“Everything about this place has been graced by humanity's urgency of success and ambition. This cafe is absolutely the most wonderful best cafe in all of the west coast and dare I say in the entire united states. In all my years of living i have never experienced such an experience as wonderful as dinning in this wonderful place. A small little piece of heaven on earth.“
“Wow… incredible gyro meat, pitas, salad, tzatziki, and baklava. Everything was fresh and tasted like homemade, but better! The owner went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. We would be here once a week if we lived nearby! Just so so good… and I’m of middle eastern decent, so I know good Greek food!“
“My experience at Luna grill was really amazing , we had such delicious food I had never had before and management was above and beyond when the staff was busy they came to make sure we had everything we needed 10 out of 10 experience . For sure would go again !“
“We arrived a little before lunch, we were seated promptly, brought waters and menus very quickly. We ordered a gyro sandwich and fries and a gyro dish with a kebob. The food was delicious, flavors as expected and service was very quick, from ordering to being served as well. The beer options were good and went well with the food. I did enjoy this place and as others arrived for lunch they were serviced promptly as well, all while our server continued to give us excellent service. March 6, 2024.“
“Absolutely LOVE the Grecian Cafe. My go to spot when I'm in town and craving Greek food. The family that owns the place is really nice and welcoming. They make a wonderful Greek salad (ask for extra olives if you're an olive lover like me). I also love their Dalmas as well as the Gyro's here. Parking can be a little tight but usually there's atleast one spot available.“

“The staff is always helpful. The food is great. Elizabeth was very helpful. I had some deals on my app and she calmly helped me step through ordering so I could get the offers that are available to me. Thank you, Elizabeth. I also think it's great that they remember things about your ordering habits. Pablo seems to know I like 3..4 lemon slices ro season my salmon with. That's what I call customer service. Thanks, Pablo. Please "Like this if you find it helpful". Thank you.Dear Owner,I use to come here a lot. 2...3.. days a week. Please..please..put this restaurant back on the Marriott Eat Around Town program. If I get points for just eating here..I tend to eat here more. Since you stopped being on that program I only eat here like once every 6 months. Think it over. Thanks“
“Abbey, our attendant was friendly and greeted is with a smile...good customer service! Brought our food to the table quickly...thank you kitchen staff. Abbey followed up to see if our food was good and if we needed anything. Food is healthy and filling. Yum! Thank you Rancho San Diego staff!“
“We have wanted to find a Greek restaurant in downtown, and it was quite hard until a neighbor told us about this place. This restaurant is outstanding!! Rosalie is very pleasant, makes amazing cocktails and knows everyone. Authentic Greek food and apps is why we continue to come back to this place.“
“I’m obsessed with this place. It’s family owned and they’ve been around for a while. I’ve been coming here since before the pandemic. The food is top notch and they give great portions. I typically get the gyro plate & hummus. The man who takes the orders is always so friendly and sweet. It’s an all around great establishment!“
“Great restaurant. Relatively quick service (~5 mins for one sandwich). Like someone else mentioned, it smells great as soon as you walk in. Patient and polite service as I needed a few minutes to look over the menu. While large menus can be a bad sign, you can see them making everything fresh to order. I got the Reuben and it had a lot of meat, great bread, great sauerkraut. Definitely will return“
“Conflicted about this review, love their food, good value, but have to say something about this skewer. I get food from here like 2 times a month, I usually get the gyro, patty melt, burger, Philly cheese steak, skewer meal, but this time I got a gyro sandwich and was extra hungry, so I decided to get something extra, which was this chix skewer that was $9.99. I thought that it would be a good size skewer but this was what I got when I got home. Like I said I like this place, and will continue to be a patron, but I will never get nor recommend anybody get this chix skewer for 10 bucks that was 3.2 ounces“
“Sweet guy running the register, absolutely delicious food and quaint atmosphere with awesome prices. Def my fave Greek food in San DiegoParking: There are lots of options, time it for less busy points of the day and you’ll find enough options to fit any budget (it’s downtown) just give yourself a few extra minutes at peak timesWheelchair accessibility: The city has decent enough access compared to others I have lived in. This is an old building with close set tables, so getting in and getting seated might be a little difficult, but there is a wheelchair accessible seat right as you come in the door. There aren’t very many seating options, because of the size of building, that’s not something they can help.“
“The Mediterranean food here is excellent and all the dishes I've tried are fresh, well made and flavorful. My favorite dish so far is the chicken kabob plate. The grilled chicken is tender and savory. I also love the lentil soup they serve when you dine in.“
