“My all-time favorite watering hole in not just downtown Los Gatos, but the South Bay. I grew up in the area and I make it a point to always stop in for a small pitcher of Kamikaze’s!! Despite a lot of changes in Ole Town Los Gatos over the last 40+ years, the Black Watch is still a staple and I highly recommend stopping in for great service, welcoming and traditional atmosphere and of course, awesome beverages. “This is definitely a dive bar, but with a friendly vibe. We usually go to see a friend's band play, so I can't speak to other nights.

The bartender also seems to be the owner (and only staff), but she's friendly and the prices for beer on tap are reasonable.

Despite having no bouncer, I've never seen any problems.

I think they serve a limited food menu, but I've never had any, so I can't speak to that.

Best in all nay area, and 4-6 different flavors such as guava made with rum and spicy mango made with tequila. Only 2 shots for $6! I got a buzz off 4, and had to Uber home!!!!“

“Stopped in Friday and the BBQ Chicken was great. The baked potato had sour cream a butter. The beans were very tasty. The price was great and so was the service. I'm going to come back and try the breakfast and might add a bloody Mary. Nice bartender.“

“Been hitting Normandy House a few weeks while on a temp gig in Santa Clara—in from cowboy country where a solid where a still shot is sometimes mandatory after a long day.

The Pareto thing always cracks me up: 20% of people do 80% of the work, and 80% of the gripes come from the other 20% like some clown reviews here. But everybody here has been super cool to this out-of-towner.

Trin especially—she makes a killer Long Island, best around and always keeps things chill.

“Great place to grab a drink whether you’re gay straight or bi. The drinks aren’t that pricey as some would have you believe the bar tenders are nice and respectful they are also very welcoming. Overall great experience I go here often when I need a drink and a sense of community.“
