“One of my favorite ice cream places was Ici’s in Berkeley but it suddenly closed a few years ago. I’ve been looking for a place to fill that void and perhaps find closure. Well, I found closure and a new magical ice cream experience in Sunset Blvd. Eating their ice cream for the first time felt like that scene in the film Ratatouille where the food critic takes a bite and flashes back to his childhood.

“I came across Playa Provisions when in town for business. It was a short Uber from the airport, so I figured I'd give it a try. This place is an absolute gem! It is a unique setup that has everything you'd possibly need from morning until late at night: Cafe in the front for coffee and fresh baked good, as well as full breakfast menu. Later in the heat of the afternoon, take a break from the beach (right across the street) and enjoy hand scooped specialty ice cream cones and shakes. Oh look, it's dinner time... and Playa Provisions opens their dining room and bar, some of the best, most relaxed ambience you'll find for miles around. But don't let the casual setting fool you, this is some incredible, elevated cuisine. Chef owners Nick and Brooke (who you might recognize) crafted a menu that's I've been eating my way through, and have yet to find a dish that's not delicious. You've been eating and drinking all day, and are exhausted? Don't leave yet! “A friend recommended this place claiming it’s one of the best ice creams worldwide. I wanted to try, so I ordered child’s size Vegan Belgian Chocolate, Cioccolato Belga, since they added this non-diary version to the menu. OMG and thank you! It’s unbelievable how good it is! “Bacio di Latte is becoming a fast growing chain with a few stores opened in LA and in a few other cities across California.

But don’t get me wrong, although they have expanded, their ice cream are staying absolutely delicious. My personal favorite is the Belgian chocolate one. You can try it in a regular cup, or get some Nutella or pistachio cream added to it for even more flavor.

This location offers a few sitting area both indoor and outdoor. You will need to find to park on San Vicente boulevard or in the surrounding street.“

“Technically Beverly Hills is across the street, lol. It doesn't matter because the food is incredible. The meat ravioli is the best anywhere. They also offer a meatball the size of your fist.

Not sure if it's still the case, but they only accepted cash whenever I've eaten there. The place is a bit cramped and they always seem to be quite busy.“

“I have lived in Manhattan Beach for over 20 years and yesterday I had maybe the best customer service experience EVER in my life. I was not able to get the young man’s name but I have this picture here that he let me take. This young man was so warm and hospitable towards everyone who walked in the store. He was very patient with me and all my sampling requests which was probably annoying because I came at a busy time, but his positive attitude never wavered. His smile lit up my day and made my ice cream taste even sweeter than it already was! I loved my experience with that young man so much that I might only get ice cream from salt in straw from now on! He also gives the best scoops, filled with a lot of joy… and ice cream as well, so request him if you can. “Honeymee in Gardena is a sweet little spot that’s definitely worth a visit! The serving area is small, but the quality more than makes up for it. I was walking by after dinner and saw some people who were eating ice creams and feel like it is what I need right now, I looked for ice cream shops nearby and found Jeni’s. It was a really good ice cream shop. They have a wide variety of flavors, and I got one scoop of Strawberry Pretzel Pie and one scoop of Texas Sheet Cake. Both were absolutely delicious but I like strawberry more - the second one was a little bit sugary for me. The flavor in both was rich and creamy, and it felt very fresh, so it tasted really good. I really enjoyed it.

I ordered ice cream in a waffle cone, and the portion was pretty generous, bigger than I expected. The waffle was pretty good, not dry but crispy. The prices are reasonable for that amount of ice cream.

The place itself is nice inside, looks like regular ice cream spot. There are no tables inside but you can find some on the street. The staff was friendly and helpful, she told me about different flavors and let me sample.

Overall, I would definitely recommend checking this place out. The ice cream is amazing, I really enjoyed it, and I’m already looking forward to coming back and trying more flavors.“

Blaring bright lights in a commercial kitchen environment. Employees are dishing out ice cream in an assembly line fashion. It’s actually a very large shop set up to handle a large volume. Salty caramel truffle is my fave.“

Today was our first time and we had the Mexican Hot Chocolate (smooth and delicious!), Strawberry Pie (more fruity and delicious) and Mint Oreo (Lots of Oreos and delicious). The Chocolate Gooey Brownie is very choclatey and a bit boring. Salted, Malted is the way to go along with a waffle cone. Prices are reasonable, portions are fine, good ice cream but I probably would pick other spots just because of their variety. Overall I would definitely recommend this place and would come back.“

“Pistachio ice cream is one of the best I've had. It has the right amount of cream to nut ratio. The flan is also one of the best I've had because it has a thicker consistency. Every other flan has a more watery texture, whereas this one is more dense and high quality.“
