“I should come here more often. With an old school, privately run, "before sports bar were corporate" feel, each time I come here I enjoy myself.
Full bar and food. Often window shade down for sun and a little darker inside.
Recently stumbling upon them in an early opening, by a locals request, so they could watch the early 8am US Women's soccer semifinal during Olympics. That's the kind of place I want to support.
Have also been here for U12 soccer team party, which is how I know there's a secret back room. Call in advance to schedule.
A long time local establishment,“

“The owner, whom I have known for a long time, said that she opened a restaurant in Buena Park, but since the opening time is 5 PM, it was difficult to find the time to visit, so I couldn’t visit.
However, she recently changed the opening time and opened for lunch, so I visited last week.
I had Rosé Tteokbokki, So-tteok So-tteok, and Sweet Potato Fries, and the food was all good.
One thing I wish could be improved is the decoration and interior. The concept of this place is to approach young customers with a comfortable atmosphere, but the scribbles covering the tables and walls didn‘t look very good.

“The food was super delicious. We got the spicy chicken sandwich, the French dip, the burger, and the cherry-huckleberry pie. All were exceptionally delicious. Unfortunately, the service was terrible. They charge for refills on drinks (cokes and diet cokes) and the waiter took forever to do anything. For reference, there were three groups seated in the restaurant at the time we went. We thought he might have been new, which is understandable, but it was crazy slow even for a newbie.“

“Our group went to Riley’s on 2nd to celebrate my birthday and to celebrate US as mom’s too! My last name is Riley so I thought this would be the best place to go? Our server Cody was awesome and met all our numerous requests with a smile. The food was delicious! We chose the Short Rib Melt and the Cali Chicken sandwiches and we all had the salad.“

“We found this place while on vacation in Long Beach and saw they had breakfast so we gave it a try.
The food was excellent. Huge portions. Really homecooked type food, nothing felt frozen. Awesome bacon and one of the best sausage patties I have ever had. The prices were really reasonable for the amount of food.
The service was outstanding. The bartender was really friendly and treated us like we were regulars. Our waitress was amazing and friendly. We enjoyed it so much we went back twice for breakfast and once for beers at night. (Guiness on tap!)“

“Ordered New York & Shrimp to-go, white rice w/vegetables adding Miso soup. White rice was the best part, don't get me wrong the food was good just not worth $45.14. The Teriyaki sauce tasted like it was made by a white guy trying too hard to cook Japanese food. The vegetables were cooked perfectly! I became a bit spoiled for Japanese food in HB from eating at Matsu (Beach & Talbert) since 1978, but this was okay food, I really can't complain much. I am wondering why at 7:30PM on a Wednesday night the dining room was a ghost town?!?It was the best Japanese food I've had on Beach Blvd. in HB for a long time. Matsu has gone downhill since it changed ownership in the 90's, but I think I found my new favorite Japanese restaurant to eat at in HB.I think I was happy with my food overall, I'll give it a solid 7 out of 10. If the staff were a bit more friendly, I'd give you another point, let's see what happens the next time I visit this restaurant.Good job people. ?
Parking: This restaurant is located in the old HB Fire Station across the street from Taco Bell, plenty of parking but would be better if it had a little bit more lighting.“

“Been to many many a bar in my lifetime. Scratch's is definitely top 3 for me. Huge brew selection, fair prices, great food, very comfortable atmosphere and it seems to be a magnet for very attractive women. Love the dart league
Parking: There are good number of spots in front of the location and then there is a huge shared parking lot with home Depot and del Taco that isn't being used by the other businesses later in the night and is never full in the day anyway.“

“Jake the security guard was awesome! I locked my key in my car and he stayed late with me after a show and got it out for me. I was really grateful as it was really late and live far. He noticed right away something was wrong though and kept an eye on me which is above and beyond so THANK YOU JAKE!!“

“We had a delightful brunch on a Sunday with no wait time. The Dublin Benedict was absolutely delicious. All the staff members were very friendly and welcoming. The only slight inconvenience was the limited beverage options for non-alcoholic drinkers. The restaurant does have a small parking lot, but street parking is also available.“

