“I would recommend the suadero and carne asada. The carne asada is grilled over an open flame, much better than most brick and mortar stores. Tortillas are home made, made right as you order. They open around 5 PM and usually go past midnight. No cash? They take Venmo and Zelle.“
“Needed to find some place to grab alate evening bite to eat, and this worked out really well. Food was surprisingly good (highly recommend grilled chicken sandwich). Service was fine - they take your order and call your order # when its ready. Their drive thru was very busy and took priority over walk in traffic, but its a solid option for a decent sandwich.“
“From start to finish Teddy’s was a 10/10. I got the deluxe plate and was not disappointed in the least. Everything was made to perfection and the consume was wonderful. The salsa had the perfect kick to it and you can’t beat the staff and ambience. I unfortunately am only visiting the area so I’ll just have to dream about eating their tacos on repeat.“
“As a devoted food lover, Dirt Dog- Gardena, is a Southern California experience worth savoring. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by a striking large wall mural of the Legends of West Coast Hip Hop, adding to the laid-back vibe that California is known for.The menu boasts a tantalizing array of options, from bacon wrapped hot dogs to birria tacos to fried Oreos! But when in doubt, you simply can't go wrong with a classic dirty dog and a side of filthy fries. Each bite is a flavor explosion that leaves you craving more.Refreshing beer on tap perfectly complements the bold flavors of the food and adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the dining experience.Overall, Dirt Dog in Gardena is a must-visit destination for any food lover in Los Angeles. With its inviting atmosphere, delicious food, and refreshing drinks, it's the perfect spot to indulge in a taste of the West Coast.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND“
“I love the vegetarian tacos here! Especially the calabacitas, frijoles y queso, nopales and the quesadilla! The corn tortillas are so fresh and taste great. I recommend the Jamaica to drink, it's authentic and not too sweet (def not the premixed kind full of sugar).“
“Enjoyed a relaxing outdoor brunch at this popular Mexican restaurant in the Torrance Hollywood Riviera. We picked a nice corner spot with partial shield under the umbrella. It’s a dog friendly restaurant but we wanted to be away from others with our young puppy. The food came fairly quickly, we highly recommend the Octopus Ceviche if you like octopus. I had the Wednesday Burrito special, and my wife had two tacos specials with Asadas. Both were delicious. Our server, Anthony, was prompt and friendly, multiple other servers stopped by multiple times made you feel welcome and made sure we have what we needed.Parking: Parking: a bit of hit and miss in this popular district, once you find a street parking spot, I recommend using the QR code and pay electronically, it’s relatively painless. Another person tried to mess with the meter and sometimes the screen is hard to read, especially under the sun.“
“This was easily one of the best dinner experiences of my entire trip to California. The queue is long, but who cares? Just stand in line and salivate at the thought of insane tacos, or perhaps a stupidly large burrito that can feed a family of three. Or you know, just get there earlier. The servers were super cheery and helpful as well, which is always a pleasure. The food is so flavourful, it even managed to retain its flavour when cold! Did I mention the food is amazing? It's amazing.“
“4+ Considered one of the best by many or at least one of the most popular taco spots in Los Angeles. They have a good variety of items and meats, but I would say they are most known for their al pastor (marinated, spit-roasted pork that is usually served with a slice/ chunk of pineapple). The service here is pretty efficient since they have to be - there's almost always a line. The vibe: depending on the time of day or night you come, it's usually a mixed group of people wanting to try this spot, people eating after a drinking session, or just people looking for decently priced tacos. One of the times I was here, I was standing behind Dante Basco (Rufio!), haha. Usually a fun vibe for sure. My usual here is two tacos (typically the al pastor) and a mulita. It used to be that there was a toppings and salsa bar where you would dress up your food. Not sure if it's because of the pandemic or people taking advantage and taking too much stuff home, you now have to go to a separate window to ask for the toppings and salsa and they're individually packaged. I definitely think this place is worth going for the al pastor. I myself have been here multiple times. Parking can be tough, but if you are going during the week there's usually parking along the street facing south on LA Brea right around the corner. Just be careful though as it is a relatively high traffic area and some people seem to drive recklessly in this area.“
