“I've been following Jun, the owner, for over twenty years now, and I’m so happy to see them settle into their new spot at White Oak and Sherman Way. It's super convenient, especially with the Korean market right next door.

There are so many sushi places in Los Angeles, but what sets Bar Uerukamu apart is their amazing appetizers and creative drinks. It’s a great spot even for friends who don’t drink straight shochu or aren't big on sushi. Their appetizers are truly unique—not your typical fried gyoza or teriyaki chicken. You can tell there's originality and thought put into the menu. Also all the stuffs are very friendly,sweet and attentive!!“

“You can always expect to have a fabulous time at Haidilao. While this chain can be more expensive than normal for hot pot, you will always know what you're getting when dining at Haidilao - high-quality, consistent, and above-average hot pot. It's like the Din Tai Fung of hot pot, and most folks would tend to agree. It's beloved for good reason.

I would suggest going with a large group, as you'll have the opportunity to try more dishes than you normally would if you had gone with a smaller group of 2 or so. Plus, it's always more fun in a larger group, in my opinion. Additionally, I definitely recommend being careful not to over-order, as it happens more often than not. Remember: You can always order more later!

I've been to Haidilao twice now and I definitely would add this to my roster of easy, group-friendly dinner ideas if you're looking for soup during a cold winter night (or any night, for that matter).

“Beautiful decor, very spacious, and easy to find. Delicious food that just happens to be vegan, and the service is decent but a tad bit slow when busy. Brunch is fantastic, and the drinks hit HARD. I recommend the hummus, mushroom calamari, burrito, and the country breakfast.

Recommend parking at the library down the street.“

“My absolute new favorite restaurant! We were visiting family in LA from Chicago and they took us here, I ended up going three times in my one week visit. Cheese stuffed zaatar and the sojouk kachopuri were my favorite and the garlic chicken wrap was my husbands. Honestly everything we had was delicious and the kids kept asking for the pepperoni pizza and mini pizzas.“

“Easily the best vegan ramen I’ve ever had. It has a really rich, savory broth, which is a nice change of pace since vegan broth is usually a watered down afterthought at most places. It comes fully loaded with mushrooms and hashbrowns (??!?) but you can add additional veggies or an egg if youre feeling it. Very simple menu but they execution is 1000/10!“

“Went here on a Sunday afternoon (LSOB). Parking is not easy to find on Fairfax, so you'll have to go to the residential areas.

Was greeted by the people working there. I ordered a Spicy BBQ Bacon burger with fries on the side. Food was brought pretty quick. The flavoring and quality of the burger was amazing! The BBQ sauce didn't have a kick to it, but a peppered, smokey taste that was so good. The meat was cooked to perfection with the juices of the meat blending with the sauces. The bread was nicely buttered, toasty and soft. The fries weren't anything special, but that's okay. The burger more than made up for it.

Overall, the burger was top notch. The music was vibing. The place needs a little touch up and cleaning. Otherwise, I highly recommend coming here!“

“I am vegan. When my family lived in North Hollywood Leonor's was my go to restaurant. It was one of the few restaurants that my entire family would frequent. We used to eat there before it was Leonor's (we are talking 1970s). I think in 1980s Leonor became the owner... I don't know who owns it now... if it is someone in the family or not.. however, the food is great. I miss it. It's been a while. When this heatwave in Los Angeles cools off I will go and order lunch... Hopefully I recognize a face or two.“

The portions are generous, offering excellent value for the price. My two kids love the beef lule kebab plate—it’s big enough for them to share, with leftovers to spare. As someone who eats mostly vegan, I really appreciate the variety of plant-based options. I’ve tried the falafel plate, falafel wrap, veggie wrap, and several appetizers—all have been flavorful and satisfying. Highly recommend!“

“This place deserves 10 stars I could not take pictures of the food because I inhaled the food. I got 3 shawarma and finished in less than 5 minutes and almost ate my finger with it it was so good. “I’ve tried lots of ramen before and by far this is one of the best broths I’ve tasted. It was so creamy and full of flavor. I got the red miso ramen and it was great. The other ramens were also full of flavor and doesn’t have a water downed flavor. The staff was so freindly and nice. It gives a very personal and homey feel. Everything was nice and clean including the bathroom! They also give these free puff deserts that are filled with strawberry creme and it was a phenomenal ending. One of the staff even gave us free pocky’s as a small new year festivities.
This is definitely a lowkey, hidden spot that’s worth a try. Would recommend the ramen any day. I will be going back!“
