“Small poke shop that packs a big punch. The poke selections and flavors are amazing. I got myself the California Roll and Hot Chili Peppah with white rice and cucumbers. For a plate, you can get two poke flavors and two sides. The CA Roll was creamy and flavorful. It has big chunks of avocado and an adequate amount of imitation crab. It definitely has lots of tuna. The Hot Chili Peppah was great. I think it is Shoyu based with some spice. It's not spicy at all. It just has the essence of Peppah ?!The rice to fish ratio is perfect for me! I like having more fish than rice. Also the workers are chill. Since this is in Redondo Beach, I feel like they are surfers ? but they're all great and very patient.I am so ready to come back!“
“This is one of the local favorites for Hawaiian food. Hearty authentic tasty food, clean and informal setting, and excellent service (the waitress refilled my coffee 5 times!).Tip: if you don’t mind Kim chi, definitely pick the Kim chi as the fried rice option. Could be a little on the salty side but definitely tasty!Tip: I also asked for a side of gravy for my breakfast plate, the kindly provide for free! I couldn’t finish and they gave an extra small cup of it for me to take. The service is really outstanding.“
“So I have to admit this was my second time going so I figured this was a time to do a review. First off I want to say the food is definitely worth the wait so that definitely is a plus now this being my second time I will say the first difference I noticed was in the portions mind you when I went the first time it was not busy we really did not have to wait long for our food at all but the second time we decided that we're going to go into the parking lot we're going to call our food and they gave us a 15 before our food will be done so we figured let's wait in the car because they had live music and it was busy. Now we took 20 minute before going inside just to find out that they did not even make our food what is highly frustrating I'm okay if you say let's call in the order so we don't have to wait in line to pay which I'm all for it but a full disclosure would have been better than waiting an extra 30 minutes for a food on the inside and eventually going back. Also it will be nice if I was told over the phone we won't start cooking your food until you pay for it because instead of us waiting outside we would have came and paid for it and only waited however long it took to make the food because they make food and order in which its paid because you can physically see it what's your name which is also fine however I did not expect to wait that long for some food otherwise why not just say you have to order inside or it's better if you do it through an app so we can start your food and it can be ready..Now looking past that when I tell you the quality and the taste of the food was exactly the same from the first time I went I praised the people and their recipe in a consistency that they give when making the food. And yes of course it's because they don't cook things out of order they cook them as they get to them and your food does hot but I wish that earlier part was communicated a lot better because then I know how to move from there of course I came there for the food so I was not leaving but knowing how much I'm actually going to wait will have me plan out better because it kind of ran longer into other things we wanted to do...I would still want to try them again just to make sure. I just hope the phone experience is not the same“
“Three words: Lahaina Fried Chicken! I highly recommend it. These fried chicken nuggets are extremely crispy, tasty and moist. The entree includes rice, macaroni salad and ramen cabbage salad. The portions are pretty big and the prices are reasonable. The decor feels like you're back home in Lahaina. You might get lucky and catch a live band!“
“I'm sad that this place opened up after I moved away! They have great quality poke by the pound, with many flavors and also great customer service along with other dishes too. Really friendly employee that always greets me every time I come, and the poke itself is really tasty compared to the generic poke places around. I personally love flavor so I like how their poke is so flavorful, although sometimes it's a LITTLE too flavorful, which I don't mind but my wife does. I love their limu poke, the crunchy bits of seaweed from Hawaii give a really good contrast to the poke, and it's consistently one I always get from here. Prices are reasonable and I love just getting some poke from here, making rice at home, and just having a nice little dinner, that is only if I didn't finish all the poke on the way home.“
“Vegetarian options: There is a vegetarian bowl option.Parking: Slightly small parking lot but there is more space behind the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: Not too many options but the kids bowl is quite simple but good, it has imitation crab and sushi rice.Wheelchair accessibility: There’s a ramp at the front of the restaurant.“
