“I love their pizza here when they get it right, being consistent when people are spending their hard earned money is critical. Nice looking place with beautiful hanging lights. However, when the cats away, the mice will play. ? Staff can be a HUGE flip flop. “First time customer. We went on a Saturday night so it was very busy and the wait was about 35 minutes. We had their guacamole and it was one of the best I've ever had. I had the ceviche fish and shrimp tostsdas. A bit pricey, but overall very good food and atmosphere. I noticed a lot of people celebrated birthdays there.“

Also the raspberry margarita with the nosotros blanco tequila was amazing. “I read ownership changed. That may be true but the scrumptious food and great service have not! 30 minute wait on a Sunday at noon was worth it. Attentive non-harried server despite the place being packed, chile relleno breakfast plate, San Francisco burger with onion rings, Mickey Mouse pancake for the kiddo: all delivered steaming hot and so good we nearly licked our plates. Portions are large, so large no room for dessert but I heard the pies are delicious! Can’t go wrong eating here.“

I wandered into Colony Wine Merchant after walking 2 miles north during my recent trip out West for a concert. The staff there welcomed me with open arms and explained their concept. Colony Wine Merchant is a wine retailer, restaurant, and wine school. I settled in at the bar and watched regular after regular waltz in on a Friday night, escaping the unexpected drizzle that evening. Without a doubt, they were offered the flight of the week, or their usual wine as they reviewed the menu or waited for friends and family to join. I had a glass of white wine and ordered the marinated olives and the citrus & fennel salmon. Both were highly recommended by the staff. As I read my book and leisurely ate my dinner, I couldn't help but feel so at peace. The dimly lit dining area, beautiful artwork and free-flowing conversations felt like a cozy dream! I sat for hours and never felt any pressure to leave or order more. When it was time to check out, they dropped the most delicious piece of chocolate on my receipt and I happily went back to my room to sleep. I would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant for friends to catch up, a nice dinner date with a partner, or a cozy solo dinner! This was the perfect definition of a "girl dinner"!“

“I went back again to Cabo Taco before a show at La Mirada Theater. They were busy. But the service was still excellent a day the food was fresh and delicious. We had the Shrimp Tacos and the Sweet Pig street tacos.Service was excellent. The food was fresh and fast even though the restaurant was busy.“

“I had a wonderful experience at the Blind Rabbit. My wife and I loved sharing this little spontaneous outing. It's atmosphere and music make it feel like you're in the roaring 20's for sure. We loved the secret entrance door and our food was amazing. We had this corn chorizo appetizer, my wife had some fish and chips, and I had myself a salmon with some duck fat potatoes. Definitely the best potatoes I've ever had, my fish was cooked perfectly as well as my wife's fried fish and the corn chorizo appetizer was like a warm hug. Every once and awhile you'll find a meal that is so perfect that you can't find a complaint about it. As for the drinks I regret to say I was only able to try one but the "It Comes in Waves" rum cocktail was extremely delicious. I'm a sucker for rum, guess that's just the pirate in me haha. It's their take on the popular Zombie cocktail but definitely an improvement worth a try that's better than a regular Zombie. I wish I could have tried another drink but this was the first meal of the night for me as Sunday I usually sleep all day do to my work schedule and I haven't had much water that day but next time I plan to try more drinks from this wonderful secretive speakeasy bar. Lame excuse I know but I promise to leave another review for this ever changing menu. I look forward to my next visit to the Blind Rabbit.Special thanks to our waitress Georgina for serving us and making us feel special. She hustled and worked really hard that night and still gave us a 10 out of 10 service. She was super kind and super sweet as well as the awesome bartenders who were making dozens of drinks. They were fun to watch while we ate our meals.All in all this is a must do if you're ever at the Packing House. Make sure to get a reservation because seating is limited in this small but wonderful speakeasy bar. 10 out of 10 I would recommend. =)“

“Ever want to go back in time when times were simple? Joe's Jost is your spot. Not an overwhelming beer menu, CASH ONLY and a simple food menu. Now and days you don't come across a bar that still sells pickled eggs which is such a treat to have so don't knock it until you try and give to try it. Sandwiches don't like much but they are simple and satisfying. Billiards available and a lot of locals hanging out with plenty of seating available but do get busy.“