“First tacos in LA and these didn't disappoint! Al pastor tacos were really delicious and served with great showmanship. Great selection of self serve toppings. Tacos were 2.50 each. There's a big line but it moves fast and there are a few stools around a long table to eat at. Highly recommend!“
“Location a bit unusual, but I am not from the area, so maybe it is not. The service was fine. The prices were good. Our foreign exchange student had pollo and asada, which he enjoyed, but said the steak was the better of the two. My partner had the vampiro, which she loved. Finally, I had the quesataco with chivo. It had just the right amount of juice and gaminess. The offer a wide variety of tasty salsas and drinks. With the countless options in the LA area, I would have to be near it or have a goat craving to eat here again.“
“Not only do I love their breakfast burritos here (specifically the chorizo), but I've always had excellent service here. The workers always are so nice and welcoming. Do NOT skip out on the salsa bar, it can really take everything to the next level.“
“Really impressed with the food at this restaurant.. great flavors and simple menu items. I was a huge fan of the red salsa .. will definitely be asking for a bucket next of it next time. Fair warning the "black" salsa is HOT.. use with caution. Can't say much about the ambience since I ordered take out but the location is super cute! Lots of window shopping around the area.“
“Love this taco stand. I take all my friends here. The food is delicious and the staff is delightful. The Al pastor is my favorite!Parking: Plenty of parking on the street and there's a Ralph's/Rite Aid parking lot you could use as well.“
“One of the Best Al pastor in town!Corn tortillas are made on the spot, huge al pastor meat roasting on the spot. I love all their green & red salsa, red salsa def have a kick, but it's good if you like it spicy. Their burritos and quesadillas are also good, huge! Great service, friendly staffs, line goes by pretty quickly, just be patient, worth the wait. They take cash & zelle.Follow on IG to get updated times and locations through out so cal.“
“This is my first time coming back this tacos stand in over 7 years and this place did not disappoint at all, the tortillas are handmade store is delicious I like that they have a limited amount of meats meaning that whatever you get, will be delicious. People working they provide friendly and fast service. Location is as it should be for street tacos, it's just adds more to the ambience and experience of street tacos 10/10.“
“After running an errand in the area, G's popped up on Yelp and it did not disappoint. Conveniently located in a plaza with plenty of parking, G's was not hard to find. Upon entering, it was plenty busy for 11am on a rainy day (a good sign.) I was pleasantly surprised they offered $1.25 tacos for Taco Tuesday ! In addition, they offer this special on Thursdays and Sundays! I ordered two asada and two al pastor tacos. After ordering, I helped myself to the salsa/condiment bar which had many of the usual suspects (red, green and an avo salsa along with limes.) The tacos came out freshly cooked and were served on heated yellow corn tortillas. The meats were well seasoned and topped with onions, cilantro and red sauce. I've been on a taco crawl all over LA the past few years and these rival some of the best around. While scarfing down my tacos, I was looking over the handwritten whiteboard menu and noticed that they offered complimentary consome. How awesome is that?! This along with the fact I skipped dinner the night before prompted me to order two birria tacos which along with the consome totally hit the spot . Safe to say I will be returning again and again!“
“Their tacos were so filling and delicious. I ordered a few tacos to start off with and shared it between my family and I. My kids really enjoyed the tacos and we had to get more. The atmosphere felt lovely and pleasant. My kids always tell me to come back whenever we're in LA. Thank “
“Amazing tacos, esp. the Baja fish and turkey carnitas!Attentive service -- they always ask the preferred level of hotness.Definitely a take-out place -- the 2 tables outside are kinda perfunctory...The only issue is they are no longer opened for dinner!“
