“What's better late night snack than Ave 26 tacos? It's located in a parking lot, and we pulled in around 10pm on a Sunday night. People from all colors and all walks of life seem to converge here in search of scrumptious bites. There's a security guard that patrols the area so you could enjoy your chow without hesitation. It's standing room only, no utensils or sitting area provided. We decided to eat in the car as it's a bit chilly that night. There's also a portable water station to wash hands before or after you dig in.
There's a separate line for tacos or burritos or drinks, pay in cash or Apple/ Samsung Pay. Simple and orderly. Then, head over to the condiments section for different types of salsa, chopped onions or lime. The Al Pastor, Carne Asada, Cabeza and Lengua are usually my go to, but there're also brisket, pork belly, chorizo to choose from.“

“One of the best taco spots in town.
Great food , the carnitas are just perfect.
And the quesadilla have plenty of cheese and meat!
The burritos look big enough to feed three people
The staff are friendly and helpful.
Seems like a family run spot which is great to see.
They have tables and seats to eat there, but is also great if you need to grab something quickly.
Unbeatable prices!
Will definitely be back multiple times!“

“I had suuuuch high hopes for this place. Don't get me wrong, the tacos were very tasty, just soooo greasy!! My asada taco grease got all over. I mean, it didn't stop me from eating most of my food 😬🤣.... but the grease floating on my plate was a lil bit of a disappointment. 😩 Hubby's tacos were REALLY GOOD, no grease so maybe it was a bad asada night. I'LL BE BACK though.... to giver her another try.“

“Just perfect food. Marinated and seasoned to perfection , the steak quesadilla rocked my socks. If it were socially acceptable I would bathe in their toum , but instead I’ll just put it in everything. The shrimp taco is better than even guisados. And the papas - stellar. The hype is real. Tried nearly everything and everything is so well thought out and just so flavorful. An absolute must. Rivals even the most authentic taco spots in Los Angeles. Lunch, Dinner, heck even breakfast. EAT HERE.“

“What a Lovely surprise ! We saw it on the way and decided to stop by. The team mostly composed by female chefs was very kind and helpful and the food they make is just delicious. The fries were one of the best fries I’ve had in LA and topped with cheese and Birria it was just heaven 👌“

“I’ve been laid up recovering from a major surgery recently. So I’ve been making a point to order from a lot of the local restaurants. Mexican food is my comfort food go to so I’ve been hitting up all of the locals.
I ordered the posole and the albondigas soup.
Albondigas: the broth was thicker and richer than a lot of others. It was generously filled with the meatballs and plenty of vegetables. You get a large container and it’s absolutely delicious.
Posole: again, the broth was very thick and Rich. They might thicken it with tortilla chips, which is a common thing, but the flavors are there. Large chunks of slow cooked pork. Very good lean chunks that are fall apart tender. No grizzly bits or extra extraneous fat. Was absolutely a pleasure to eat and hit every single spot.
Overall, this place is a fantastic little gem. The homemade flour tortillas just add an extra little delight to the entire meal. I couldn’t be happier than to have this place in my backyard. If you’re considering going, it’s gonna be very hard to find something you don’t like about their food“

“This was our first time at Tacos Villa Corona and it was great. It is a small place and most get take away. That is what we did. The place inside is clean and just cute. I love the way they have art on the menu on their wall. It is family owned and a lot of the recipes are from the owners mom. She loved to cook.
We had the best breakfast burrito. It is called Papa Steak and we also had the best chicken quesadilla. Their chips are great and we had rice on the side. We got it all to go and ate in the car and listened to music. We had a great time.
This is a real gem that we had not heard of before and boy it does not disappoint. Beware the salsa, it is great, but what we had was way too hot for me.
Their hours are odd, so call to make sure they are open. They run out of food.
You will love this place. We do.“

“They are the best tacos I've ever had at a good price, and the tortillas are handmade $1.50. The meat is very tasty and don't tell me the al pastor ones are good. I've bought these tacos since day one, they hardly had people, but now what happened here they are full of people that means they are progressing congratulations for the boys,,,,,,, The tacos are very good“

“Hands down one of the best, most consistent tacos trucks in LA! The suadero is insanely good and the salsas are as abundant as they are tasty. 😋 My friend got a burrito that changed his life. 🤣 The best late night treat that never gets old. Great people, great service. ¡¡Gracias 🙏🏽 por todo!! 🌮 🌯“