“Heard the bar had reopened so I stopped by on a Thursday night. Bar top was full, but I was able to find a seat. Trish was bartending and was great. Very nice and super attentive. Tap beers were some of the coldest in town. Jukebox was playing great music. Glad to see Ruby's reopened. I'll be back.“

“After going to the Garden Amp for a concert, a group of us were looking for a place to grab and drink and a bite to eat. We found this place on Yelp and so we decided to give it a try. This place is in a industrial but the wife and I like dives so we came in. Unfortunately, the owner let us know that the kitchen was closed so I went out to inform our group. We decided to have a drink anyways but when we walked in Paula met us at the door with that huge smile and said that they could offer us a limited. We quickly ordered 5 burgers and fries. BTW, the buns are made there at Henry's, that is a nice and rare move for a small dive bar, right? The beer offerings were pretty decent. I had a Blue Moon and my friends had Fuzzy... something or other. I was laughing and talking so I don't know exactly. My wife did get the Cardiff Cab Sauvignon that was pretty decent. What makes a great dive bar is the crowd and this place had a great group. The table next to us was serenading the room with both Bolero's and some great country hits. Their fun was infectious. “Visited Blvd Cocktails for the first time last night. My wife and I had a great time. The music was just right. The atmosphere was friendly and chill. They have weekly raffles. We bought $10 worth of tickets and won $50 at their 11:30 raffle drawing. Our bartender Alisa was awesome. She was welcoming, friendly, and made some great suggestions for our drinks. Alisa's friendly service is definitely a reason we will return for more drinks and to sample the menu.“

The machine was a little difficult to figure out besucase it was not in English but after trying for a while we figured it out. The main downside is that they don't serve alcohol nor do they allow you to bring it in. If they did, the review would be much higher.“

Keep your expectations in check as it is sort of a dive bar but, as they go, a pretty good one.“

“Cute little gem hidden in a random plaza in Buena Park! Hubbie and I were looking for a place to hang out after dropping off daughter to hang out for few hours. I like wine- he likes beer. We were so pleasantly surprised to find the place with a great selection of both! From the outside you wouldn't think much, but once inside, it is the most cozy and welcoming place. We chatted with the guy working there (can't remember his name but he was so friendly!), who told us that the owner likes to change up the drink menu monthly. They also have a shelf of board and trivia games to play, and host weekly trivia nights. We had a great cozy evening, and tried some excellent wine & beer for such a great price! The dipping sauce for it was super rich and flavorful, my favorite item from the menu thus far! I also got the bun bo hue, I wish the flavor was more spicer but the broth was still as good. There is a bit of wait as they tend to be super busy, so be patience as it is worth the wait trust me! Although, they may seem busy, the food still came out very quick. “This is my neighborhood bar. I could literally walk here. So I come quite often. Happy Hour is pretty good. Unfortunately, they don't have a kitchen onsite but you can bring your own food or order and have it delivered; which is pretty cool.They also have free pool tables and a juke box for your listening pleasure.My only gripe is there is one bar tender (shorter guy, with longer brown/black hair, and mustache) who has a bad attitude which can ruin your mood. Especially since he is providing a service and customer service is important. I usually don't stay long when he is working.“

Still, was fun to play bartender and get to try more beers than I typically would. You scan your ID and electronic form of payment with the cashier at the start. You receive a small device, think if a plastic bottle opener and a cigar cutter reproduced, and then off you go! Grab a glass, hope it's the right one for the style of sip you'll be selecting, make your choice, scan your device, and pour to your hearts content (and glassware's capacity)! Reconcile your tab at the counter where you scanned your ID. Such a unique concept and methodical way to save on labor costs and embrace the self-service way of consumerism.The beer assortment had some tasty choices, definitely will be back again to this Sweet Factory style brewery where you pay by the ounce!Beers were $0.59 per ounce, doing the math, a bit pricier for a standard pint, but a nice spin on the usual tasting house routine. Glassware was picked up often by the tending staff, makes sense if you're adding a tip at the close of your tab. Food truck rolled up in the evening (Fruti Di Mare) and it looked like a steady demand for lobster rolls, fish and chips, and other surf delights.“

“This place is a sunset beach staple. Been going here for 25 years - well before it was redone. Our band played there when we got out of high school, and back then it was pretty rowdy. Peanut shells on the ground, the bar was falling apart, and the jukebox had CDs.
