“Cafe Nur is a great Mediterranean spot in Los Altos! I came here for breakfast and tried their shakshuka — it was absolutely delicious, perfectly seasoned, and served fresh and hot. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere felt relaxed and welcoming. Definitely one of the best places around for a hearty, flavorful Mediterranean breakfast. Highly recommend it!“

“The vibes are pristine. The environment in the restaurant is bright, beautiful and genuinely welcoming. The food came relatively quickly, and every single item was fresh and genuinely made from scratch and with love. The hummus - and surprisingly given the restaurant’s name - was for me in many ways the star of the show. Every meat was cooked pretty impeccably.

I am personally not a fan of the positive of seasoning and salt. That underscores much of Mediterranean gastronomical persuasions, but respect the art enough to know that these guys will deliver. The servers were respectful and had a dutiful energy about them insofar as they seem to take pride and the commitment to good service. Was it the most excellent Mediterranean food I’ve ever had in my life? No. But if you’re in the area and you want a very memorable, aesthetic restaurant experience in a vibe-forward, sort of way, you have to pay them a visit.“

“I have to say, I’ve had quite a journey when it comes to my opinion of this place.

The fact of the matter is that I have found the following to hold true:

1. Redwood City is far away from everything
2. The parking situation is abysmal
3. There is never a table ready when you get there
4. The food is expensive

For these reasons I used to avoid going there- not because of the food quality but it wasn’t worth going there in lieu all these things.

That being said, their meat is great, the vibes are great, and their service is great. Their beef kofta is sublime, and I have to say their falafel isn’t too bad either. They also have a pretty good frozen date juice that I enjoyed.

If you don’t mind the 4 things I listed (I am personally starting to care less and less about them in lieu of the amazing food), definitely go. This is probably the best Arab food I’ve had in the Bay Area.“

This cafe has some of the best food I've tasted, the burgers are a decent size and cooked with great care and same goes for the sandwiches. “This place is great! Feels like authentic Israeli street food. The prices are very reasonable with good portion sizes. The food tastes so fresh and really delicious. We had the shawarma hummus plate, shnitzel pita, falafel, and fries. All were delicious and I'd recommend! The best of the bunch of definitely the shnitzel pita.

The only down side is it's all semi-outdoor picnic seating, however they have heaters up so it's not too cold to sit and enjoy your meal.“

“Seems like a pretty chill place. Walked in to order takeout and it was pretty empty; but we were able to order quite quickly. The menu is pretty easy to order from and all the options seem pretty good. After ordering the food came quite quickly and we were on our way.

The fries were pretty good; they had a nice seasoning on it and were warm and crisp. The wrap was good too, a lot of meat and vegetable in the wrap, and the sauce dip tasted pretty solid too. I think the wrap could be a big better with more sauce though hahaha“

“Had a wonderful, fresh breakfast and a nice dinner at the restaurant in The Westin in Palo Alto. The breakfast I chose was the bar which included eggs, bacon, potatoes, and French toast. Cereal, coffee, OJ, and toast was available as well a 8 varieties of fruit.For dinner, I started with the cheese plate and finished with the Soleil Burger with Gilroy fries. Long Islands were outstanding. The cheese plate was excellent and served with toast. The burger was cooked to perfection with bacon and cheddar.“

The clean, healthy, tasty, perfectly portioned sized, and masterly prepared dishes by Ali, and his friendly staff, keep me coming back. My new favorites are the lentil soup, and lamb shank (limited menu special). Satisfying food experience I highly recommend.“
