“Came here for drinks and appetizers. Amazing crispy catfish salad (so bright, balanced, savory, herbaceous) and the mak grut (keffir lime leaf) cocktail was one of the best cocktails I’ve ever tasted—complex, fragrant, refreshing and just delicious. As a person with Thai ancestry who is picky about his Thai food, I definitely recommend this place for a creative spin on Thai food that still respects the proper balance of flavor, at very least based on the two things I tasted!Great service and atmosphere as well. Can’t wait to come back and have a full meal.“
“Hole in the wall Thai restaurant. Traditional flavors that hit all the right notes. I've been to tons of Thai restaurants all over the United States and this place is by far one of the greatest of all time. Reasonably priced and dishes pack a huge punch. Don't let the decor or location fool you, this place is worth checking out. I've been here twice in the past 2 weeks lol. Servers are always nice and food comes out PIPING HOT. Pro tip, ask for dishes spicier if you can hang and ask for with the spice rack to add an extra kick!“
“Peanut sauce as usual was fantastic (with fresh vegetable rolls). Brussels sprouts were yummy. The only low point was the lamb chops. They were tiny and you only got 3 and they were charred. Everything else got hobbled up and the presentation, as usual, was stunning!“
“Just found this place recently, and been there two times afterward! It is absolutely on the top of our Thai places list. Have there Penang and green curries, crying tiger, short ribs, salmon on banana leaves, and few cocktails. Everything was delicious and artfully presented. Salmon was on point and ribs were so soft and flavorful. Craft cocktails were complex and added to the experience.“
“Visited this local Lao spot on a friend’s recommendation and wow, it didn’t disappoint! From the moment we walked in, the vibe was cozy and welcoming - exactly what you’d want from a neighborhood gem. The service was on point too; our server was super friendly, gave us great recommendations, and really knew their stuff. Now, let’s talk food because that’s the real star here. I went for the Pad Kee Mao, and it was absolutely delicious - spicy, flavorful, and just packed with all the good stuff. But the unexpected highlight? Their oysters! Affordable, fresh, and just so tasty, they were a total game-changer for me. It’s not often you find such quality at those prices.Overall, this place is a must-visit if you’re in the mood for some authentic Lao cuisine or just in search of a solid dining experience. Great food, great prices, and great service. I’ll definitely be back!“
“Such a great restaurant! The food is absolutely amazing and the staff are all super friendly, courteous and efficient! Hats off to the kitchen, the staff, and the chefs! Pipi & May are fantastic!!! I highly recommend this restaurant if you love Thai cuisine!!! 5 stars ? ? ? ? ?“
“The food was made Northern home-made style. It doesn't deviate so the menu is predictable but the quality was excellent and better than most in this area. Service is spectacular... I'm a child of a restaurant owner with high expectations! Crab fried rice had chunks of crab vs minced pieces. Salmon curry was full of crunchy vegetables and served 2. Fresh rolls, Thom Yum soup and calamari were all worth ordering.“
“On this cold atmospheric rainy day, I'm glad I scored a parking spot right outside otherwise I might given up on trying this place. I'm glad the parking gods were with me today. It gave me the chance to try their Thai beef boat noodle soup. Omg it was perfect. The broth was a flavorful deep sweet soy sauce based broth with earthy spice undertones. The thinly sliced beef was tender. The noodles were al dente with a nice chew. Perfection in a bite. They had cute condiments but I didn't need to use anything. It was super tasty as it is. Anytime I'm in Alameda I'll definitely stop by for some great Thai food. A cute sweet Thai family runs this place.“
“It's a welcome sight to see the original owners of the restaurant back! The husband is the waiter and the wife is the cook. I ordered the exotic herb salad and pad Thai. Both were authentic, flavorful, and simply delicious! It was takeout, so I didn't take photos.“
“Our lunches, both Mango salads, were vibrant & fresh, packed with flavor, three plump shrimp and beautifully presented with a gorgeous purple flower. Will be getting cravings for this again very soon and all summer long. We are so looking forward to trying all of their dishes, they all looked incredible as we were making our way out of this elegant restaurant. Be sure to put enough money in your meter before entering the restaurant ($2.50 per hour). The fine (it is a private lot) is hefty.“