“i havent been here in years and I was actually coming for their burger and it no longer here, but that gave me a chance to try a few new things. I convinced my wife to go with the Garlic Lemon Chicken and that my friends deserves a 5 star rating. The customer service also gets 5 stars for going above and beyond. The Gyro Hummus and Koobideh were really good and I am really looking forward to coming back again. I know food prices are going up and it is good food but I didnt think it was quite $20 a plate good. I will still come back, just not as frequent. Nice quiet place for lunch.“
“Just had a great meal delivered via DoorDash. I ordered the kabob combo - beef and chicken. The beef was super tender. Generous portion. Loved the flavor of the tzatziki. Really enjoyed it. Definitely the best DoorDash I've had. Travelled well! Probably even more delicious in person. Will absolutely be ordering from them again.“
“This place has great subs, especially the hot pastrami. The pizza is great too! The dough is so good, the sauce tastes great, fresh ingredients and they always use A LOT of cheese. Definitely one of my go-to spots for comfort food. I went for breakfast once and it was very good with big portions, Im just not a morning person. I typically call ahead and pick up, they get me in and out quick.“
“My company treated its staff with a comp'd meal from the Groovy Greek Truck and I was not disappointed. I was impressed at how the employees handled the rush of hungry employees over the course of 2 hours. I ordered the lemon chicken. I am not sure how much it typically costs but I would assume it's a great value because it does come with a lot of food. My only food related note is the lemon chicken had no lemon flavor to it. The yellow glaze was a honey mustard, but regardless it still was very tasty. The rice, tzatziki, and salad had great value. Definitely left nice and full and sleepy for the rest of my workday!“
“The gentleman that served my meal was very kind. He even showed care in details that I’m not used to being asked: “1 or 2 cups of ketchup?” “Would you like ice in your drink?” I don’t know of any other place that takes the time to show they care and ask the details. He was very kind and respectful and the food was good!“
“This is a small family owned greek sopt, hidden treasure in grossmont food court**Their suppliers compete for quality**They deserve a 5 star reaturant in la Mesa tbh;I really think they should start a go fund me, I'd love to contribute to their goals!!“
“"Ok, Google, find a Mediterranean restaurant near me that's open for lunch." I was not led astray when I was directed to Alfinjan. I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap and initially asked for rice instead of fries, but was told I should try the fries because they "cook them differently...you know, to stand out." And stand out they do...crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I don't know what the secret is, but trust these fries. But really, who even cares about sides when the shawarma is so perfectly cooked. Moist, juicy, with that slight crispness... It shared space with lettuce pickles and the most delicious creamy garlic sauce... With I think just a hint of tahini. You know how sometimes tahini can be too sesame forward or salty? This was not, it was truly heavenly. I wish I had snapped a photo, but I was too busy enjoying the food. Highly recommended for both food and friendly, helpful service. I will be back soon.“
“Late dinner, not real busy was nice, not loud, food was really good we really enjoyed it. Nice people, friendly.. food was warm and tasty. The hibiscus water was delicious and homemade, not too sweet. I'm definitely coming back.Parking: The lot is shared with 7-11. Wasn't busy when we went, but it may be busy depending on times and days.“
“Best Mediterranean food in the city . Fresh , and flavorful as if they cooked it at home. These cooks are cooking with love . Very nice to talk with and friendly . Very clean and tend to your needs quickly and respectfully. My go to spot and it should be yours too. Highly recommended. The Michelin of takeout.Vegetarian options: Rice , falafel, salads and moreDietary restrictions: They will alter your choice to meet your needs just askKid-friendliness: Plenty of room for kids and family orientedWheelchair accessibility: Easy to access any table or take out .“
“We have been coming here for the last 20 years and the food has been consistently good. It's amazing how they can grill the chicken kabobs perfectly charred on the rim but MOIST on the inside. The eggplant dip is a must have here. Prices are fair and has risen very slightly. The bathroom is always clean.“
“Discovered Patty's Cafe Today Very clean and inviting! Prices are competitive. Wide variety of menu items. Old fashioned breakfast which we don't have enough of around here. Mexican American, Greek options for lunch and dinner too. Best news! They don't put sausage in their country gravy!!! They will on request though. They do not disappoint. Try it for yourself“
