan dishes were cabbage kimchi, radish, and fish cakes. My daughter devoured the fish cakes and we had to get more. The kimchi was so delicious. It was crunchy, a little spicy and sweet, and tasted so fresh. The server told us it was made fresh every day. When our first soup arrived (sullongtang) we got a little scared- the portion was huge! We didn't think we would be able to finish everything we ordered. The soup was so comforting and I liked that you get to chose how much salt you want to add to it. The slices of meat paired really good with the thin, rice noodles. The pork cutlet was a big portion as well. We ate it as an appetizer. The kalbi ribs were tender and tasty. You can never go wrong with this dish. The second soup we ordered (galbi tang) had clear noodles, ribs, and small egg ribbons. This was my favorite. Even though I was full, I finished the last big rib by myself. I just didn't have the heart to leave it and I felt silly taking one rib to go. Our meal was really memorable. The server kept checking on us and had such great table manners. She greeted us with a smile when we arrived, during service, and as we left. Such warm and inviting atmosphere. You have to try this Korean joint if you're in the area.“

“We are BBQ folks. We smoke our own and have traveled the country trying different spots. There is so much that goes into BBQ. For those of us who truly love it; it's an art form and science of cuts, color, bark, brine -- the whole deal. We've experienced much of the local (Southern California) flavor and have found a few spots that excel. We moved up to Pasadena recently and were Yelping to see if there was a BBQ spot up here that we could try. When we came upon Mission I was skeptical. It didn't make sense that a BBQ spot would do catering and weekend farmer's market stuff. The only way to see if the reviews were legit was to give it a shot. We found the location at the farmer's market tucked away and because we were late in the day, had to pick from the meats that were left. Ribs, brisket, mac & cheese -- and the two sauces they stocked (mild & spicy). Our order was bundled and we brought it home and launched into the meal. Brisket -- soft, moist, flavorful. Brisket is not easy to cook. It can get dry and -- sometimes greasy from the fat. This was none of that. It was excellent -- some of the best ever. 5/5!!! Ribs -- very good. Solid. My personal perfect-preference is ribs that are just a touch less moist -- but we are talking the difference between 98/100 or 94/100. They were solid. Great flavor. Mac & Cheese. Excellent. Texture, color, flavor, taste -- all outstanding. 5/5!!! Sauce. We had a cup of each of their offerings: spicy and mild. Each had a lovely smokey flavor. The spicy had a nice kick without blowing the back out of your throat. Again -- this is a little nitpicky, but we find the perfect sauce to be a touch less sticky. We've had great first meals and horrible second meals at certain spots and horrible first meals and great second meals. We like to try the food several times before writing reviews so we ordered again for another experience. This time we added baked beans, burnt ends, and smoked chicken to the meal. Second time was exactly as great as the first time. Everything was solid, solid, solid. Now -- the thing that gives Mission six-stars is the folks behind the food. These people are dedicated to making a contribution to the world through food as few are. They are kind, generous, dedicated -- truly amazing!!!! Judith and her family are the kind of folks I want to invite over to have the food we just bought from them!!! Wonderful, wonderful people!! Thank you so much Mission!!!! We are dedicated fans and followers for as long as you make food!!!“

“It was a fund raiser for my granddaughters' school. The place was full of moms and dads, friends, neighbors, softball members, younger siblings and grandparents. The pizza and salad were Delicious and as soon as the kids ate they played the arcade games and fed quarters into the toy machines to see what prizes they would get. It's well organized and has a quick turnaround -Order, Pay, Eat, Play. A fun place to get a great pizza.“

“Yummy pho and nice atmosphere. Super fast service and nice outdoor seating!! I came here after a competition. My friends got the nearby bbq chicken place, and I saw this pho place and turned out they had awesome pho. The service was super fast (hot steaming pho within ~5 minutes or less). Broth is tasteful. The only recommendation is I prefer a little bit more noodles. I feel really bad but they made an exception and still served me a table when my friends brought over the kbbq chicken.“

“I used to come here about once a month for the fine food and fancy atmosphere. I used to love the steaks and salads and the several rooms with tables. It was a well known place all my life living up here in the foothills. But alas, good things never last. I went to eat a nice meal with my elderly mom and I ordered my usual even though they had changed the rules so you have to order each thing separately I didn't care about that nor the higher prices. I waa just looking forward to a decent streak and veggies. Well when my steak was brought to the table with the vegetables.I noticed that not only was the steak full of so much fat.I could hardly get any meat but the vegetables were cold and after maybe five ten minutes, the waiter came back and I told him, please take this back to the chef and show him the amount of fat that is on this steak.I hardly got any meat at all.And the vegetables were cold when I got them. He came back from the chef and said, well, he's gonna comp.The vegetables, but you're gonna have to pay for your steak. I was furious that they would serve a poor quality of steak and charge a price as if were high quality. I literally had to fight the gristle to get a few measly pieces of steak. It wasn't the money. I was angry that the quality of the meat is was so bad at one of my regular steak places. It made me so mad I stopped going there completely. I wish it were how it was before and am still agonizing over it. Just wanted to vent as the owner hopefully will read this and I beseech him to reach out and prove to me things have turned around. I miss the food and the nice rich atmosphere. If not I guess I will continue my trips to fogo de chat or the Smokehouse or Damon's.“
