DONT WALK RUNNNN here!!! All the spice variants are so accessible from mild to medium to spicy- There's also indian spicy (the hottest level) which I got, and it was PROPERLY spicy. This is fusion at its best! If you’re interested you won’t be disappointed! I think this is also a good place to bring someone in who’s never had Indian food.

“This was our first experience at Kahani. It was very very good. In reading the menu there were so many flavors going into the dishes, we had no idea what it would actually taste like. Plus, we were not very familiar with Indian food. We asked our waiter for recommendations. 1st the spinach fritter in yogurt. Fabulous!! Do not miss this. 2nd the stone fruit with beets. Amazing... the description doesn't do it justice. Lastly, sea bass. Very nice. Finished dinner off with Indian chai tea, which had the most enjoyable spices in it. Truly a great dinner. We will be back. .“

My daughter love their shahi paneer and palak paneer with Bhindi and I like their butter chicken to go. That is all happened very frequently up until last 2 weeks. “A solid option for buffet style Indian food. I wouldn’t say it’s the best in OC but it is decently priced and they have a fair amount of variety and dishes to choose from. What stood out to me most was the paneer curry and the tikka masala. Was not the biggest fan of the goat dish or the chili chicken. I liked the atmosphere in here though. Very clean and they had the Bollywood music on in the background which really helps set the mood lol.“

their buffet was STOCKED too, with salad and fresh fruit (watermelon), fresh crispy pakora and samosa, plain rice, biryani, tandoori chicken, all your sauces and raita, and at least 10 different curries including chicken tikka masala, goat curry, veggie korma, saag paneer, and so many more that I wish I could remember. they also have mango pudding and a delicious rice pudding and gulab jamun. they bring over baskets of fresh, hot garlicky naan that’s perfect crispy on the corners and soft and pillowing throughout, perfect for dragging through their delectable sauces. their curries were not too spicy (good for a pregnant palate!) but rich in flavor and full of delicious veggies and high quality meat. this was such a winner!! definitely adding this one to the regular roster.“

“One of the most sub standard experience! The food had all the same curry base, made from canned ingredients. The staff was unhelpful and did not care at all. The seating is narrow and cheap. The portion size of s horrible. The taste of the food is awe filling because it’s probably microwaved rather than cooked properly. Horrible experience. Stay away! There are better Indian restaurants.“

“This is a really amazing food place in the Irvine spectrum. The food was delicious, the prices were reasonable, The young lady working the counter was delightful – we definitely will be back here every time we hit the spectrum highly recommend.
