We waited a couple min thinking maybe they were seeing up inside or something but we saw no one thru the windows so we left. As we were pulling out of the parking lot we saw 2 employees walking up to the store. Not sure if they saw us waiting there or not but their car was parked right behind ours so it seems a little sus. We turned around to go back. Upon entering the 2 employees immediately looked annoyed, no greeting, no interaction of any sorts. Super unprofessional“

Parking: My girlfriend and I had the pleasure of visiting La Michoacana Ice Cream University, a Mexican ice cream shop. We were looking for snacks to take out for the movies and we were craving some esquites. And so I quickly searched one up and found this place. This is located in a plaza and they're right across from the Azusa Pacific University. And now I know why they named the shop as such. Finding parking is really easy, I had no trouble finding parking although it was at night. But I'm pretty sure during the day you can easily find parking there.Food Selection: We ordered two small esquites – for the uninitiated, esquites are Mexican snacks made with corn kernels, similar to elote but served warm in disposable cups, minus the cob. We also ordered a fruit bowl topped with chamoy and tajin. While everything was delicious, the standout was definitely the fruit bowl, with the chamoy and tajin. It was flavorful and filling. (I will attach pictures of the food for reference.)Ambiance: Stepping inside, the shop was very clean, creating a welcoming atmosphere. I noticed in the front of the shop that they have free Wi-Fi but it was password protected. So I'm assuming that you need to ask one of the staff for the password if you want to study there for a while.Staff and Service: Though I didn't catch our server/cashier's name, he was attentive and friendly throughout our visit. I really like the fact that before handling the food, he washed his hands before attending to us– a small yet crucial detail that deserves commendation.Recommendation: I highly recommend La Michoacana Ice Cream University for anyone seeking some delicious Mexican snacks and ice cream! As a first-timer at a La Michoacana establishment, I was thoroughly impressed and satisfied with the experience. Just know that the shop’s location in San Dimas is located not in an obvious place, but trust me … their ice cream is out of this world!! My advice? Give the store a call before heading over as the store has very limited hours, so as not to get disappointed.“