“I love eating at Auntie's and I can't stop raving about their breakfast burritos! Without a doubt, Auntie's serves up the best breakfast burritos I've ever had. My go-to order is the bacon and Portuguese sausage combo, minus the tater tots, and it never disappoints. Also I love the traditional Hawaiian music that plays as I'm enjoying my food. It always creates a calm and comfortable environment.I've explored breakfast burrito options all over the South Bay and Los Angeles, and nothing even comes close to Auntie's. The flavor profile is absolutely outstanding. The bacon is thick and delightfully crunchy, elevating every bite to a whole new level of deliciousness. What makes Auntie's even more remarkable is their support for law enforcement. They go the extra mile by hosting "coffee with a cop" events periodically, fostering better communication between the public and the Gardena police department. It's heartwarming to see the mayor of Gardena, Chief, and Captain attend these events, demonstrating Auntie's commitment to the community.Auntie's isn't just a restaurant; it's a place where you can savor incredible breakfast burritos and feel good about supporting a business that actively engages with its local law enforcement and community. If you're in the area, Auntie's is a must-visit spot for a truly unforgettable breakfast experience.“
“This place is a gem, I am so glad to have finally tried their food. There are lots of scrumptious options to choose from and right when I think I've made up my mind on what to get I spot the daily specials board. Mind you I did get in late for dinner so they were mostly sold out of their specials but I did not leave disappointed. The staff is friendly and very attentive, they make you feel like family. The chili is DELICIOUS! I loved it, I even took a pint of it home. Their poke is good, it was marinated with sesame oil and green onions. I also ordered a bento box and the somen salad and brocolli medley were the best parts. Overall a solid place to have a satisfying meal.“
“How have I lived here for as long as I have without knowing about this little gastronomical gem. A friend introduced me one night and I was instantly hooked on the place and the Pono burger with the Pono sauce. I’m a fan of sweet potato fries and those were quite divine, aioli on the side. We just went back for a casual Sunday lunch as our last food hoorah after Thanksgiving. That LUNCH! Perfection. Highly recommend. Have the spicy marg to go along with it. Light, refreshing, also perfection. Pono appetit!“
“My team at work decided they wanted to go out for breakfast and this was that place of choice. Their options were so good it was hard to choose. I ended up with the French Toast Special and was so happy with my choice. The French Toast Special comes with french toast, 4 wings, and eggs. I loved every bit of it and couldn't have been happier. I would definitely go back to try more options.“
“Good tortas I tried the torta cubana its was big and delicious i definitely coming back to tried a different torta only reason i give them 4 stars is because their salsas aren't spicy they need to incorporate jalapeños or chiles toreados.“
“We ate a great breakfast here yesterday. The food was great and the staff was very friendly. My husband ordered the Original Royale with fried rice, I had the French toast, and our daughter had the spam with eggs and hash browns. YUM! Everything was amazing. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to go back again!“
“First off, incredible service from ALL staff, my cashier Ryugen was extremely attentive, professional, and helpful. The service alone is enough to warrant the 5 stars. Treated like a king! Next the food, great if you like love Hawaiian bread, got a burger combo for $16 after sit in tax and left with a to go box. Left STUFFED and didn’t feel greasy like I usually do. Place was clean and you can tell staff was always picking something up/ reorganizing as they went. Almost knocked off a star for the round fish tank- it is considered animal abuse to have fish in a cylinder tank- leads to disorientation and depression for the fish according to marine biologists! (However I just ate a cow burger so I won’t get too on my high horse. Still very much a 5 star experience ?) definitely coming again and highly recommend.“
“Such a refreshing dining experience...starting with the location by the beach, followed by the top-notch customer service-the wait staff was so attentive, friendly, helpful and pleasant to interact with, to the fun vibe, to the flavorful, unique and delicious food and the tasty drinks. We can't wait to go back to enjoy with friends. Parking can be a challenge, but there is a pay lot close by.“
“Today was an experience I Google teriyaki chicken this location popped up. I bought a teriyaki chicken plate.....and the customer service was amazing..????by the guy at the front counter.Due to most places i get rushed to buy and fly. The food is perfect. If they had vegetables or brown rice a be perfect. He said I made sure you come back and I said man the way you treated me I'm for sure coming back you have to come here the food is off great“
“The food is amazing! Such fresh ahi and tasty poke bowls! The service is also great, and customer service very friendly. It’s a casual eatery, with outside seating, so you go there for the amazing and authentic Hawaiian food, not glamour. Very tasty stuff!“
“This Place is a Gem Local spot in a Bowling alley. Small and gets crowded really fast but worth the Wait. Yes, all local community people from Police, Fire, and City Workers ... Family orientated. Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner you won't go wrong. Check the attitude at the door if you in a hurry this is not the place for you. I would recommend you order it to Go First time i walked in here 15 years ago an Older Hawaiin lady called me a Holly Boy and said i will take your order when I'm ready. I have been back ever since...“