“We stopped by for a late breakfast and to watch some Sunday football. There was 4 of us. We had breakfast and lunch. The chila quila's were great, and the nachos was enough to share with 4. Beer was cold. They have plenty of tvs and a pool table. Is small but a great place to stop by. Will definitely be going back.“

“Good service and good food“
“Went for the first time last night as we are visiting from Las Vegas. We absolutely loved it. The service from both the servers and owner were subpar. The food and drinks were to die for, especially the food. We got to enjoy karaoke singing from the other patrons. The owner was extremely accommodating towards my service dog. He had a few questions which is normal but he said he had never had one in his establishment before us. Will definitely be back when we are in town ?? Lots of love from us! Thank you for making it a special night.“

“Very nice restaurant/bar on top of the 13 story Holiday Inn. We arrived late in the evening, the view of Long Beach was nice but I want to return to see the view with daylight. The wait staff and bartender were friendly and amusing. The food was pretty good, it surprised me. There was creativity displayed with the cooking to raise it above "standard fare" , I really liked the gumbo and the apple pie a la mode. The prices were a bit on the high side but I have no complaints with the quality of the dishes/cooking and the quantity of food was good as well. If I lived closer, it would be on my "go to" list when deciding where to dine out.“

“The food and service was great...atmosphere was ok...there were a lot of young people which is good but there were a handful of Cougars that should just retire...it's called the Rackhouse, your sagging racks should probably go to perqs or somewhere else...“

“Felicia, our waitress was fabulous! We had a party of 15, and she took care of us! The place, Glory Days, was absolutely fun and amazing everyone that came - loved the place. It was an amazing night! My sister- in- love is very picky about her food and she fell in love with her veggie dish! I was so happy with that. The food was great!!!! I know everyone will be coming back for more on their own.“
“Loved this hotel. Staff were courtesy, always helpful and the hotel (both in and outside) were being cleaned nonstop. The only downfall of this stay were the rude guests who were there and the nonstop partying they were having at the pool. My recommendation to the hotel: shift the pool hours from 10-10pm to 9am - 9pm. Quiet hours are supposed to start at 9pm, but when you have a pool open until 10pm, you invited unruly guests to stay there until 10pm. Staff tried to quiet them down, but to no avail. Again, not the fault of the hotel for having rude guests, but there is a solutions to prevent this from happening again. Future guests - do NOT stay at a ground level room next to the pool if are an early go to bed type of have young kids whose bedtime is at 730pm (like mine are). I recommend staying far away from the pool as possible just in case you have the same rude crowd I did during Labor Day weekend. I still give this hotel five stars though!!“

“I was here for a birthday party, due to this event all of the staff was assigned to this event from 5:00 pm to 7:30 dinner and the bar services wasn't being offered . Once services were back in full swing, the margaritas were margarotahs terrible . Hosting a party and while being open as a full bar was too much for them to handle, they can only do one or the other.“

“Been to this bar since it was Ferns then the Bird and now the hideout, I love how it looks now when it was Ferns it was smelly dirty they didn't keep up with the bar or restrooms seemed like homeless ppl were there all the time, they've changed it so much it seems bigger spacious smells clean it's organized well attented enjoy the DJ very much there's a good space to dance and hang out, alcohol prices are good they even have happy hour well worth it. “Fiddlers Green Pub on Joint Forces Training Base offers a delightful dining experience that transcends its modest decor. The warm and inviting atmosphere, coupled with exceptional service, creates a welcoming environment. While the decorations may not steal the spotlight, the diverse and delectable menu, particularly the heavenly chicken strips, takes center stage. The laid-back vibe and overall positive experience make Fiddlers Green Pub a standout destination. If you're seeking a place where excellent food and friendly ambiance trump aesthetic concerns, this pub is a must-visit on the base. Cheers to Fiddlers Green Pub for turning a simple meal into a memorable experience!“
