“Nice lounge and not too busy, at least on a Friday morning when I visited. Some alcoholic drinks are charged but there are decent options for free as well. They seem to have special meals from time to time and they had a bagel bar on the day I visited, which was quite nice. There’s a business area with printer which is quite convenient and the lounge is separated with the food area and the relaxing area, making it less noisy. The service was great and the staff super friendly.“

I mentioned to Gil that my only wish in this world was to go to the Super Bowl and to my absolute surprise, he bought me a ticket! I was stunned and so deeply moved. His kindness and generosity are truly rare and something I’ll never forget. The atmosphere at 840 Wine is warm and welcoming, the drinks are fantastic, and Gil’s heart is even bigger than the great wine selection. “Very nice, lots of seating, you can tuck into a quiet space, lots of food and beverage choice. Shower available to get a quick refresh. A bit of a find for the first time as it is tucked in the back behind another lounge. Just pay attention to the signs.“

The place is beautiful, calming, and has such a great vibe with relaxing music. The staff were amazing: very kind, welcoming, and truly hospitable. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating; I personally love sitting outside, but since it was raining, I chose to sit inside and still had a wonderful experience. “I’ve tried a lot of hookah spots around the Bay Area, but this place really stands out. The atmosphere is chill and comfortable, making it a perfect spot to relax and hang out. The staff go above and beyond to make sure everything is right, and you can tell they care about the experience.

The food was fresh and flavorful, and the hookah quality was top-tier—smooth, long-lasting, and well-prepared. Everything just felt consistent and well put together.

“Amazing and wonderful experience. It's 10/10! From the friendly valet to our server who went above and beyond to get us the best table with an incredible view, everything was exceptional. The food was delicious, we ordered the tiradito and guacamole, both were fantastic. We had a 3:30 pm reservation and arrived a bit early, but they graciously seated us right away. The sunset view was absolutely spectacular and breathtaking — perfect weather paired with a talented bagpiper who entertained us as we enjoyed the moment. My husband ordered Maverick's Sundae, and it was honestly the best ice cream I've ever had! Highly recommend!“

“I've been staying and working in South San Francisco this week without a car. Have dined there for lunch 2 days in a row now, and both days I also brought back dinner to my hotel for the evening. Everything has been delicious with fresh ingredients. Really creative and elevated offerings for a quick service restaurant. The salmon was especially amazing! I had 2 really dismal experiences earlier in the week with Doordash and only wish I had tried Foundry & Lux sooner. I'll be back tomorrow before heading back home on Saturday 😀“

“Was it expensive? Yes. Is it worth it? Yes. Treat yourself to impeccable service and quality ingredients prepared excellently. We got a perfect table at 630 and had a great view of the sunset. The wine choices were fantastic, shout out to Fredericco. Our meals were all very good, try the black cod with a side of whipped potatoes and asparagus. The 3 lamb chops came out and one was slightly over cooked beyond medium rare so the chef personally delivered a freshly cooked replacement. Our server Jared was phenomenal.“

“This rating is for their lunch buffet which is offered on Wednesday, Thursday, and Fridays. The food was good and fresh. The buffet menu changes daily. You can check the day before on their website on what they will be offering the next day. They had tempura squash, sautéed greenbeans, crispy pata, fried chicken, baked fish, tinola chicken soup, steamed rice, garlic rice, and pancit. Dessert it was only buko pandan. They also had pickled ampalaya (bittermelon) and a tomato onion salad. As for the atmosphere, the place was too dim for me. More like lighting for a night club,and it was lunch time. Wish it were brighter. Price is very good.“
