This amazing staff got up at 3 am to make sure the order was there and on time. Rave reviews were emailed to me about the quality and care of the delicious care packages given to each of those important caregivers at the hospital. First rate care and preparation. They earned my business and my respect. And support our local businesses. Just like hospitals we need diners and bakeries too! Job well done Crust and Crumble! Highly recommend.“

Today’s pilgrimage finds me in Sierra Madre at Syndicate, a fantastic find nestled comfortably downtown on Sierra Madre Blvd. Plenty of street parking and a beautiful place to take a stroll if you don’t score a spot immediately out front. The vibe is instantly welcoming, decor is colorfully minimalist, that’s probably not a thing, but it’s the best descriptor I have. The baristas are friendly, skilled and true devotees to all things coffee, even willing to share some potential sites to visit on the next LAtte stop. The coffee itself is excellent, rich, flavorful and no hint of bitterness. I went with oat milk this time and it paired perfectly with the blend, rich creamy, delicious! I can wholeheartedly recommend a visit should you find yourself in the area, or even if your not- expand your horizons and make it a destination, it’s worth it.“

What I love is how they roll them into these cone-like shapes, making it easy to eat without the mess of a flat crepe.

The menu has a good mix of options, from sweet classics like strawberries and cream or mango to savory ones like smoked salmon or chicken teriyaki. Food: I had ordered 3 food items and forgot to take a picture. It was the avocado toast and peanut butter & banana toast. And a chocolate croissant. Súper bomb! Would definitely order all 3 again.
Drinks: Tried their coffee fall flight…and wow! Genius. Hope it’s a year round option and can choose other options when seasonal drinks aren’t in.

Cinnamon rolls were yummy and I love the fact that the icing comes separate since I’m not the biggest fan of sugary icing. I tried a different dish, Pasta primavera and added grilled chicken. This was good and would recommend it. Their side salad was yummy, had all the good toppings and at the end, my family ordered peach pie and sadly they ran out! This is a seasonal item so they were very disappointed. But it just goes to show you that it’s popular and to reserve it once you get seated because my family actually called ahead and asked if it was available and it was but after we ate, they sold out!“

“Delicious and nicely-decorated Bundt cakes. They have a great assortment of flavors and many size choices. Their cakes are always moist and their cream cheese frosting is great. Their employees are always friendly and efficient. All their flavors are very good but I recommend the white chocolate raspberry and the confetti cakes.“

I ordered a matcha latte with almond milk, hot with a cold brew. The matcha was solid and had perfect flavor, temperature. A solid pick me up for sure and the cold brew was strong with a bold flavor.