“My goto plate place since the mid-2000s. The pricing has been increasing, but the food portion and quality are about the same, and it's around 16 to 20$ a plate currently. The place has little parking up front and a small eating area, so I highly recommend phoning in the order and picking it up to go. The katsu and beef dishes ironically are better than the chicken teriyaki dishes as well.“
“Ali'i offers reliable, no frills poke bowls. The fish itself is fresh and tasty. Just poke and rice alone was pretty steep in price, so I chose to forego the additional toppings costing more than a dollar. The interior is small with no seating, so it's a grab and go type deal.“
“What else can I say? A place that actually focuses on the star of the plate. The Sauce. When you say Teriyaki. It's like a good Mexican spot. If the salsa is good, the food is good. Louis is a master of the craft. His fresh made chili is the best on the planet for me. Your service is impeccable, and your attitude is one that should be emulated in every business. Thank you so much for putting your heart and soul into your food. Mahalo Braddah! I mean, it, though. Give your young server a raise. She is dedicated and worthy.“
“I don't usually leave reviews but I have to specifically for this place to further stray away from the scary thought that it might close due to whatever circumstance. I have never had a more delicious drink/concoction than the Kei's Lani. It is literally the most perfect thing I have ever tried. How do they manage to delicately meld together the ice cream texture and shaved ice texture with lilikoi and guava flavors? It's amazing. Their garlic fried rice is also phenomenal, a taste that is hard to find in Torrance. The cherry on top is their butter mochi with bruleed top. (Also, they have my favorite sauces like cilantro jalapeño). They fill in every aspect that I more or less find absent in other restaurants around here. Please don't ever close“
“Amazing service and super amazing food! One of the few places where I felt confident with the gluten free choices; the owner helped me pick and knew well what I could and could not eat. I ate spicy tuna and spicy salmon which is usually not gluten free. Glad to report that it was gluten free with no issues topped by amazing service. Definitely will come again!Dietary restrictions: Amazing Gluten Free Options“
“I have been to several Poke places but this place is one of favorites. The owner is super nice and the food is amazing. They have many choices of sauces and you can choose your ingredients. I love how many options you have to customize your dish. I ate it all in 7 minutes!! Definitely will come back!!“
“First time there, Played, & helped host a Rock & Metal show!! .... Great Resturant, Bar, & venue. They serve some dank Hawaiian food, biggest, wings I've seen at any place. Bar Girls were great!! And they provided excellent service!!! Thank you to all who made 3/11/23 such a great time !!!!! We will definitely be back!!!“
“A fantastic little eatery where I could get a great affordable meal fast and eat in or take out. The menu is expansive and authentic Hawaiian BBQ. This is a chain on the Hawaiian islands and it was nice to eat at here in Torrance. I got the pork bowl with cabbage, but they have really good mahi mahi and chicken katsu with a side of macaroni salad. Too many choices!“
“Love this poke spot! Has become my go-to as well as a few friends' now. Prices are fair, a little on the higher side but well worth it for the quality of fish, variety of mix-ins and sauces, and friendly atmosphere!Janine is also great! ?“
“This is hand down the **BEST** poke place we have found! We moved away to Long Beach and have tried several local places but none of them come close in quality or taste. We actually still make the drive to come back to All About Poke in San Pedro since it is unmatched. Not only is the food amazing - the staff that prepares it is as well. In fact, Sunny still remembers our orders without even us having to tell them to her! First class service. You will not find a better place out there - trust me, we've looked!“
“Great tasting char broiled chicken bowl and the chicken is never dry. The chicken is so tasty with such great texture that teriyaki sauce isn't so completely necessary like other places. In and out in 10 minutes or less usually. Unfortunately, it used to be the best dinner for 3 under $20 because each plate was ~$6. Now, they just raised the price at least $1 per plate so it's over $20.They make Rascals' consistently dry and flavorless beef and chicken seem so unnecessary....“
“This is a no nonsense local restaurant. The smell as you walk in is unbelievably inviting. Smells like real, home cooked BBQ. I ordered the Momona Combo Plate since it’s my first time trying out this place. That combo has BBQ Chicken, Kalbi and Beef ribs. I highly recommend you give this place a try. Your taste buds, your tummy and your wallet will thank you. Also you might try calling in your order ahead of time to avoid a wait as food is made to order.“
“My second time here and I ordered the pecan and banana pancake combo with portuguese sausage. The sausage was delicious and the pancakes were amazing. I put a little butter and syrup on the pancakes and think next time I would just use a little more butter and no syrup. The pancakes were sweet just by themselves. Highly recommend this place if you are in the area.“
