I enjoyed the self service coffee bar with a selection of some flavored coffee.
The seating is limited so it is not a great place for a large group.“

I got the pumpernickel with the Athena wrap. everything was so fresh and tasted good.

“We got a nova classic, which is a lox bagel sandwich, with works bagel and chive cream cheese and a wheat bagel with jelly.
I got an iced americano and my husband got a strawberry shortcake smoothie.

I really liked their nova classic as it wasn't salty and yummy. It is served with a pickle which is refreshing.
For the spread option, I wish there is butter & jelly option.

An iced americano tasted more like cold brew which I didn't mind.
The strawberry shortcake was yummy.

The owner is very welcoming and gives great recommendations.
The space was clean and there were enough parking spaces in the plaza.“

“Delicious, fresh, soft bagels! This place is a must try if you’re looking for fresh bagels. I come here all the time to get a half dozen. They have many flavors, Asiago, jalapeño, everything, garlic, sun dried tomato, sourdough, blueberry, wheat, poppy, coconut; and so many more. They also have tubs of cream cheese you can buy, I tried the chive & onion cream cheese and the Lox (smoked salmon) cream cheese, both SO good!
Once you try these, you can’t go back to store-bought bagels.“

“the coffee at this place is AMAZING you can tell they really care to make your drink well and aren’t using the basic syrups you can buy at the grocery store that every cafe seems to use these days. Although this place is TINY so not really a spot to expect to find a lot of seating if at all, the coffee is to die for. the organic milks and ingredients are delicious. i came here before a hot yoga class and was NOT disappointed. i’ll be coming back more often.“

“It’s definitely a local place since the staff know the majority of folks walking in the door, asking how are they doing? Their family, works, etc. it makes you warm and homey feeling. Easy parking and the place is clean and bright and spacious with both inside and outside seating. Plenty choices of bagels and morning cake (coffee cake). Plus variety of coffee and smoothies plus fresh squeezed juices. The bagel is soft and delish with great texture outside and toppings. “A friend of mine and I love to get bagels together every so often, so we decided to visit this place. This place has one of the best bagels that I have ever had! Their bagels are light yet larger than your typical grocery bagel, but you don't feel so dense by the end of eating one of their sandwiches. I got their egg, sausage, and cheese sandwich on a wheat bagel, and it was DELICIOUS! I also got an iced blended spiced chai which I HIGHLY recommend. Really recommend this place if you want a filling and delicious breakfast!“

I absolutely love everything about this place! The vibe and music always make you feel welcome the moment you walk in. The owners and staff are incredibly down-to-earth and greet everyone with genuine kindness.

Yes, the line can get long during peak hours, but just like anywhere that's popular, that's to be expected. I can honestly say the wait is always worth it...the bagels are amazing, and the coffee is consistently top-notch.

I've been coming here at least once a week since they opened, and they've never disappointed. Parking can vary depending on the time of day, but don't let that stop you. Take a short walk, and you'll be rewarded with a bomb coffee and, yes, THE BEST BAGELS IN TOWN!

“What a find. Mom and Pop shop with the best breakfast burritos I’ve had! Friendly, welcoming and with the true vibe of a small business that cares. The donuts were excellent as was the coffee. We ate in and regulars were filing in getting their morning coffee and breakfast. These places are hard to find close to big corporate giants like the Mouse. I had the chorizo breakfast burrito, a sour cream donut and cup of cafe con leche. Wife got a ham, egg and cheese burrito, sugar donut and cafe con leche. All excellent!“

“What a great hidden gem in Los Alamitos! I ordered an Americana bagel on jalapeño bread, a hot tea and an iced vanilla chai, everything was delicious. Plus they have ice nugget machine which I prefer instead of the big ice chunks for iced drinks!
The iced vanilla chai was SO good, much much better than its big corporation competitors. I will definitely come again. Both girls behind the counter were very kind and patient and gave me the WiFi password and gave me recommendations. They really made you feel at ease. What a delight to visit, I would certainly recommend this cafe to anyone looking for good prices, good food and yummy drinks!“

“I have been coming to Grounds Bakery & Cafe since the day they opened. They have some of the best fresh breads and pastries. Such a massive selection. My favorite are the sandwiches. Honestly the best tuna sandwich in the world. And literally, I mean the world- I have tried them everywhere. And their is not single place other then grounds that gets them right and perfect. “I got the donuts and Vietnamese coffee first. Both were delicious and the donuts were soft when we got them and even a day later. Still soft as if it were fresh. I got the croissant sandwich the second time and it was also excellent. The prices aren’t too bad either and it’s supporting a family owned business too. They were really friendly.“

“Well, its not THE best anymore, but I still like it. It is a bit pricey for what you get, which is fine if its quality. The iced latte was warm, the bagel was doughy & had just a little piece of soggy bacon. It has always been expensive for a bagel shop, but it use to be small & family operated. I was glad to see it expand, but now miss what it used to be. The drive through is convenient for me. Others complain about the cashless aspect which for me is not an issue… It will not be my go to for coffee & I hope they fix the bagel because the lunch sandwich looked good & I would like to try it sometime. 3.5 stars 🌟 for this location.“

But hear me out, I think I wanna say this is the best matcha oat milk and medium roast cold brew I’ve ever had (especially the cold brew, never really a fan) but it’s SO Good!! (Both my friend and I approve!!)

“Hot crullers at midnight, definitely not mid tier either - I’m not a connoisseur, but I’d drive an hour to go back for more. Nothing wrong with the atmosphere or the service. You want donuts, they put what you ask for in a box, you give them money, they give you the box. The donuts were great and I was sober. It wasn’t a holistic dining experience, but I’m not looking for that when it’s midnight I want to feel bad about my food choices. Would give them 10 stars if I could.“