“Nice little casual place to grab a bite. You order your food at the food truck window and can go into a separate building to sit down. Tacos were tasty and the best part was having different topping options, a couple salsas, pickled onions, Cilantro, Radish, cucumber etc. We were on our way from Orange County up to the Bay Area and wanted to eat quickly to keep driving. Glad we stopped here as it was really close off the freeway.Carne asada and al pastor tacos were delicious. Also tried the suadero but they weren't really my thing. Would come again!“
“The place is small it is more for take-out. The menu is very traditional Mexican, it reminds me of Monterrey. Places that I used to go to when I lived in Mexico. My go-to order are the Carne Asada Tacos. I like them because the corn tortillas are made in house. The salsas are good and you can get a small serving of pinto beans.I also like the Chicken Enchiladas Plate or the Carne Asada Plate. The servings are good, the food is fresh, and the service is good.Try the Aguas Frescas if you aren't a soda person.Parking is limited, find street parking and avoid the headache.“
“Love stopping by here after a Dodgers game...always get tacos Al Pastor & then finish the night off with dessert from the churro stand next to the troca. So delish. Tonight we got 4 tacos de al pastor, a burrito de al pastor, an agua de horchata, & a bottle of Sidral (apple soda) & spent $31.Parking: Small parking area since it's also a tire shop...but the security makes it work by telling you where to park.“
“I saw this place and thought it had a nice view from the street over to the ocean so I figured I would eat there. I honestly thought it would be a tourist trap type restaurant because of the location, however, it turned out to be amazing food. I ordered iced tea, which had a lovely and fresh taste to it, not like it came out of the can. Guacamole fresh salsa is fresh, and I ordered fried snapper fish tacos were excellent. The rice was also good, being very flick as opposed to just plain tasting rice. I was pleasantly surprised at the service was excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant.“
“First time here after a concert at Sofi. Food truck opened late so we were able to grab late dinner. Great service. Since we were first time customer, they let us try their popular item. Not sure what is called but it's a fried corn tortilla with refried beans and meat. It was amazing! Their salsa is also spicy and delicious. We got birrira tacos, which was good, and the burrito is packed with refries beans and meat. I'm very picky when it comes to beans but these were my favorite. It's gooey and soft and perfectly seasoned. Would come again if I'm ever back in town.“
“During my visits here I have always been greeted/treated with amazing customer service by the girl working the front always very cheerful and helpful! I love this spot! My second time here and I ordered 1lb of the carnitas mix and a menudo. I love carnitas and this spot won my heart it's not easy finding good carnitas so I am happy to say that this is my go to spot. I get the mix which comes with the carnitas, cueritos, and buche packed with so much flavor. Just one bite of these carnitas and it brings a smile to your face! This visit I tried the menudo and it is amazing so much meat and no maíz which I prefer. Leave the Maíz for the pozole lol. While those are the only things I get from there they also have a great variety of options I have yet to try. 10/10 Carnitas estilo Michoacán“
“Flavorful, simple, complex- great on the tongue and even better in the tummy. The red sauce gets everywhere and ai loved it! I can't say enough about how helpful and gracious the staff were - brought the food to my table "FROM A FOOD TRUCK!!! AMAZING!!!!!!" before I had a chance to get up.The dining area is just off the alley off of Slausen. Under a canopy with a little music and a restroom and a sink. "Only in LA" and only at Teddy's can you find such a great spot with the tastiest birria and extra tortillas.I will be back for the torta and more of the consommé.Don't miss this, it's definitely worth the trip.“
“In town from Texas, and these might be the best pastor tacos I've had in a very long time.. So good I came back the next day. Good prices, the red salsa is delicious, all the right condiments, cebolla, cilantro, rabano, ? the horchata was very refreshing, and they made our order super fast ? Def coming back on future trips to LA (AND THEYRE OPEN LATE!!)“
“This is a very cute little taco shop! The service is warm and friendly. There are chips and a delicious salsa included. I ordered the Carne Asada burrito and my husband got shrimp and chicken tacos. We were able to sit inside at a cute little booth. It was overall a great dining experience! Everything was extremely fresh and scrumptious. Highly recommend!!!“
