“It's rare that I leave reviews but Caliwala is SO good that I just have to. The chefs Kyle and Erin are awesome. I attended a yoga retreat close by and it was catered by them. All the food was delicious... the best I've ever had. On my way home, I picked up a vegan sandwich and it was out of this world amazing. If I lived closer, I'd be there everyday!“

“Now open for dinner on Friday and Saturday! We’ve eaten both breakfast and lunch here many times and it never disappoints. They now have 2 patios—the new one in front is a positive addition, and the original one is still lovely with all the garden plants. Good variety on the menu, kids menu, wine and wine cocktails as well.“

“Hidden kitchen is the most amazing place. You'll come to on the Central Coast. They have an absolute jam in the blue corn Waffle. They make special waffles every couple months. Today it was peaches and cream and Halloween. They'll give you marshmallow chocolate, drizzle, Waffle. And then they have that candy bacon. That is absolutely amazing. Their mannex, machaca, tacos, incredible. If you get a couple of those, you're going to be in hog heaven. If you come to Cayucos, you must Go to hidden kitchen if you're anywhere near. You must come to hidden kitchen and their smoothies are huge and chock full of delicious fruits do not miss this place.“

“Nice place but... We visited this beautiful restaurant on July 30th For drinks and appetizers. We sat outside on the patio and it was lovely, the food was delicious and the wine very enjoyable. We recognized that we were seated at the table for about 2 1/2 - 3 hours so we continued to order appetizers and dessert while we were enjoying our wine and we also planned on leaving a generous tip. Toward the end of our stay as we were ordering our final glass of wine and dessert and were told by the waitress that she could not serve us anymore alcohol and and it has something to do with the ABC but she could not explain exactly what the issue was. Being in my 60's and never being denied service in my entire life, I was quite taken aback. We were served the dessert but no more alcohol. We paid our bill and walked down the street to another establishment where we continued to have our final glass of wine and watch the sunset and then walk back to the hotel. I'm still baffled by what occurred.“

“We ate brunch on the sidewalk with our pup! Tofu scrambled had potatoes and a great sauce with homemade tortillas! Jack fruit tacos and tempeh Reuben were also excellent- husband says tempeh was “buttery” and great texture! Highly recommend“

“Thai Lotus’ fresh Buddha Rolls are to die for! The Tom Yum Soup that I get with chicken is the hot and sour soup perfect for a rainy day, or if you’re down in the weather, and of course, anytime. I love, love their Pad Thai because they use rice noodles and the sauce is delicious! So grateful they are here in Los Osos for takeout!“

“On a day date with my husband, we set off in search of coffee and we stumbled across Lunada. It opened up just as we walked across their front porch. We decided to have a glass of wine or cocktail before moving on.
After seeing the menu, my husband decided we were staying for fillets. I am so glad we did. The mixed drinks were fantastic and the filets, absolute perfection.
The atmosphere was one that offers a sophisticated dining experience high-quality service, but without the formality and strictness associated with fine dining. It is definitely a place where you can relax and enjoy a delicious meal without feeling a rigid formality you might in other places.
We decided to sit in the garden and it was peaceful and relaxing. There is also indoor seating if that’s more your pace. Or if the weather is not cooperative.
The weight staff was friendly and welcoming.
Would definitely recommend two friends and family in the area and we will be back!“

“We just happened to be staying in town on Valentine’s Day and they had a special set menu. Ohhh so good, we got the scallops, salad and desert. I could literally live on the salad. The risotto was so good! We ate upstairs and it was really cozy with the heaters and the nighttime atmosphere. The bar was lively and fun, our service was a bit slow but everything is so fresh! I can understand it is made to order. My only complaint, I’m so sorry but, I am a spicy Bloody Mary “snob” and the one here was not good at all. But that’s it! We loved everything else. Now to the owners who reply to reviews, I would have come here with all 1 star reviews just from reading your replies!!! Whoever you are I spent an hour reading reviews and your priceless replies! I adore you 😂 But honestly, really good food and very fun and great atmosphere. Back sooner than later♥️“

“We had a wonderful time celebrating my husband's birthday here! The entire evening was a success, and the food was incredibly tasty. We highly recommend the Brussels sprouts appetizer, followed by the delicious steak and scallops. Finishing with the beignet for dessert was the perfect end. Our waitress was also very attentive and made the experience smooth and enjoyable. We highly recommend this spot!“

“The seafood pasta was so good. I wasn't expecting it to be like a soup, but I have zero complaints. Copious amounts of clams, shrimp, and fish. The noodles were perfectly cooked. It was fantastic. Service was very good as well. Welcoming and warm atmosphere. Waitress was very attentive and nice. Dined in the evening of the 12th of Sep.“

“Surprisingly authentic and well-made Chinese food -- I was expecting this to be a very Americanized Chinese restaurant given the selections on the menu, and was very surprised by what we got. Highlights included the Orange Chicken (which has a flavor profile similar to a traditional sweet and sour spare ribs) and the Mapo Tofu (which actually has some mala in it!).“
