“We’re visiting from Austin Tx and decided to try Philz, it was one of the best coffees we’ve had in a long time. The pastries were so delicious as well. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. I hope you all come to Austin someday🩷“

“I have to say that this location has some of the friendliest staff. The barista named Summer was so wonderful to have a chat with while she was making my drink. Not only did my pumpkin latte turn out awesome (and she made a really neat latte art pumpkin on top), but she was just so happy to be making it. The drink was great, but go here for the extra service. Hard to find at Starbucks these days. 5 stars.“

“I want to say yes and recommend them. But I can't because I have a subscription to their coffee but they sent me the wrong coffee. it's been about a week, I've call a few times, left two voice mail messages, I've emailed as well and I have not gotten any response at all. The coffee I bought and subscribed to is good, but I can't continue to do business with a company that won't respond to their customers to fix their mistakes.“

“My sister came along with me to San Diego for work from Irvine, and I give her the credit for finding this place. WOW! This place blew me away.
Our order:
🍵 two 20 oz matcha lattes - 10/10 thank you so much for putting the right amount of ice - not too much!! Our matcha lattes did not feel diluted at all. The additional $0.50 we paid for the extra 4 oz was well worth it.
🥣 Mediterranean bowl - 10/10, what a delicious combination of ingredients! I want to make this at home as a pick me up. It reminded me of the best parts of pesto pasta but without any pasta!
🌯 Soy Chorizo burrito - 10/10 we were told that the so Cal burrito is also a popular menu item. The personal preference of our cashier was the soy chorizo burrito and it did not fail!! The two are essentially the same except the type of meat (for the most part, so we’re told hahaha)
What drew us to this place has been the featuring of Parutea’s matcha. The matcha quality truly is amazing. It’s delicious.
The plating was crisp and clean - everything about the restaurant was seamlessly put together. It was a haven for good food and a way to start the morning peacefully! There’s a good number of people trickling in as soon as the restaurant opened.
The people here are kind, present, and respectful. I’m so grateful for you all.
They offer milk alternatives including pistachio milk! The food is cooked to just the right temperature where the flavors stand out because of the temperature at which the food is presented.
Next time - I can’t wait to try the pastries 😋
God bless you all!“

“This spot is definitely gorgeous for a coffee break. Awesome view and clearly a local student/staff favorite. They grilled our egg salad sandwich in the panini maker and the iced matcha latte was delicious. The crew here helpful And warm. Also very quick. I only wish there was more “bar style” seating for those who tend to linger for hours on their own instead of taking up a whole table. It’s been super crowded with no seating the last few months bc people tend to stay for hours working. Which I totally understand. But for a UCSD alum like me, I may just wanna sit for half an hour maybe an hour at most and often there is no seating. That’s my only suggestion. Add single person searing. But I’ll definitely be back and hope to come before a “rush”. The line can get very long. (I get it. I used to work in a cafe at the Price Center and it was crazy there). Also would Love if they stayed open later. One can only hope.“

“My wife is half Cuban on her mother side, and I can attest that this spot is the real deal. Not only is the ropa vieja was perfect! The Yuca fries were awesome, the empanadas were fantastic, and the black beans paired with everything. The rice was warm and buttery, and the service was so fast I was shocked the food was ready. Those place is a gem that you can’t miss if you enjoy Cuban food and atmosphere! My wife is a vegetarian and she got the veggie empanadas, and it was her favorite.“
“Ngl I thought price is expensive considering their 20oz iced latte is more expensive than Venti iced latte from Starbucks. I just gave it a shot anyway and it tasted GOOD. Kind of worried because their working speed doesn't seems to be good at working many people at the same time, but they do have good coffee.“

“Anyone who knows me, knows that I LIVE on air and a great cup of coffee.Today we visited Art of Espresso and honestly, it’s probably THE best blended coffee I’ve ever had - anywhere.I got the blended Java with a hint of chocolate so it was lightly sweet just how I like it.The location is actually ON the UCSD Campus and doesn’t advertise so you won’t find it otherwise.Plenty of outdoor tables and a great breeze from La Jolla shores.Privately owned and operated, it’s one of the best kept secrets in town!#espresso #familyowned #coffee #nikkiffrancis #commercialrealestate“
“The Che Cafe has been a staple of the UCSD campus, and the San Diego music community for decades now. I’ve been lucky to attend and perform at this beautiful venue located in La Jolla (just minutes away from La Jolla Shores) and must say there is no other place like it. The stage is as straight forward as they come, but they also setup bands outside in the courtyard to maintain a flow of non-stop music. I’d give it less stars because the parking issue has never, and will never be fixed, but the venue is worth the 5 stars alone. It’s thanks to them that many hardcore/indie/scramz bands are able to have amazing show in San Diego.“

“Friendly Barista & a Great listener ☕😁☕ 'Gino' I love the outdoorsy convenience of the coffee truck @ 4009 Park Blvd. corner of Lincoln & Park.“
“Carlos, the owner, was our host and was playing some very cool/hip music which we loved. He introduced himself and told us all about this new venture for him and his partner and wife. The smoothie I got was delicious (mango) and so was the one my wife got (coconut). Make sure to stop by and have some samples and then pick the one you like best. Que Dios Los bendiga! And why not…it’s JC….“

“We love the grounds, the Spanish California design of the buildings (probably a better name), the restaurants and bars, valet service, the room’s (refurbishment underway, but they’re still nice), and lastly the service levels from everyone. Oh, almost forgot, the pool area is also very enjoyable, and rarely overcrowded. We will be back.“

“I recently discovered a charming location for boba lovers like myself, and it turned out to be the perfect pit stop on our journey. The place boasts an impressive variety of flavors, aligning well with my dietary preferences. Opting for a dairy-free treat, I chose the piña colada flavor, which was nothing short of delightful - a sweet and creamy concoction that I highly recommend to anyone with a similar taste for tropical flavors.
The ambiance of the boba shop is equally appealing. It's spacious, filled with natural light, and maintained with meticulous cleanliness, creating a very inviting atmosphere. The overall vibe is relaxed and positive, making it a pleasant place to sit back and enjoy your drink.
Moreover, this spot is notably dog-friendly, much like most places in La Jolla, which makes it an ideal stop if you're out with your pet. For those seeking a refreshing start to the day or a healthy snack, this boba shop is a fantastic option, offering not just delectable boba but also an array of healthy food choices.“

“Their food was amazing! I had the panini vegano and I’ve been searching online how to make that eggplant tofu paste. Everything went so well in that sandwich! It also had olives, vegan feta, arugula and a hint of harissa (in the menu it said red bell pepper or something like that, but I believe they used harissa and it was the best!!). I can’t wait to go again and get the same and get other things haha. My partner and I also tried their pistachio croissant, which h was delicious! Their matcha was great, and the drinks highlight was their dirty chai. Everything was sooo good!“