“So delicious!!! My family loves thai food, and while this place may not look big or bustling on the outside, it is amazing. The indoor dining area is quant and small, so there may only be around 5 tables available. We were seated quickly, and the waiters were very kind. The food was absolutely wonderful. We are big fried rice lovers, and it did not disappoint. 100% worth a visit.“
“Located in one of San Ramon's strip malls, One House Bistro offers a blend of tasty cuisine and visually appealing ambiance. You can't tell from the outside, but once you walk in it's pleasantly surprising to see all the flower decorations The food is delicious and satisfying. The cocktails and mocktails were pretty looking and tasty. However, there was a hiccup upon arrival... despite having made reservations a week in advance, a table was not ready for us when we arrived on time. Nonetheless, the staff swiftly resolved the issue. We ordered vegetable egg rolls and tuna tower for appetizers. For mains we ordered grilled lamb chops, braised short ribs, pad see ew, kao soi, carbonara spaghetti and pad kee mao. For dessert, we ordered mango sticky rice and ice cream with caramelized banana. Everything was tasty and well plated. For drinks we ordered lycheetini, hot sake, hibiscus refresher, pink lady and empress cocktail. Everyone enjoyed their drinks. The straws came with a little cute decorative paper flower on top We were celebrating a birthday and they brought out candles lit in a small chandelier on top of ice cream. It was a sweet touch to an already memorable evening. Overall, while there was a minor setback in the beginning, the dining experience was enjoyable, making it a recommended spot.“
“Ordered lunch to go for three. Quick and courteous service. Excellent curries and pad Thai. A number of vegetarian options. The curried fish is incredible! Will definitely go again!Vegetarian options: A number of vegetarian dishes with vegetarian options on a few dishes, but not with the main curries.“
“Wawa Thai delivered a delightful dining experience with their take-out Pad Thai. The dish was well-executed, boasting a harmonious blend of flavors and fresh ingredients. The noodles were perfectly cooked, and the balance of sweet, sour, and savory elements was spot on. Portion size was generous, ensuring satisfaction with every bite. Wawa Thai certainly earns a recommendation for those craving authentic Thai cuisine.“
“The food is very good, as are the prices. Duck curry is excellent, although they could be a tiny bit more generous with the duck. A sense of authentic Thai cuisine and culture right down to the seasoning and herbal tea leaves.Vegetarian options: A few vegetarian options.Wheelchair accessibility: Door seems wide enough. No stairs. Some tables accessible from the doorway. It is a relatively small restaurant.“
“Our dining experience at Bangkok Garden last evening was nothing short of delightful. From the moment we stepped through the door, we were greeted by the warm smiles of the staff. They promptly escorted us to our table, where our orders were taken and served with remarkable efficiency. Accompanied by our two young children, who were exceptionally well-catered to, we indulged in a variety of dishes. The grilled chicken satay and the fresh spring rolls were the stars of the evening. It's certain that we will be returning for another memorable meal. Bangkok Garden comes highly recommended!“
“This place was so good! Some of the best yellow curry I have ever had. Full of flavor and super fresh. It’s a family run place and you can sense that with the quality of food and the level of service. If I wasn’t from out of town I’d be back in a heartbeat.“
“The appetizers, mains, and deserts are all top notch here. As a "farang" who worked in Thailand, in large part because of my love of the food and culture, I am picky about my Thai spots. This one hits all the high notes. They can make anything American spiciness, but can also do "ped maak" for those of us that love true Thai spiciness. meat and veg dishes are equally delicious. Presentation is artful and the service is tremendous with the sweetest staff around. Whether you do noodles, meats, or veggies for the main, don't miss the fried bananas and coconut ice cream desert!“