“My husband and I stumbled upon this place for a quick snack while walking down the Venice Beach boardwalk. We ended up sharing the Mahi Mahi tacos. It had pickled onions, corn, cheese and a white wine sauce. The fish was super fresh and the ingredients were fresh. Each order comes with 2 tacos so it was the perfect snack. I wish we had gotten more! They are soooo good!“
“Real Mexican cuisine!!! Despite the fact that the place looks very “simple,” the guys cook truly delicious Mexican food. I work nearby and it seems to me that I have already tried everything!! Favorite - casadilla with chicken and avocado?“
“This was my first time trying this place. I decided to try their quesabirria with consume. To me it was sure good i enjoyed every bite of it with red salsa and lemon squeezed in my broth and sure did the dip on the quesabirria. Very crunchy was just good. Sure will be going to visit in person.“
“I stopped by this evening with my sister in law after a Dr. Appt down the street when putting gas I could smell the cooking. I ordered 3 tacos and champurado basic of asada my sister n law ordered 2 de tripas and 1 lengua and a large jaimica. Wow the food was really really delicious like it was made from your home kitchen very tasteful. The service was very fast and they were polite and helpful. I am definitely coming back even though I'm about 30 min away it's worth it. They are located on Redondo and Vermount Gardena.“
“Absolutely delicious and great service! You can pick two meats in a burrito which was music to my ears and my carne asada and el pastor burrito was amazing (and huge). If you are in the area, stop here, and apparently you can order ahead as well.“
“Wow! Sunday live music 12-3 PM. Delicious mole sampler and pozole hit the spot! Great atmosphere! Attentive staff! It was even more special as it was Dia de Los Muertos season and they had a beautiful ofrenda display. This restaurant I will recommend to friends visiting L.A. A+ all around.“
“Great, quick spot for Mexican food in Hermosa Beach! Got the Asada Nachos for only $11.50. The nachos came with plenty of meat, cheese, guacamole, and salsa. Some of the best nachos I've had in awhile and for a price you can't beat!“
“The salmon at California Fish Grill is always the best, but I think another thing that I like is the street corn and the zucchini. my go to spot for healthy food and you can never go wrong with it. in this location the inside has a really cool minimalistic vibe which makes for a really nice nightParking: Easy parking but you definitely have to come at the right time“
“I really enjoyed my visit here again. I came back 2 years after my first time here to take a photo by the boat. The bartender, Mikey, was absolutely amazing and really knowledgeable about tequila. He knew a lot about the drinks and he made some really nice cocktails for me and my friends. I will totally come back next time I am in Santa Monica!“
“Literally the best taco truck on the westside. You can smell all the amazing smells as you're driving by. The prices are reasonable and the service is lovely. My only critique is that maybe they should consider adding some small chairs/tablesBut overall SO IMPRESSED with this taco truck. Their Birria is never super oily which is what I've noticed with other Birria places. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!“
“Their fried fish tacos are 10/10. The batter is perfect and it comes with avo, radish, and pickled carrots and cucumbers. I think it's better than Ensenada's on Artesia, and that place is already sets the bar high for me. Worth a visit and don't forget to give the fruta lady down the street some love too.“
“Finally tried this spot out a few months back and it's now a 3-4 visits/month kinda place for us. Food is fresh, hot, not greasy, and not over salted. Love their fresh corn tortillas, portions are solid, salsas are on point, and service is friendly and efficient!“
“First time eating here was delicious ? great ? taste ? on my food tostadas de camarón ? where fire ?.. my boyfriend fish ? tacos ? where fire ? as well .. my shrimp ? cocktail ? was tasty ?… I would definitely recommend it .. there’s plenty of parking ?️ the agua fresca de jamaica so yummy ?…“
