I can eat the fish tacos all day, but if you ever crave something else- the tacos dorados are also delicious- beans, requeson or potato- all so good! He’s there from early morning until late night and greets everyone with a smile and welcoming attitude. I am from San Diego and this restaurant reminds me of a lot of the Mexican restaurants down south. The food is very authentic and I love their salsa bar! The Cali burrito is delicious. The flavor was decent, but it felt more like a rice dish than a true carne asada burrito. On the other hand, my wife had the birria and genuinely enjoyed it. “The tacos were ginormous and basically meat explosions. The burrito, while scrumptious, was a tad meat-stingy. This place has tables and seating coming out of its ears for dine-in enthusiasts. And don't even get me started on the parking – it's like they're begging you to bring your entire crew. The price? Totally reasonable, not a single complaint. I'd swing by again in a heartbeat to try more menu goodies.“

“Came to have dinner here with my family for the first time, as we came in through the back door the first thing we smelled was the restroom it was a bit unpleasant. I noticed the restaurant was a bit rundown. Floors and walls were dirty, it almost made me second guess if we should stay, however we decided to give it a try and the food was actually pretty good for the most part. My only complaint as far as the food goes is that the beans in the tacos de canasta were really dry.

I hosted my mother's 80th birthday celebration at this aesthetically, beautiful restaurant about three weeks ago, and let me tell you our guests are still raving about it! This place is truly a hidden gem in Whittier.

From start to finish, everything was exceptional. The Oaxaca-style food was outstanding, rich in flavor and beautifully presented. The dessert was a definite hit with everyone, and the ambiance was exactly what we had envisioned-warm, inviting, and perfect for such a special occasion.

Xotchil, one of the owners, was an absolute pleasure to work with-professional, extremely accommodating, and incredibly responsive to every question and request I had. Her team-Liz, Ines, and Raul-were equally amazing: friendly, attentive, and very professional throughout the entire event.

We were also grateful that the owners allowed us to bring in a Mariachi band, a Dueto band, and even a photo booth to make the night even more memorable. It was truly a magical and heartfelt evening, and I couldn't be more thankful for how everything came together.

This milestone celebration meant so much to our family, and choosing this venue was one of the best decisions I made. Thank you to the entire team for your excellent service and for helping create such a beautiful and unforgettable memory for my mother and all of us!“

“This is a phenomenal, authentic old-school Mexican eatery bursting with flavor and priced right. You best believe the two ladies behind the counter know the meaning of auténtico. My tacos were cooked to order on homemade tortillas. I dressed mine up with some toppings from the salsa bar. When I sent a pic to my dad, he said “When they have radishes it’s usually a good bet.” He nailed it.

I went with birria and carne asada. The meat is juicy and tender, with the perfect blend of spices and seasoning. The aromas from the grill made my mouth water. The condiment bar is loaded with different cremas, a tangy salsa verde with charred peppers, radish, onion, and carrot.

This is an honest-to-goodness SoCal treasure and it’s only a few minutes from the Magic Park.“

I am very happy with the service. Now on to the food. The food tasted great and was very refreshing. I had a boss bowl with al pastor. They were able to chop everything up for me so I would have very minimal chewing. I'm glad I decided to try this place out for the first time. I missed eating delicious food. Looks like I found my go to place to eat when I get sick of this liquid diet.“
