My bagel was 4/5 - I wish it had pickled onions instead of the raw ones and a better dressing for the salad - it was bland. The bagel was tender and the amount of smoked salmon was right. “Staying at the marriot next door. Breakfast at the hotel was insanely expensive $30 for standard buffet style Continental breakfast. My wife and I looked for another option and found this place next door inside an office building lobby. We ordered our food and two horchata lattes and paid $30. Our food was delicious and piping hot freshly made. The service was outstanding despite being busy with the lunch rush. The dining area was comfortable and clean. The music was loud but it was nice after a bit to not hear every table's conversation melding together. As we ate we looked over the menu for our next visit. Highly recommend the breakfast sandwich, my wife said it was just like home but better. I had the American breakfast with the French toast with all the fruit and toppings. I didn't even need the syrup they brought to the table.“

“Had a great experience checking out the new Popping Yolk Cafe location on Melrose. The space is bright, modern, and has a really nice atmosphere for brunch.

I tried the Norwegian Eggs Benedict, Cinnamon Apple French Toast, and Bacon and Cheese Sandwich. Everything was fresh and flavorful, but the Eggs Benedict was definitely one of my favorites. The French toast was also really good and had the perfect amount of sweetness.

For drinks, I had the Potted Plant Coffee, which was really unique and fun, along with the Mango Iced Green Tea, which was super refreshing.

The portions were good, everything came out looking great, and I really enjoyed the overall experience. Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for a new breakfast or brunch spot around Melrose.“

“Great brunch spot! I really like their Denver omelette! It had plenty of bacon, cheese and mushroom, and the roasted potatoes were fresh and crispy. The chai latte was a bit diluted, not the strongest flavor but still good. Service is quick!“

“Enjoyed sitting outdoors with my daughter and two granddaughters after their Kaiser appointments. I had a very tasty Turkey Club sandwich with waffle fries, while my daughter enjoyed a great omelette and her kids had mini-Belgian waffles with sprinkles. Just Perfect!!“

“First time going to this tiny spot. It shares the location with a few other businesses in a very trendy outdoor location. The moment you walk inside the quad it smells amazing in there! They have a tent set up and almost a taco stand like feel. The service was very good and the food even better! I ordered the carne asada breakfast burrito and it tasted amazing!! Strongly recommend and will be back the next time I'm in the area!“

“This is a great spot for breakfast. They open at 9 a.m., so if you go early on a weekend, you get a leisurely start to your day, before the Farmers Market/Grove area gets too crowded.

The food is always great. Highly recommend the french toast (super moist and nicely custardy in the middle), hotcakes, and corned beef hash. The eggs are super tasty too. Everything’s never too greasy or dry. Prices are reasonable, by L.A. standards. And the service is consistently friendly. It’s open seating in the farmers market area; you order at their counter and pick up your food when your name is called.

Just be aware that if you park in The Grove garage, you have two hours free with validation at the Monsieur Marcel french market at the other end of the Farmers Market. One minute over and you pay a whopping $20 for parking, or more if you linger!“