“I've been coming to this establishment since I was about 6-7 years old I'm 34 now and this place hasn't changed much besides the price and it's not much more than before. Quality will never change, flavor will always be amazing, and the customer service beyond excellent. There's always a line but trust me when I tell you it's always worth the freaking wait. I will not post the tacos because I rather keep them a surprise for yourself. Trust me when I said one is MORE than enough. Save room for dessert or something else at another nearby stand/establishment. Birria, carnitas and cabeza are my absolute go-to options. Always pairs perfectly with a nice cold beer or a refreshing aqua fresca.“
“THE BEST IN MY LIFE!Yall made me miss my haircut appointment bc I had to turn my truck around to tell yall how AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS your tacos were!!! The QuesaBirria Tacos were too good to not acknowledge ASAP. I'm following, and I recommend everyone do so also. You WILL want to know when they're in town!“

“Delicious and reasonably priced. We got a large burrito with chicken, a large quesadilla with pastor meat and a large strawberry lemonade. Excellent. Our cost was 29 dollars including tax. They have complementary chips and a fixing bar for salsas and toppings.“

“My experience with Upper West was fabulous. From making the reservation, changing the reservation and handling of an additional person last minute to our reservation for 12, was done with great ease. The food was delicious. The service was stupendous. It was a fun time had by all. I would certainly recommend it for a large gathering or to sit at the bar by yourself, and anything in between.“

“love simon. recently the quality has decreased a bit, with twice getting soggy oily tacos that just dont have the care put into them that they used to. the new digital ordering tablet is really bad. i also wish they would put their salsas into to-go cups for you so it would be cleaner than a communal station. four stars because they used to be my favorite truck in la and i know what they’re capable of!“

“Their flour tortillas are made fresh on the spot and have a soft chewiness you rarely find in LA. I tried the carne asada burrito and was blown away by the grilled meat and spicy salsas. The outdoor setup is casual—just picnic tables and an awning—but it gets crowded fast. Staff is fast and friendly. It’s hard to go anywhere else once you’ve had their tortillas“

“Was driving home when I came across this place. It was empty which is good to me lol. I ordered some tacos Al vapor and some quesa tacos. They were really good . I loved how they’re not stingy with their meat . They added a good amount of meat to the tacos .oh and your order comes with a small cup with consomé …. I’m not a fan of Mexican horchata but this one was actually really pretty good. The lady taking our order was really nice and very attentive which is a plus to me. Definitely will be coming here again . FYI , they sale the whole beef head …“

“Update: This Taco stand is no longer in this location and we are very very sad.
Oooooooh baby! Hands down these are the best tacos in the area! I did get broken tortillas but all the meats are all so well seasoned and cooked literally 10/10. Also their sauce game is on fire literally and figuratively.“

“I hope this place is in business forever. I’ve been coming here since I was a kid. When I come visit my parents this is the only place I absolutely have to visit. The cockteles are
filled with seafood and done just right. I like that you can customize it with ketchup (why?!) and salsa (they have two types on the table: huichol and tapatio. Enough said!). There’s usually two older ladies in the back cooking. I wish they were my tias.“

“When I worked in downtown, our office would often order lunch from the now closed 6th Street location but I had eaten at and still do check out the still open food court spot at 7th and Fig. The one nice thing about that particular location is the option to eat in the courtyard. But the interior food court is clean, well-laid out and pleasant enough for lunch.
The food is uniformly good and prepared to order. A much better spot than any Chipotle.
Vegetarian options: Limited as with most places that cater to meat eaters but plenty for your vegetarian in a group. However, there are better options for the single or small group (2-3 people).
Dietary restrictions: They prepare to order so easy to ask them to minimize spice or cilantro or otherwise handle the simple stuff.
Parking: While not a destination, for people visiting the convention center or former Staples arena, who want to grab a bite AND avoid the overpriced tourist traps at LA Live, this is a good option.
Kid-friendliness: Very
Wheelchair accessibility: Very, although elevator is slow and for people with walkers or canes, the escalators have been down of late.“

“I feel passionate about this one - people are sleeping on Ricos Tacos Naomi! First of all, the tortillas are made by hand. That’s enough to set this place apart from the tens of other tacos spots using low-quality tortillas. The tortilla should not be an after thought, folks! Second, the meats are delicious. Their al pastor is juicy and well-seasoned. I am a sucker for tripa but I’m always hesitant to order it because some people don’t know how to clean it and cook it. The tripa at Ricos Tacos Naomi is fantastic! You can ask the guy to crisp it up if you want it crunchy, but personally, I like it soft. And third, the toppings (salsas and guacamole) are yummy!“

“Great spot. Great tacos. Also, the folks who work at Tocaya are wonderful. They're on it — excellent service and atmosphere. Josh (the manager) runs a very smooth operation and Ana who works front of house is also incredibly warm, helpful, and efficient. Thanks for always taking great care of us!“

“We ordered a bean and cheese burrito, tacos de asada, and torta de asada and everything was really good. Plates were well portioned. Service was amazing and attentive. Sauces were tasty and mild. They have small tables and chairs on the sidewalk and it’s a relatively chill location. Definitely coming back.“
