They didn’t but ownership was so kind and empathetic that they handed over a fresh and delicious piece of tomato focaccia for my troubles. That’s what’s called unreasonable hospitality. “I was in LA a couple of weeks ago on business and found this spot the day before leaving and that's my biggest regret. Wish we'd found it the first day we we're there I'd have been eating there everyday. The food and atmosphere are excellent and a live DJ playing music we all grew up on (can you dig it ✊?). “We normally get ancy waiting for food, but this was worth every minute! The meats were fall off the bone, the chicken was juicy and thr goat curry was an explosion of flavor! We will be coming back everytime were in town! The staff were friendly, and the vibes were homely!“
“Our family of 5--parents + kids 22, 19 and 13--had Fatburger on our "must do" list for LA. We wanted to eat inside, but they were only serving through the drive-thru so...drive-thru it was. The wife and I don't eat beef so we each got the Fatburger w/Impossible patty. The kids got the Classic Fatburger. Fries all around of course. The car was filled with smacks, slurps and mmmms. Good burgers! Now the fries could have used more seasoning but the burgers were slappin'!“

“I checked out Charlie's Fish N Chips. Got the Red Snapper and Shrimp combo, both deep fried. Came with Fries, a dinner roll and a salad. The Fish and Shrimp were hittin', the Fries weren't hot. Staff was cool and efficient. I would go here again 100.“

“I stumbled across “nugtown” for late food in the area and was pleasantly surprised! Not only was the food made fresh to order - I literally watched him batter and fry them - the owner was the sweetest human who genuinely cared about his services. He even threw in every sauce (which are bomb btw) so we could try and report back. I brought them home to my boyfriend and he couldn’t stop telling people that we found a new go-to spot! Wishing Nugtown the utmost success!! ?

“Got to sample the food when they were a vendor at the Afro-Latinx festival event at the MOLAA earlier this year. As I trying to determine which food vendor to support as I wanted to sample food that was reflective of the event. He didn’t have his menu prominently available so I had to asked him what he was selling, he said the magic word oxtail and I was sold. Food was delicious and there sadly was no leftovers, as I scraped it clean. Not the cheapest but the food was tasty to justify, as well as the drink/juice. Definitely would recommend and would want to try the other dishes.“

“Smothered pork and fried chicken breast is one of my favorite food here. Service is fast and friendly. It has been always been one of my favorite spot for lunch. Only one things that i don't like about is wait time, Otherwise this place is simply great!“

“Delicious fried chicken, waffles and sweet syrup. I'm picky about fried chicken, but this was great. Their French fries are excellent, lightly crispy, still soft inside. And I feel safe in the restaurant with 20+ security cameras and a guard near the entrance.“

“Ok, the bar is beyond slow but when your drinks arrive they will hit you like three punches to the face. People, atmosphere, the game on point. Delicious $2 fried chicken and red beans and rice. ...gets me here every Monday and Thursday. Did I mention the open mic night or the live Jazz? The Spot for pretty girls on a budget that like to get their groove on.“
