“Was looking for some seafood dinner as we were in the area and found this gem. The service is good they are very attentive and nice. The food was amazing! I got the Branzino with black pepper sauce with rice berry, asparagus, and Japanese red cabbage and it was all well seasoned and cooked perfectly. My wife got the coconut shrimp and battered fish tacos which she also enjoyed. I will definitely come back in the future.“
“Ordered the Dynamite shrimp. Great flavor with large enough shrimp and good quantity. Came with white rice and cabbage. Added the avocado, I think it's a must.Location was clean, simple and staff was nice. Can't complain about anything. Would go back and try other meals.“

The staff are young and helpful. I really enjoy having lunch here. For dinner check the hour before visiting. I believe they close earlier than expected. “The chicken was . I have had such bad luck finding a good fried chicken place until now! I will be back for the chicken AND Chinese food. The fried rice and chowmein were also delicious. Very friendly staff and good customer service. I was there while a regular customer came by and the staff treated him like family! Pricey chicken but well worth it.“
“I really enjoy going to Johnny Shrimp Boat. It's such a great place to be! One of my favorite things there is definitely the beans with the gravy, they are just so delicious. I also appreciate the friendly and cheerful nature of the guy in the front, he always puts me in a good mood. Oh, and they even have succulents available for purchase at the front. It's definitely worth checking out, the food is simply awesome!“

“Yeah it's an English Pub but man can they turn into an Irish Pub when it's St.Payricks Day. We had a great time and even though you had to wait in line it went fast. Food was great with the traditional corn beef and cabbage and the corn beef was like butter to the fork. Amazing. And we also had fish and chips. That fish was crispy on the outside and a fat white portion of fish on the inside. And you know I had to put malt vinegar on it. The waiter suggested Guinness with a mixture of Framboise which is a raspberry Belgium beer I love. It worked great. This is my favorite quiet Lucky Baldwins and then if you want a higher energy head to Old Town Pasadena to that Lucky Baldwin. They both are great.“

The staff is really friendly and helpful, I asked if I can get a sample of the deal salt mango drink" and they gave me a sample. I got the battered fish & chips(they have 2 or 3) I got the full platter and it comes with a side of kaleslaw. New location: The only thing that disappointed me was the wait.. they did take a while to cook my food... but When I went I think they just opened this location, but it's okay I totally understand, no biggie or maybe it's just how long it takes to cook?? (I never been to California fish grill). Food overall: SOOOOO GOOD!! I didn't expect it to be really good just for fish and chips, even the kaleslaw has so many good flavors. “UPDATE 2024 what a disappointment menu changed. You can't order a salad and select your protein. You're forced to buy a plate if you don't like salmon for the salad. No more lime slaw. Asked for just seasoning salt got a bunch of liquid dressing on my salmon. Talapia undercooked. Clam chowder or should I say water soup. Had to wait for my plain salmon replacement while my side got cold bc I like to mix while eating. It's not just the location but also rosemead. We would come once or twice a week now I think I will avoid coming here.
