“I ordered a flat white like an hour ago.

In my opinion what makes this spot good is the type of coffee you get. Im no coffee expert but the taste you get is what I call "classic". That straight up coffee taste you know and love. Everywhere else I go tend to favor the more funky natural process coffees. I love a good funky espresso. But to find this flavor profile in a coffee shop around here, or in LA in general is pretty uncommon.

“This is a great bagel and coffee shop. I work in the complex and we all pick up food here often. The bagels and big, soft and fresh and they are almost always very generous with the cream cheese (which I really love).I also like their bagel sandwiches, the lattes - blended or hot - and the bagel bombs too. In all honesty, I haven’t had anything there I don’t like.Other bonus perks: a rewards program that lets you earn free items and a kid’s corner to keep the little ones entertained!

“We’re huge fans of Porto’s, and visiting the Buena Park location is always a must whenever we’re on the West Coast. While we often order online from them, there’s something extra special about experiencing it in person. No matter how many times we’ve been, it never gets old—it’s always a treat.

It can definitely get busy, with lines often stretching outside the door, but the staff has the process down to a science. Every visit we've made between 10 a.m. and noon, we've been lucky—only about a 5-minute wait before placing our order. They move fast, stay organized, and somehow still manage to be friendly and attentive the entire time.

When dining in, they hand you a pager to place on your table, and everything—drinks and food—gets brought right to you. They even come around to clear the tables when you're done, which makes the experience feel that much more relaxed and enjoyable.

This time around we had the Media Noche sandwich, Lechon platter, and plantain chips, plus a good selection of pastries—cheese rolls, guava and cheese strudels, and our personal favorite, the besitos. Everything was flavorful and fresh. The Media Noche was packed with perfectly balanced, melty goodness, the lechon was tender and well-seasoned, and the plantain chips were crispy and addictive.

To drink, we ordered an iced vanilla oat latte and an iced Americano—both of which paired perfectly with our meal and pastries.

If you’re anywhere near Buena Park, Porto’s is worth the detour. The food is consistently excellent, the service is quick and efficient, and there’s something for everyone on the menu. “The cookies are always great. The employees sometimes stand around and ignore customers that need help using the touchscreen order pad. I have witnessed older people walk in, not know how to use the touch screen device, and employees just watch them struggle. Other than that everything is great.“

I found this fabulous bakery and selected them, as I loved their story l, plus they have a 5 star rating. They were so amazing to work with and did exactly what they promised. They followed up quickly and even had it delivered to the hotel along with information and pictures on who they left it with for her birthday. Great service, communication, beautiful cupcakes and they loved them! Don’t hesitate to call them whether you are in town or out of town like us! Thank you!!!“

“Where do I even begin? We have always had nothing but the very best experience at Hapa! Friendly customer service, and high-quality treats! Their banana pudding and chocolate pudding are my absolute favorites! Like they are DANGEROUSLY good!! I may or may not hide them from my kids! I also love their new brownie edges!! My mom‘s favorite is their sprinkle cookies, to the extent that she will make a special trip to Hapa anytime she’s in town to get herself some! “If this is not the best banh mi in all of Sgv and Oc, I don’t know of any place that can beat them. All cash by the way so come prepared. Their dac biet is the perfect sandwich and their daikon and carrots are light and bouncy with fresh jalapeno with the right amount of pate and butter. They have it down to perfection, nothing less. Had an open house and served it for homebuyers and they were blown away! Highly recommend! Cafe sua da is gold too, loved the shaved ice in the coffee and not too sweet. The ladies in the back are super sweet and you can buy the baguettes and freeze them, then 350 f for 6 mins in toaster or airfryer. Get the egg rolls, and pa te so is good too. My clients loved their vegetarian banh mi too!

“The mini conchas are my favourite, I don't like conchas unless they're from this bakery. The polvorones, cinnamon raisin rolls, pink jelly coconut roll, and the mini cookies with sprinkles are my favourites here. The prices have been raised for the filled breads but it's better compared to other places. The place looks like it's kept clean and well maintained. The only bad thing about coming here are the homeless people asking for money all the time. + There's very limited parking sometimes it'll be empty and the next second it'll be full. The staff are super friendly and fast.“

“This was my first time coming to this bakery. What originally made me come was that they were open till 8pm. I ordered the cake on Wednesday and it was ready for me on Friday. Keep in mind they are CASH ONLY! They do require a deposit which was fine.The cake was moist and not overly sweet. Everyone at our party said how delicious the cake was. They did exactly what my child wanted ( soccer and Pokemon) for his birthday cake. He was very happy! I will definitely be ordering again!“

I visited in the morning for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. Their Croissant Sandwich was a great choice—crispy on the outside and filled with ham, cheese, egg, and lettuce, making for a satisfying and protein-rich meal.

For my drink, I tried the Black Sesame Latte, but it was a bit disappointing. The sesame powder didn’t dissolve well into the hot milk, and no one informed me that it needed stirring, which affected the overall taste.

There are plenty of seats, but a few downsides for those looking to work or study here:

No power sockets, which makes it inconvenient for long stays.

No WiFi, so it’s not the best place for remote work or studying.

Not dog-friendly—only service dogs are allowed, so pet owners should take note.

Sobok Sobok has potential, and with a few small improvements, it could be a fantastic go-to spot for both breakfast and dessert lovers.
