The cheese bread was awesome and they gave us a Cheese Danish to try with some coffee ☕️ we called at closing time but they stayed open for us!! Great people!!! Will definitely come back again!“

“I found Taste of Home Cakes and cup cakes by pure chance. I was looking for a very specific cake to compliment my sister's baby shower theme. She was having a Frieda Kahlua baby theme. Armen was professional and extremely helpful. The cake was not only stunning but moist and delicious. All of our guest could not stop raving about the cake. I have found a favorite bakery for every special occasion and can not recommend them enough!“

“The cookies are hit or miss most of the time. However, the staff here is always ( well almost) so friendly and kind. I don’t visit as much as I’d like because it’s cost prohibitive. And well id most likely gain too much weight if I enjoyed these more often.“

“Noticed the shop driving by, we've never been in one so Hubs and I decided to stop and go in. Nice to have a close place other than the bakery in the grocery store, to get a special cake. We tried the white chocolate raspberry mini cake. First time and cannot say enough ... absolutely heaven! Best cake I've ever had in my life. If you want a very special treat, this is it! “I’ve been wanting to try NBC for along time, recently moved to Santee and this location is very close to my house. I tried a few of their cakes. The red velevet is very good and moist. The carrot one is a little dry and have a giant hole in the middle. I personally love carrot cake but i’d not get it again here. The biscoff and new marble are soo goood! I wish i could choc opt for the balls though. It’s not that bad but i’m not a fan.

I also wish that they have Less icing option available. I love cheesecake icing but it gets overwhelm when it’s too much.

“Hit up the New Nutmeg on Danielson Street in Poway. I heard their Scripps location closed because the landlord raised the rent so high it was unaffordable for them to stay there. We were a large group so we were able to order a bunch of menu items. There was a line but its a very popular place so we were not surprised. We started with some espresso drinks, and agua frescas. We had the Hearty Bowl, Avocado Toast, and Amazing Burrito. Some in our group had the new Grandpa's Breakfast Bun with the egg and spam, and the Porky. They are very flexible with special orders including one in our group who is gluten sensitive. We finished, sharing their in-house baked pastries (they have gluten-free pastries); the warmed espresso scones and cinnamon buns (don't ever leave without having the "buns"). I work in the area so Nutmeg is now my go-to for breakfast before work, or lunch. Its also located nearby Costco and Home Depot, convenient for a weekend meal before or after my weekly Costco runs.“

Favorites so far; Rosemary olive oil sandwich bread, garlic parm dinner rolls, ANY of their stuffed croissants, and I'm obsessed with their triple chocolate cookies (not overwhelming and perfectly crunchy).
This place is Cash Only with some rotating stock, so it's worth checking in every week. I plan to remain a regular.“

“I contacted The Cupcake Store for a special order and they were so willingly to accommodate me. They were absolutely fantastic. My son who has been all over the world tasting different desserts said these were some of the best cupcakes he had ever tasted. They were a hit with everyone at the birthday dinner and I have already told all my friends about the bakery. They were fantastic the flavor profile and moistness was done to perfection.