“I’m amazed. I was just passing by and decided to have Maui Chicken. DELICIOUS! I ordered salmon and avocado poke bowl, 100% recommend this place. Service amazing, they are very polite. It was a very hot day, I forgot to order water or anything to drink, the owner gave me a cold water bottle before leaving and said “it’s a very hot day outside, have some water”. They literally treat you like family. I saved this place in my favorites, I’m coming back. It wasn’t the free water for me, it was how kind they are here, they are laughing all the time, very nice energy. Food is AMAZING, taste and freshness are incredible. Portions are perfect, not too much rice. The plate comes with rice, A LOT of toppings, salad and mac&cheese for $19. It’s not overpriced at all, I don’t mind paying, when food and service are 5 stars. Thank you Maui Chicken, I’ll be back soon.*Food was so good I couldn’t stop, forgot to take a pic of my plate haha.“
“Thanks to the guys at Anytime Hawaiian for a great local dinner. We were craving some local food and found Anytime Hawaiian right across the Disneyland bus depot on Harbor. Great guys and great food. Thank you. We will definitely be back again. Aloha“
“I got a slice of paradise cake to go, and it was everything social media said it would be. Not too sweet, tender and moist cake, definitely photogenic. Two things:1. The passion fruit cake layer is awfully strong and dominates the other two cake layers (lime and guava), so the main thing you taste if you eat all three in one bite is passion fruit.2. The to go box is too short for the cake, and it squished the top, flattening it and ruining the lovely piping work of the bakers.“
“Some of the best poke I've ever had. I feel like all poke places skimp on the fish, but that didn't ruin my experience given how fresh it was here. Good selection of toppings, and the avocado was incredibly fresh - score! Worth the price for sure. Would definitely recommend.“
“I had a super weird experience here the other day, but as their food is always good, I'll let it pass for now. We have stopped going to other places in the area due to how managers treat their employees. In this case, it was a manager who kindly corrected their employee, but it was still weird what the employee did.I'm not going to go into details, but I was impressed with the way the manager did not belittle the employee, but did make sure I knew they would be talked to.I was not the perfect patron in this situation either, as I was on an important call and tried to do the transaction the first time before wrapping up the call.I ended up finishing the call and coming back in to learn that the transaction could have been made easily, but alas, perhaps me being on the call made the person not want to help me easily. Either way, we will still be returning as I appreciated the situation for what it was and I was impressed with the manager.“
“Food Was Bomb Beginning To End, They Hook It Up With The Chinese Version Of Chips N Salsa. Do Yourself A Favor And Order Moo Shu It Comes Fresh and The Waiter Will Wrap It In A Crepe Before Your Very Eyes!!! Forks Weren't Perfectly Clean But Meh It Happens. Also The Service Was Fast As Heck This Place Has Badass Workers. I Came Here Just Because I Was Passin' Through And I'm Really Happy I Chose RANDOMLY To Stop Here. Enjoy!!“
“The green salad and fried shrimps lacked the taste, which sounded mediocre. However, the macaroni one and dumplings (I forgot the name) were okay, while the yakisoba was tenderly good. Even the service was excellent with a fantastic atmosphere. Loved the restaurant since it was good to visit, as I'd recommend it.“
“there's no seating or amenities for eating at the location. so the atmosphere was 'ok'.there are several vendors at this location, as it's more geared towards the food delivery services than the walk up customers.i ordered a pastrami philly cheesesteak sandwich, and the pastrami was very tasty. the sliced steak seemed a little over seasoned but was still good. would recommend trying one of the cheeses versus their cheese whiz, just as a balance for their version. both meats were very juicy and tender though, as the bread was soaking it up.the size was good, so portion wise was excellent. I'll add this to my list to try the other sandwiches here. i just need to try the other menus at this location first.“
“This is a fast Chinese food spot food is not horrible but it's not the best. It is one of the better and cleaner looking Chinese food locations I've been to. The service is fast if you're gonna order from the pre made food there and the portions are huge for a good price. If you're gonna order off the menu i recommend ordering that first it will take a little bit longer to get that out. Inside looks a lot better looks like it's been painted and got new signs on the walls. Decent spot good service and fast food.“
“The food is amazing and our favorite and 90% of the staff is rad. There’s a younger girl that works there that refuses to make the bobba drink that they advertise. They’re either out or the machine is broke, but ONLY when she’s working. The taller young guy always makes it hands down and with a great attitude. I always thought she was lying but today I just saw the young guy over hear me try to order one so he attempted to make one and she stopped him dead in his tracks and gave him that look. I just laughed and shook my head. To the gentlemen, you’re going places. Keep it up. To the young lady…smfh.“
