He is one of the kindest and most genuine people you could ever meet, and his warmth and hospitality make you feel completely welcome from the moment you arrive. It is rare to find a restaurant where both the food and the people leave such a lasting impression.

“Brunch with besties is already a treat, but here it's something really special. We had wonderful crepes, Turkish coffee, and it was my first time truing shakshuka. The atmosphere is soft and sumptuous, layered with rugs and sheepskin. The staff invited us to kick back and get cozy, and you can hardly help but relax and enjoy. Can't wait to come back!“

“The lemon potatoes are so simple yet delicious. The chicken skewers are always cooked perfectly. The seasonal watermelon salad is SO good, my only suggestion would be to add pistachios or something for crunch. I stop here for lunch quite a bit and the food and friendly service are always consistent. Ordering ahead and picking up is also super easy on their app, though when I’ve walked in they’ve been fast without sacrificing yummy.“

Every childhood event, you’d open the tray and there would be the pomegranate chicken and the yellow rice. Nothing better. “I don't remember how many times i've been here lol. Whenever I was too lazy to prepare lunch for myself, I usually bought gyro in this place and then went back to my lab/class. The price is affordable for Berkeley Standard (i remember it was around 12 usd before tax).

This place was also in UC berkeley north gate before, so it was close to my building. Then the one in north gate was closed. However I didn't mind to go back and forth from my lab to this place in southgate, my lazy ass didn't mind to go downhill then uphill lol.
And yeah, this place also offers halal food, so that's a plus“