“I attend a family gathering, they served food from HomeState that was so delicious, I just had to write about it. A pre-order for 2 dozen tacos, tortilla chips and toppings was served. The tortillas were handmade and filled with a variety of protein, cheese and beans. Each was individually wrapped in foil and clearly labeled for your convenience. The food has a "Texas" flair to it, featuring brisket, pinto or black beans, diced potatoes, pickled red onions, Pico de Gallo, and vegetarian options too. I chose the "Don't Mess with Texas" soft taco. It was filed with Charro beans, bacon, potatoes and cheddar cheese. You can also buy a dozen flour tortillas as a side and save them for the next day! So worth the price ($8 a dozen). They are open 7 days a week, for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Try them and you will want to go back for more. Don't forget to tell 'em that Rosemary sent ya!“
“Tacos La Flamita Mixe has either moved or opened a second stand. You can now find them on the corner of Bundy and Goshen in Brentwood, in front of the Ralph's on Wilshire and Bundy. Can't say enough good things about this food! The al pastor is not dry but not oily either - perfect. Asada is great. Their selection of salsas and toppings are awesome. Great bang for your buck. Stuffed burritos and quesadillas. Feed a family of 4 easily for $50 to $60 bucks. The people working the stand are super nice and down to earth. They usually put out some of those small plastic stools to sit on the sidewalk. There's a curb dividing the sidewalk and the Ralph's parking lot that you can also sit on. Perfect for a quick bite.“
“This was my first time trying this place. I decided to try their quesabirria with consume. To me it was sure good i enjoyed every bite of it with red salsa and lemon squeezed in my broth and sure did the dip on the quesabirria. Very crunchy was just good. Sure will be going to visit in person.“
“We were looking for a place with a good menudo...we passed here twice...we looked at it alone...but we came back and gave it a chance...we don't regret it...The menudo has a very good flavor..it has a very good texture and what I liked the most was that it was very well served...the tacos were very tasty..excellent place !!..100% recommended!..“
“The costilla taco and it had so much flavor! It wasn't huge but it was just the right lunch size for me. Served with green onions and radishes, it reminded me of Mexican dinners with my grandma. I also had the chips with guacamole (so flavor-packed!) and delicious watermelon agua fresca. This meal was a total win, all around.“
“We got to meet Juan! He is amazing! Not only did he make us feel so welcome. He broke the menu down for us and showed great hospitality! One top of that the tacos, pastor and asada (what we've tried so far) are truly out of this world! Salsas made in house. & they cater! We will be back.“
“Some of the best tacos and quesadilla I’ve eaten and the service is amazing they treat you like at home. The green salsa is not spicy and is amazing. They are clean and just perfect spot for some street Mexican authentic food. Only thing missing was maybe a little table to eat but I don’t know if it’s permitted but still amazing.“
“Now these are tacos Al vapor. If you know Al vapor tacos then this place should be on your taco list. The birria tacos are solid as well. Just discovered this hidden gem. They open at 7 am that's a plus for my book. I'm yet to try the other items on the menu. ?? Solid Tacos!!!“
“Some seriously good tacos! Ordered the Al Pastor and Carne Asada. The Asada were good but nothing to write home about, but the Al Pastor was delish! Served with a thin slice of pineapple, a side of the freshest lemons, onions & cilantro, and sliced radishes. The Al Pastor is tasty and even better with a squeeze of lemon! The truck has friendly employees serving up their tacos and taking orders. They accept Apple Pay, credit cards, debit and cash. Though the tacos are priced right at under $3.00. They also set up a few tables and chairs so you can sit and enjoy. And unlike many taco trucks, the tables are regularly cleaned down and they had a sunshade tucked to the side of required! I'll be back to try the Vampire Taco and California Burrito for sure!“
“If you’re ever in the Southbay in LA do yourself a favor and source this seafood gem. It’s ALWAYS busy and I don’t like waiting in line but I will here. The benefit of seafood being fresh is because they sell enough that it’s always excellent. There providers must love the account and take good care of them.Okay, ceviche is a must do with tostada chips, avocado and a slew of hot sauces and a self serve salsa station that also offers marinated white onion ribbons and wonderful whole roasted yellow chiles dusted with a red tangy red spice.Tacos come with a variety of seafood options, I suggest the battered fish as a beginning test since you will come back for them anytime you go again, just trust this.Prices are reasonable and the staff are very happy, why not, everyone eating there are friggin happy too. Parking can be a buzzkill but you’ll figure it out.“