“This is a cozy little hole in the wall spot for authentic Laotian food. The food is consistent for dine-in and takeout and has great portions for the price. I'm always guaranteed leftovers.I suggest trying the namkhao, gaeng nor mai, and raw beef laab (if you like raw, but cooked beef is available as well).Everything about the place is great, besides the location. It's happens to be in a not so friendly looking location, but don't let that stop you from trying out their food. Get take out and you won't be disappointed.“
“This is my go-to for Thai. Regardless of what youre looking for the flavors here are near perfect. The restaurant is clean and the service is always great, fast and friendly. The selections on the menu are wide and everything is fresh and adequately seasoned. If you like your food on the spicy side dont forget to ask for their spice caddy to bring all the flavors together for the full experience. Recommended dishes would of course start with their shrimp fresh rolls, the lemongrass or ginger chicken, any of their curries, the pad eggplant if youre trying to be good and definitely try the duck or the crispy trout if youre not. Would I return? Any chance i get.“
“In a rough part of town but that's what takeout is for. You gotta try their Naem Khao Tod...legit thai food. You also know it's legit thai when you order it as mild and there's enough heat to make your nose think about sweating. That's my fair warning to folks who are used to "white girl spicy."“
“Super fresh, good for a variety of eaters with different appetites. Very happy with my clay pot veggies, steamed to just tender and well seasoned/sauced. Service was a little scattered, but it might have been a busier lunch shift than normal.“
“Plearn Thai Palace is very traditional this place with nice Thai food. They have their Singha beer, one can enjoy while eating spicy food. The restaurant is small in seating but seems to be popular for take outs.Vegetarian options: YesDietary restrictions: Food for allParking: Street parking or near the libraryWheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“We've been thinking about trying this restaurant for some time now, and I'm very glad we did. Our past Thai favorite, Champa Garden, seems to have gone downhill. Charm Thai Bistro, our new favorite, is much closer. We split an appetizer, the puff pastry turnovers, which we never had in Thailand. The waiter told us that they were street food. Whatever, they're delicious. Then we had a Pad Thai (very good) and a green curry. I thought it was perfect, but it was a little spicy for my husband, so if you prefer a milder spiced dish, tell the waiter. I can't wait to try their other curries and house specialties. I might even try the Black Sticky Rice Mango pudding, even though after having it in Thailand, it's always something of a disappointment in the U.S.“
“Very friendly service, good food, reasonable prices and a nice atmosphere. They do both Thai and Japanese menus including sushi and sashimi. Excellent value lunch deals during the week. I particularly like the yellow curry and orange peel chicken. My kids love the poke bowl.Vegetarian options: Most dishes are available with tofu in place of meat protein.“
“Great Thai restaurant. Wonderful atmosphere and service. Some of the dishes are outstanding. The Kha Moo was an excellent dish of Thai meets Chinese influence with meat that just melts in your mouth. The fresh spring rolls appetizer is not to be missed; delicious ingredients served with 2 well contrasting “
“This place is a go to, open pretty late good food and nice sized portions. The service is always good and fast. Usual orders are duck noodle soup or chicken pad see ew. Duck soup is never to oily and seasoned well.Pad see ew is flavorful with lots of chicken and veggies, not too sweet or saucy.Parking: Free parking lot in the shopping centerWheelchair accessibility: Accessible and welcome“
“We have been dining at Soi4 since it opened. Most recently we have been ordering takeout which is always good. We stopped in for dinner last night and found they had a fabulous happy hour menu. Extensive list of well balanced cocktails for $10, and small bites for $8. Everything was delicious and service and presentation were stellar. An enjoyable evening was had by all and we will definitely dine in more often!“
“Consistent, tasty, and super fast and friendly service. If you’re looking for the classics of Thai street food, you’ll find them here. Not avant garde, just everything as you’d expect - which is great. Mild is mild, spicy is spicy. Vegetarian options: Likely anything can be made vegetarian aside from fried chicken.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp into the main dining area.“
