“I love the food here and atmosphere, it is worth the wait! Classy establishment with delicious, quality dishes. The ube pancakes are something I've never tried before and they were the perfect amount of sweetness, you can taste the quality ingredients. It isn't just a pancake with sugary syrup like other restaurants. Their short rib plate was also amazing!“
“Was in the area for work and gave this place a try. Nice small dining area. Ten different types of fish to choose from. The large bowls here are 5 scoops of fish compared to the 3 or 4 scoops at other locations, however the fish scoops here are on the smaller side. Very simple and not many topping options. Would like to see more toppings. The fish tasted fresh and althought it was simple it was delicious. Was there around 1pm and it was non stop with customers coming in the door so it seems like a popular place. The price was very fair and was slightly cheaper than most other Poke locations. I enjoyed the food and would give it more visits when in the area.“
“I feel like I've found the golden egg! We are from Hawaii and a dish I been missing was meat Jun, Hana definitely hit the spot. We got take out and there was no bumps in the road, in and out. The meat Jun was tasty and not dry, it was a lot of bang for the buck. Can't wait to come back and try other dishes“
“This is a great place to have a weekend brunch. As the name suggests, they have lots of pancake options, all of which are far superior to the chain pancake place. They also have other great breakfast items, including omelets and breakfast burritos. For those otherwise inclined, they have plenty of lunch items and Hawai'ian themed food..The service is friendly and the food comes out quickly. My only little quibble is the inside dining area could stand to be bigger. They actually have more outdoor seating, although it is in some proximity to a major arterial street, so car noise is inevitable. It's very nice to sit out there, except during rain and when it is hot out.Parking: Being in a strip mall, there is plenty of parking, although much of it requires a little more walking as the spaces near the restaurant fill quickly. You won't encounter hordes of roaming cars looking for that one space.“
“After visiting dana point caves, I was craving for a poke, so we did a spontaneous poke run at this mom & pop shop in san juan capistrano which ended up being rly nice :) restaurant was located in a very quiet area so we were the only patrons (aka introvert heaven). We ordered the large which comes with 5 proteins, with an extra scoop of spicy tuna bc didn't realize the first scoop would be mixed in the poke haha. I love how avocados are included in all the toppings and not counted as "extra" lol I'm used to being very extra so it was nice not having to be. Everything tasted fresh and service was warm & friendly. So glad we made the visit on our way back home!“
“I love stacks. The first time I went to any of their locations was 11 years ago. I love that they've had enough success to expand more and more over the years and still maintain the same level of food throughout each location. I do wish they would go back to rotating their specials more frequently but I think that's probably harder to do with all of the locations they now have. My typical go to nowadays is the island chilaquiles.“
“I picked up a quick lunch here to go. I got the cooked salmon crab salad and a lot of different toppings. It was super simple and quick, there was only one person in front of me in line. The location itself is very clean, even with only one employee that I saw working there. My bowl was very tasty and I plan on coming again soon.“

“We were in the neighborhood from San Diego for our sons rugby game. Everyone was starving after the game. We are always up for trying a Hawaiian restaurant and their food sounded good. Our boys got the Chicken Katsu sandwich. They said the chicken could have used more seasoning, the fries were excellent and the macaroni salad was good. The Hapa Nachos with Kalua Pig were huge. Even though this was a starter I did not get an entree. Good thing because it was huge and soooo good. All 4 of us ate our fill and we still had an entire box to bring home. THE BEST NACHOS I HAVE EVER HAD! My husband had the Yokozuna Burger. It was also huge and had everything you could ever want on it, on it! It also came with a whole plate full of really good fries. No way you would ever come close to eating all the fries. We brought a box of those home as well. The burger did Yokozuna proud, the burger of a true champion! “So Good! First time here! Decided to try it. Everything is so fresh and yummy! i got the grilled salmon bowl with rice, kimchee, chimichurri sauce, Garlic aioli with a crab scoop on top! WOW is all i can say. Next time i will get the 1/2 n 1/2 rice and salad. the rice was so filling. The regular size is more than enough. I still have 1/2 left for dinner now. ;-)“
“This restaurant specializes is poki bowls (rice base with sushi). It’s kinda a build your own, with choices for rice, the sushi, and the toppings.The food is extraordinary, fresh, and very tasty. The rice is a bit underwhelming, but still very good.The location is a bit of a hole in the wall, with minimal parking, a liquor store next door (in case you really need that drink!), and a sign for “tattoos”. I’m not really sure if they do Tattoos here, but maybe? Or maybe it’s just an inside joke?This is the place you come to and order to go. While they do have tables in the parking lot, I’m not sure I want to eat next to running cars in a filthy parking lot…“

“10/9/23 Just driving around PCH, cruising and we stumbled upon this poke shop. We were casually looking for a place to grab some grub, poke sounds better than my initial idea (burgers).Went in & was instantly greeted by staff. It's the usual process, select size, your vase, your sides, veggies/add-ons, protein, sauces and toppings. Opted for a large, feeling hungry (I figured if I don't finish it, Hubby will). Half brown rice, half salad, 3 sides: mac, seaweed & crab salad. Protein (5), salmon, tuna, yellowtail, spicy tuna, scallop. Sauces: spicy mayo, sesame oil & shoyu. Toppings: furikake & sesame seeds. It was pretty hefty in weight but it didn't seem to be that much in portion size. I think it could've used more salad-probably because the greens were drenched with the sauce. Overall, the taste was pretty good. Service was fairly attentive. The place is tucked in a small strip mall. Somehow it did not give me the wow factor that would make me go out of my way to return but it fit the bill at this time. Price-wise, at par with some of the poke places I've visited. There's ample parking in the lot. Good poke bowl“
“Love it. I've been to a different location before and when I'm in the area I seek out Nalu's. It is a great casual spot for some good, fresh food. We got a Mahi plate, a panko ahí plate, and a kids chicken plate. The fish were both delicious and my kid devoured the chicken. I also love the mac salad. Will definitely be back to this or other locations. We went on a Friday afternoon and it wasn't crowded at all. Service was very fast.“
“Surprisingly good! I got the Chicken Katsu which was the best I have had in a while, it was very crispy and the chicken was not dry. I also got an additional order of a small macaroni salad which was very good. I also found the price to be reasonable for the amount of food you get. I’ve tried most of the poke spots in the Lake Forest area so I was hoping this would be my go-to. I’ve been here a long time ago and got a regular bowl, if I remember correctly.This time around I ordered a Monster Bowl for pickup. The 5 scoops of fish sold me. So, I ordered all salmon, avocado, seaweed salad, ginger, crab meat, white rice, cucumbers, and medium spicy sauce.It wasn’t long before my order was ready to be picked up. I hurried and grabbed my food and ate it when I got back to work.What did I think of it?- Monster Bowl: 5 small scoops of fish on what seems to be the same amount of rice you would get in a regular bowl. It tasted fresh and delicious though. It just looked identical in size to my coworker’s regular bowl that I picked up.Service was good, the staff is friendly.Parking spots are available here and there. It’s a business complex so there’s always cars parked here (at least during the weekdays).No indoor seating is available.Definitely a place worth trying, see if it “wows” you!“
