For those who like whole wheat bagels and toppings, the sesame wheat bagel is a fantastic option, though I also loved the pumpernickel/rye combo--took some of each to go for later in the week. This time (my second visit in 2 weeks) I had a bagel sandwich with omelette - #19 with avocado and all kinds of vegetable goodies, plus egg & cheese. Yum! I've had NY city bagels freshly made and while these aren't those, I can be happy eating these now. Love that it's not a chain. It's also great to see they're busy. “Very nice casual restaurant, that I visited while in Sunnyvale. I had the salmon, roasted potatoes, and asparagus. My food tasted fresh and flavorful. The atmosphere was clean and well lit. We will definitely come back when we are in town again.“

“Came in on a Friday night. There was only one other part there. There's only three tables inside (they are more for large groups). Seating is available outside. This is the first store I've been to where ordering is exclusively through the kiosk and drinks aren't self serve. I got the Chicken Cauli plate and I LOVED it! One of the dressings (romanesco) was in the process of being made and about halfway through the meal they brought it out. It was delicious! The Chicken Avocado Ranch Bowl was enjoyable as well.“

“I tried Seasons Noodle and Dumpling Garden, and this place definitely surprised me in a good way.

I’m not usually a noodle person. What I know about noodles is either the wok style ones I used to eat back home in Egypt or simple instant noodles at home. That said, this spot changed my perspective. The noodles here are handmade right in front of you, and you can really taste the difference. Fresh, well-textured, and done properly.

The place is very busy, which is usually a good sign, and overall the service moves fast. If you order a broth based noodle dish, it comes out quickly and is served hot, which is great. The issue comes when one person orders broth noodles and the other orders a non broth dish. Those take noticeably longer, and by the time they arrive, the broth dish is already cooling down. That takes away from the experience when you’re eating together.

Because of that timing gap, I’m taking one star off. The food quality is strong, and the handmade noodles are the highlight, but better coordination between dishes would really improve the experience.

Still, if you’re into fresh, handmade noodles, this place is worth trying. Just keep the order timing in mind.“

“So my son wanted to try the Pizza Skulls because he saw a video on social media. We ordered them and I decided to have a personal combination pizza. It was one of the best pizzas I've had in a very long time. The staff was very friendly and indeed they asked if we had seen the video online about the skulls.“

“My family and I just recently went to Sourdough and had a great experience. The staff were very welcoming and very patient with our group. The restaurant itself was very clean. Tables were brand new with cool designs. The atmosphere was also very respectful and peaceful.

Food was also very exceptional for the price. I had the grilled chicken sandwich. The meat was very tender and overall very good. Others in our group that are vegetarian were also very pleased with their meals. The Caprese sandwich and the ttomato bisque with the side of bread were very popular. The cookies though shouldn't be overlooked. They were very soft and delicious. If you come here you have to give the cookies a try.“

First time diner, long time consumer. I made a rookie mistake while ordering the vegetarian sandwich on sourdough. French or dutch crunch roll is recommended. Said I was open to suggestions. Then we added avocado, fresh jalapeno, tapatio, and a side of fries.

I ate half the fries and the smaller cut of the sandwich. I'm excited to be hungry again in about two hours.“

“What an amazing finding! We very much enjoyed the delicious empanadas from La Maja. The dough was crispy and perfectly baked. We tried different ones: Spinach, mushrooms, beef, ham and cheese. They were all outstandingly authentic and reminded us of our childhood back in Argentina! The place was clean, cozy and we felt very welcomed. Customer service is excellent! You don't want to miss this jewell in Redwood City downtown. We will definitely be coming and ordering back from La Maja.“

“I ordered my lunch from this place through Uber Eats, and the pork gyro was absolutely fantastic. It arrived hot and freshly made, with everything perfectly balanced — tender, well-seasoned meat wrapped in warm pita bread along with fresh tomatoes, onions, tzatziki, and fries. The portion size was just right — filling without feeling overly heavy. I really loved it and would definitely order again.

To finish the meal, I also tried their frozen yogurt with honey and baklava. The portion was a bit large for me, but the yogurt itself tasted genuinely like yogurt rather than being overly sweet or sugar-loaded. The addition of honey and baklava added a nice layer of flavor and richness. Next time, I might try the plain yogurt for a lighter option.

Update: went back for a gyro bowl. Very feeling and refreshing. Finished the meal with some Greek style donuts. They were warm and soft and very little on sweet, although soaked in syrup. A must try.“

“Overall pretty good food. We’ve had wings from here a few times and they’ve been pretty tasty. We’ve had a combination pizza recently and it was good for the price.
The orders are taken at the self serve machine. The interior is very canteen feeling, functional industrial design.
Food took a little while to come out I thought but it was good. There were a lot of pickup orders I saw while waiting.
It’s self clean up after you’re done.

“I was in town for work and followed the amazing reviews here for dinner one night. It was phenomenal! Highly recommend! This is just a takeout spot and inside the event center. But parking is easy, and by the time I drove over there for PU it was ready and packaged well. I’ll be back next time I’m in town.“

“Small interior at this Mendocino Farms location in Redwood City, as it seems the majority business is take-outs for the office workers in the vicinity. Easy ordering process, but service could be slow during the peak lunch hours. The three salads we tried were all pretty good, and just the right portions. Large free parking lot.“

“In July, I placed a large catering order through DoorDash for our company because we absolutely love Mendocino Farms. Unfortunately, the order was unexpectedly cancelled the night before our Board of Directors meeting, which was incredibly stressful.

Thankfully, General Manager Adam Rivera came to the rescue! He personally took my order the next morning and had everything prepared and ready to go within just three hours. His professionalism, responsiveness, and outstanding customer service completely turned the situation around—I went from stressed out to doing a happy dance!

On top of that, the food was fresh, delicious, and a huge hit with our team. A big thank you to Adam and Mendocino Farms team for going above and beyond—you truly saved the day!“