“I ordered a chicken pad kea mao (drunken noodles) and it was really good although… they gave me pork instead of chicken. And I didn’t know about that until they came over to the table with the plate that had chicken. Thankfully I am able to eat pork but… be careful if you are not— ask twice to make sure you get the right dish. Otherwise, they were very accommodating to our very large group.“
“Delicious food and great service. We ordered the Tom Kha soup, pumpkin curry and pad see ew. We were given large portions so nice for leftovers! The service was excellent very friendly and checking in on us periodically. We came before the dinner rush and loved having the space and staff attention.Vegetarian options: Most items you can choose your own protein including veggies or tofu“
“OMG! This is the first time me and my coworker have been here and damn are we super excited about this GEM! We came from across the street and it is such a game changer. Told my other coworker that we wanted Thai and she suggested we come here instead. She said it is a bit pricey, but says that the flavors are there compared to others she's tried around Concord (mind you our office moved from Alameda). She did not disappoint us at all and we ordered 3 lunch specials and half it within us. The best decision we ever made, when it came to not knowing what to eat and wanting to try it all - LOL! Satay chicken was really juicy and tender and the amount of flavor on here was really good. We also ate the curry noodles with chicken, chicken basil and sweet and sour chicken (not pictured because we ate it LOL and yes we order ALL chicken). I will say out of all 3 of these, the basil chicken and the curry combined together on my plate was honestly the best I've had. The basil chicken has thee perfect amount of spice added to it. It was like a perfect hot cheeto spice - LOL that's how I tell people how spicy things are. The Thai ice tea THOUGH, was the best I've ever had. The Thai tea was light and not super sweet at all. I don't usually drink Thai tea because every location is waaay too sweet for me, so I always pass on drinking it. But my coworker who directed us here said to try it and I am super happy that I did. I will literally only come here for the Thai tea - LOL. Don't get me wrong. I don't know what or how authentic Thai food should, but I will say this place has the same vibe and energy in their food that you would find in SF, over here. And I will tell you now, that we usually go to SF or a hole in the wall in Oakland just because everyone knows Contra Costa area doesn't have much options for Thai. But this place definitely has my support now.“
“Great spot to get wonderful Thai food. The ginger salad is a MUST try, palate cleansing salad with fresh ginger strips, crunchy veggies topped off with nuts & a sweet dressing. The pad thai (beef) is also amazing with a sweet & tangy taste.“
“Nice, located of Willow shopping center. Several eateries nearby including a drive in Starbucks. I looked around and decided to go for the Won Thai restaurant, ordered the lunch special, fried catfish with rice, on the plate I got a colorful plate with a scoop of steam rice next to pan fried filet of catfish with plenty of green beans, fresh tomato pieces, sautéed on a lite curry sauce and sliced purple and green cabbage garnish.“
“First time at Vanda Thai last night. Ordered green curry with tofu, chicken satay and fresh rolls. We chose two orders of fresh rolls, and each was HUGE. Big mistake, although they were quite good. We were almost full after finishing one of the two orders between us. No mint, which is a bummer. A little mint goes a long way. FRESH ingredients! The sauce was the same peanut sauce that came with the satay. It was good and appropriate, although we prefer a rice vinegar-based sauce. Next time, we'll go with one order of fresh rolls and split it between us. The green curry was delicious. A little too much salt for our taste, but it was not heavy handed and probably perfect for most customers. We're already planning for chicken instead of tofu on our next visit. The chicken satay was pretty standard, and had a little salt as well. Salt on satay is not necessary, but this was, again, not overpowering. Just a hint. Everything was FRESH, and prices are quite reasonable. Service was great.“
