“This is definitely a dive bar, but with a friendly vibe. We usually go to see a friend's band play, so I can't speak to other nights.

The bartender also seems to be the owner (and only staff), but she's friendly and the prices for beer on tap are reasonable.

Despite having no bouncer, I've never seen any problems.

I think they serve a limited food menu, but I've never had any, so I can't speak to that.

We have fun when we go, and that's the most important thing.“

Instead of handing my black coffee that was already brewed in to the cup, she acted busy trying make hot food and handing over to customer that came after me. Looked back at me waiting my hand and did not care - not sure if she is racist. Other garls when i asked about my coffee, they had to brew fresh coffee again!! Some good people. Lot of other fast food. Free parking on weekends..“

“An amazing karaoke experience!

I came here with a group of friends, and we had an absolute blast. The private rooms were super clean, comfortable, and had great soundproofing — we could sing our hearts out without feeling self-conscious. The song selection was huge, with both English and Korean options (plus plenty of recent hits). The sound system was crisp, and the mics actually worked perfectly the whole night — which isn’t always the case at karaoke spots!

I mentioned to Gil that my only wish in this world was to go to the Super Bowl and to my absolute surprise, he bought me a ticket! I was stunned and so deeply moved. His kindness and generosity are truly rare and something I’ll never forget. The atmosphere at 840 Wine is warm and welcoming, the drinks are fantastic, and Gil’s heart is even bigger than the great wine selection. “Our go-to bar before heading to the Guild Theater. The bartender makes excellent drinks, and every cocktail we've tried has been well-balanced and delicious. It's a great spot to grab a drink before a show. Plus they play old movies with Audrey Hepburn.“

“We were weary travelers stopping by Scotty's in hope of a more chill vibe with some good food, and Scottys delivered! Our bartender, Sergio, was so friendly and fun! We got some inside knowledge about the town as we are from Oregon. The drinks were perfect and the food was top notch! I would have expected to pay a lot more for the quality of food and service we received at literally any of the surrounding places. We will visit Palo Alto again if only to go back to Scotty's as a new tradition! Thank you, Sergio, for making our anniversary dinner a great one! Someone give him a raise!“
