One of the best sushi I’ve had in Southern California, small place not fancy at all but it is a recommended experience must try.
Best sushi I’ve had in a very long time. Highest quality, fresh, melt in your mouth sushi.
Excellent quality sushi - the fish is super fresh, the rice was perfectly cooked, and the overall quality is very high. Very large selection of sushi as well. Highly recommend!!

Matsumoto offers the best sushi experience, with diverse options for nigiri and the best omakase in town. The Kamasu, kohada, and tai are favorites, while the soft abalone is something not found anywhere else. Over 40 different types of seasonal fish are served everyday, including fresh octopus, sea perch, uni, golden eye snapper, giant clam, and firefly squid. The chef makes the experience extra special, sharing information about the fish and showing genuine love for the craft. Service is impeccable, with a polite and friendly chef and staff. It is a true hidden gem in K-town, with easy parking and not hard to book. The food and price are totally worth the value. Every single bite is perfect, and the quality, service, and attention to detail are at a high level. It is the closest to feeling like a high end sushi place in Japan.