“This was our 3rd visit and it was excellent. Our prior visits were 1 excellent and the 2nd, just OK. We decided to give Chao Thai another try and we're still talking about the Tum Kak Gai that was exceptional. Our only disappointment (minor) was I ordered the chef's seafood special but received a chicken & green bean dish that, while unexpected, was great. Next time I'll order by number to avoid confusion. In case you're wondering the guest check was accurate for the food delivered. We'll be back“
“Such a cute and delicious spot! We ordered quite a few dishes and left stuffed and happy. The staff was super friendly and courteous. The catfish curry was definite favorite, especially paired with the white wine we had. I'll definitely be returning.“
“Really well made Thai comfort food, better than most appetizers, fast service, good proportions, to go containers keep food hot for the ride, a lot of different things to try, ive eaten here now about a dozen times, nice decor on holidays, I've been to Thailand and eaten with Thai people, and this is a close second I'm America. Best part if you want it spicy, they know how to give it to youVegetarian options: Had to get off meat while my teeth got fixed and was able to change every dish and appetizerDietary restrictions: Same thing, had teeth issues, ask for and received soft foodsParking: More than 20 spotsKid-friendliness: It's weird my kid orders nuggets and fries and fried rice and to my surprise everything was cooked so well, I began stealing his food and ordered my own fries once. Also they made a nicely simple fried rice, no spice and finely cut veggies, perfectly cooked, I eat his leftovers all the time, same with noodles and curries“
“I recently dined at Kacha Thai and I have to say, I was disappointed. While the service was friendly, the food was mediocre at best. I ordered the Green Curry with chicken and it lacked the depth of flavors that I was expecting. The portion size was also quite small for the price. The ambiance of the restaurant was also a letdown. The music was too loud and the lighting was too bright, making it difficult to have a conversation or feel relaxed. Additionally, the tables were too close together, making it feel cramped and crowded. On a positive note, the restaurant does offer a good selection of vegetarian options and the staff was accommodating to my dietary preferences. However, overall, I was unimpressed with my dining experience at Kacha Thai. I have had better Thai food at other restaurants for a similar price. In my opinion, there are better options out there for Thai cuisine.“
“I walked into a nice restaurant decorated in with Thai art, classy cocktail music, and a smiling white with a ponytail. He asked me what I wanted for a drink, so I asked for my favorite drink, Thai ice coffee. The delicious iced coffee came very quickly in a canning jar with handles. My order of three lunch specials was cooked and served very quickly. For most people, ordering one lunch special is enough, but I wanted to try their food in a big way. Only then can you experience the chef's cuisine. Also, I'm babysitting a cat here in Orinda for nine days, so I haven't wanted to cook if i can order enough to eat delicious leftovers. What a pleasant surprise, the food, atmosphere, and the three dishes, were quite fresh and delicious. The Pad Thai, which I ordered with chicken, was very nice, I had delicately seasoned noodles, shredded carrots, shredded cabbage, green onions, fried tofu, fried eggs, bean sprouts, and finely chopped peanuts. For an extra $2, you can get the egg roll and salad, but I already had those with the two other lunch specials. The #6 Peanut Prawns, which were deep fried in a light batter, came with peanut curry sauce over a bed of spinach in a bowl, served with slices of orange, a crunchy Noodle salad, rice and a fried vegetarian Thai egg roll. Delicious! The prawns were a decent size, and quite tasty. My last dish was #12, Garlic Pepper Calamari, with onions, zucchini, mushrooms, green onions, fried noodles, were served with the sliced oranges, plus a noodles salad with carrots, cucumber, red cabbage, and shredded iceberg lettuce, deep fried noodles, were crunchy and fresh with a light dressing. Overall, the food was quite superb, my mom lived in Bangkok for fourteen years, so I know how to appreciate Thai food. I will definitely come here again if I'm visiting the area again.“
“The food and service is excellent. They have vibrant art on the walls and jazz music playing for the perfect ambiance. It's also family owned; these folks are absolutely sweet and kind. And it's clean and bright and spacious. A must if you like Thai food and a close-knit community“
