“This is my favorite vegan Mexican spot. They have the best food and it’s fairly affordable considering it’s vegan. I always get the Al Pastor burrito, cause it’s packed with flavor. They have other amazing items, but I tend to stick with my go to option that I listed. Overall, I am never disappointed when I go here, cause for the price the burritos are huge.“

“First time going. Went for a late lunch. Staff was very friendly & the food came out fast. This has an elevated or more modern vibe compared to other "traditional" Mexican restaurants with familiar menu items (tacos, chips&guac, street corn) but several premium items (tomahawk steak, lobster bomba rice) or unique options (jimca salad, shrimp chile) as well. I like the small plates and tacos but also appreciate the large plates for dinner. They also have mocktails which are fantastic- we had spicy passionfruit. Wel will ne neck amd the atmosphere is lively from watching sports to a date night.“

“Xochipili is delicious. We had Three taco fiestas (I had potato, carne asada, fish, and chicken tinga) and all were fresh , hot, flavorful, and delicious. The corn tortillas are also fresh and taste homemade. We also had the chicken taquitos which were hot, crispy, and flavorful. The decor is cute and feels very Mexican village authentic. “Vegan lasagna was extremely hot, very fat and quite liquid - I’ve left 1/3 of the dish as it was just sauce. My non-vegan partner was upset. I’ve asked for piece of bread to put this sauce on top and got a think slice of back side ‘cabbata’ - tasted glutenfree (I’m not) full soaked in vegan butter … meh.Vegan cakes are great and the fire place outdoor seating.Proper food is a no. “An absolute gem in Burbank! I was craving cafe de olla and chilaquiles, so my husband and I initially tried the restaurant down the street which has blown up on social media in recent years. With an hour and a half wait we headed over to Mex Cocina, and I'm SO glad we did! We have found a delicious spot in our new neighborhood and the staff made us feel right at home in a cozy environment. We'll definitely be returning with the whole family“

“This is a restaurant which is as noisy as it should be. It always seems like the neighborhood is all here and they're having a great time. And why not? “Stopped by to get some late tacos. Pleasantly greeted by a very nice family, father, mother, sons and their daughter. Not only are they a very charming family, the food is great. So far I tried, Tacos de asada, al pastor and cabeza. Mulitas de asada, al pastor, vampiro de asada and a vampiro in a mulita de asada. “Super cute restaurant good luck finding parking though. I was lucky and got there as someone was leaving. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is very comfortable. We got the tacos al pastor and they were delicious, so much flavor. The enchiladas were delicious too, I just didn’t really like the rice but I’m picky with Mexican rice. “Oh man, what do I say about this place that other reviewers haven't said it already? Anyway, went to Cabo a couple weeks ago and the tour guide recommended a Mariscos restaurant right next to the beach. I thought nothing of it as I've been to many other type of restaurants here in LA. All restaurants are the same, blah blah. I was completely blown away by the aguachile and I knew I needed to find something similar here. I loved it at Cabo because, the shrimp was 'raw' marinated with lime but still 'raw' I tried Vallarta and it was a huge disappointment. One day doom scrolling on Yelp and I found this place. Couldn't wait, had to give it a try and I nearly cried. Whenever food tastes amazing, I always clap because I'm applauding the chef. I'm applauding the food and I couldn't clap this time because I didn't want to put down the food. I got the medium sized aguachile, a pescado taco and a camaron taco. The flavor in the shrimp taco was unbelievable. The batter was so soft yet, crispy and the cabbage with the dressing was spot on! Next time, I'm definitely ordering 2 of each. The fish taco was super flaky, seasoned. Amazing. The aguachile, I regret getting the medium, I should've went all the way to large. Extra large if I could. Don't get me wrong, the portions are huge. I'm by myself and I made the aguachile last for 3 days. I would've eaten it in one sitting but, I have jaw issues and I couldn't continue. The tostadas they provided was amazing. I'm said there was no avocado but, luckily I had some at home. Even tho the shrimp was raw, it was juicy and delicious. The service was amazing as well. Workers inside the truck were so nice, offered a chair under a tree because it was sprinkling lightly lol. Anyways, I'm gonna go back this week and next week cause I can't stop thinking about it. Parking is limited, but we found some nearby at a strip center. 4/5 - Complimentary Tostadas: Served with pico de gallo, salsa and bean dip. Really good. 4/5 - Horchata 4/5 - Eggs, Beans & Carne Asada: My husband requested this (since it's not on the menu) and they made it for him. He was very happy. 2/5 - Beef Machaca: The beans and rice and tostada were really good. I didn't love the machaca though. The food came out to 3.5 stars. Service was friendly and attentive, so I will bump it up to 4 stars. I think this is probably a good lunch / dinner location.“