“The food is delicious. The gyros sandwiches are wonderful. Fresh and delicious. The feta fries were yummy too. Ordering was good. Food delivery was .... The food came out separately. Everything was ordered at once but each entree arrived 3-5 minute apart. 1 of the entrees was very different than ordered. They didn't seem to care that it wasn't correct. Everyone's food got cold waiting for everything to arrive. They'd deliver 1 item to one table and 2 to another. Usually each table is served in full. This was very confusing to me. And the tzatziki ordered (and we paid $1.50 for each tablespoon size serving) had to be asked for repeatedly. The order of feta fries that used to come on a big plate were now in a tiny basket. Maybe 15 fries for $6.95. Very disappointing. I asked to speak to a manager and the lady there said I could speak to her. I had already spoken to her and wanted to get a different opinion on the size of the fry order. It was very different than when I had been there prior. I keep coming back because the food is so good. But each time I leave I'm not happy on how hard it was to get the food. The service isn't bad, but it has some definite room for improvement. I'm frustrated but the food tastes so good.“
“Antonio our server was super. The shrimp ouzo saganaki flamed table side was delicious as was the spinakopita and Greek quesadilla. For dessert we had the baklava cheesecake and it did not disappoint!! Great atmosphere, waiters and great food! Thanks!!“
“Popped in with a buddy on a whim. The parking lot is a little small and the outside of the building is a little worse for wear, but holy cow the food. From the parking lot the scent of seasonings and grilled meat had me salivating. The food was amazing and there was a ton of it for the price. I got a chicken plate with hummus and pickled vegetables and couldn't finish it. One plate is easily enough to split for a good sized lunch for 2. Took home some chicken shawarma which i demolished for dinner. Super looking forward to being back in the area to grab another meal. The seating is a little limited, but the inside was immaculately kept. Reminded me a bit of being in Sicily where the outside appearance has little bearing on how nice the inside is. Staff was super friendly and helpful. My buddy and I put in to go orders and they took the initiative to wait about 10-15 minutes to start cooking it so it was hot when we left.Parking: The lot is shared with a few other businesses, but it looked like about 10-12 spots were there.“
“This is my go-to restaurant in San Diego. Not a chain, just a family friendly restaurant with nice décor, good service and freshly cooked food featuring Greek specials. Try the Greek Green Beans! Gyro's available and, of course, spanakopita or moussaka. They even flame out the saganaki at your table. But turkey and meatloaf meals and hot sandwiches (cheaper on the lunch menu) are good options, too. Great salads and soups. Eat in our outside on the patio. SUNDAY BRUNCH IS BACK! You don't have to choose between breakfast and lunch-it is all ready for you, whatever your pallet. Decent prices, too.“
“If you want a delicious nutritious dinner without cooking, go here. My favorite is Chicken Skewers Dinner it serves 2, and I highly recommend you try their buttermilk dressing, it's is THE BEST! If you want something fried, try the fried zucchini. Enjoy!“
“Good value! Food was reasonably priced and very tasty. Customer service was very good. We went when it was crowded and the food came out fast and the staff were Friendly and very helpful! They were working hard to keep up with customer demands.“
“Great chicken and gyros!Parking: 10 spots, also there is curbside ordering or drive through.Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome here.Wheelchair accessibility: Flat floor, double doors that are operated by hand. Restrooms are accessible but small.“
“Was about to grab something from the Colimas, the Mexican place right next door. I eat at their North Park location all the time, but, as I was walking up, I saw that this Greek place was packed with a bunch of 5'8" guys that looked like they would have-back hair. I took that as a sign that this place was legitimate. I was not disappointed in the least and ate the best gyro sandwich I've had in years. I will undoubtedly eat here again in the future and will be recommending it to friends and family ???“
“Few places capture the essence of traditional Italian pizza like In and Out Pizzeria. This charming establishment stands as a testament to the power of simple, quality ingredients used with skill and precision. If you find yourself yearning for a comforting bite of the classic, you'll find no better locale than this unassuming gem.The pizza at In and Out Pizzeria is nothing short of extraordinary. Their crust hits the perfect balance, toeing the line between airy and crispy. It's clearly a product of careful craftsmanship and attention to detail, with each batch given ample time to rise and develop its distinct, slightly yeasty flavor. But, the crust only tells half the story. The sauce—a savory, tangy delight—offers a subtle sweetness that harmonizes with the cheese beautifully. This isn't a cheese that's simply thrown on as an afterthought. No, it's generously layered, bubbling to a golden perfection, and has a flavor profile that can only come from high-quality mozzarella. The ingredients are fresh, aromatic, and bursting with flavor—each component making a significant contribution to the mouthwatering symphony that is an In and Out Pizzeria slice. But In and Out Pizzeria isn't just about great pizza. Their service is notably warm and friendly, making you feel at home from the moment you step through their door. The staff is knowledgeable, ready to guide you through the menu, and genuinely passionate about their food.