“I was in the mood for Thai so I ordered 11th Tiger for delivery- first time I've tried them. I have a favorite Thai dish - Kua Gai (or as it's called in Thailand, Guay Tiew Kua Gai). Its a noodle dish very similar to Pad See Ew. It's a very common street food in Thailand, but difficult to find in the US especially the West Coast. And most places that do have it, it's not that good. So I was pleasantly surprised to find in on 11th Tiger's menu. I got it with chicken which is traditional (Gai actually means chicken, so ordering any other protein isn't really accurate) - and was not disappointed. This was delicious and now that I know they have it, I'll for sure be a regular customer. I also got Cashew Nut Chicken which is my other go-to Thai dish and this one was just about right. Lots of Thai places carry this, and I wouldn't say it's the best I've had. But definitely good enough to satisfy the craving when I get it. It was a little pricey over Doordash, so I'll try in person next time. If you like Thai noodles, I highly recommend the Kua Gai. IMO better than the more well known dishes.“
“This is my favorite Thai restaurant in Danville! I lovvvve all of their dishes ! Excellent quality of fresh ingredients and delicious! I tried all the Thai restaurants in Danville , San Ramon, Dublin and this place is the place to be! The best!“
“This was my first time here and won't be my last. The yellow curry was so rich in flavor!I did not like how the Thai ice tea was served. I would have preferred a regular glass but it was creative I guess. The service was pretty good, nothing out of the ordinary. I would said to give this a try if you haven't already!Dietary restrictions: You can request for non-dairy Thai iced tea.“
“We love Pagargung Thai and have been coming here for almost 17 years. Their pad Thai is fantastic, the Pagarung prawns are the best item ever and their garlic pepper pork is a must. We've never been disappointed, and the price point is reasonable.“
“On my way home from church, I searched Yelp for Thai restaurants in the area. Yelp gps took me to this place and I'm glad to have found it. I was pleasantly surprised they offer lunch special on weekends - it was the best choice for me as I was dining alone. I got the lunch special plate of grilled chicken with peanut sauce over brown rice, veggies and salad. Such a generous delicious serving. I would have preferred the peanut sauce served on the side but I failed to ask. The tangy & sweet salad compliments the chicken with peanut sauce very well. Their Thai iced tea wasn't too sweet which is perfect. I got the fried banana with coconut ice cream for dessert. Bananas rolled in brown sugar served with a bit of honey. So crunchy! Perfect dessert for me as I love fried bananas! Ice cream was so creamy. Take note coconut ice cream doesn't have a strong taste, it's a bit bland if you're used to American ice cream. Serving is good for 2 or 3 people. The place is divided into two sections. It's nice and clean inside. Service is prompt and friendly. Very warm Asian ladies providing service with a smile. I'll be back!“
“Haven't been to Chai Thai Noodle for a while, way before the pandemic. Probably 5-6 years, sister said they have $5 happy hour noodles samplers (4 kinds of noodles- see photos for the specials).I suggested order 2 different bowls of noodles per person if you're hungry, that's only $10! The boat noodles were our favorites.“
“Good was YUMMY! I was eyeing the seared tuna salad... but that tuna tataki had the "main event" ingredients I was craving. Added a small green salad to create the effect I was looking for. Also had the soft shell crab. Two apps and a side made the perfect indulgent experience I was looking for.Plus my homie, the Rottweiler puppy, got to hang with me in the outdoor area too!“
“Wish I could give more stars!Third time being back . I am an Uber driver and enjoy my breaks here. I can’t get enough of their Tom Kha soup or pad Thai. Prices are good and huge portions. The quality and friendly waitress make me come back for more !! Love this place. Glad I found “
“Dropped in last night for a late dinner, 8:30 PM. I ordered a chicken dish off a new menu and it was the single best meal I have had in some time. Chicken, coconut, rice, cilantro and a wonderful bowl of broth.Cannot recall the name, Ro-Rhotem?They got beyond the usual noodles that so many people seem to love.Expand your horizons and come in for a visit. There is so much more to Thai cuisine and this is one place to get it.“
