“Edit: After ordering again several times, they’ve become more consistent. Our order was incomplete on UberEats. They did not add tofu to our mixed vegetables like we had specified, and our vegetable tempura was very overly salty. I will most likely not order from here again however it is one of the very few restaurants that deliver to Plumas Lake via UberEats.
I would highly suggest trying the vegetable tempura with less salt.“

“This has been our new favorite spot for Chinese food since we moved to Plumas Lake. The food is delicious, fair prices, great portions, and the workers are SO nice! We picked up dinner here tonight and our exchange student said it was just like in Hong Kong and made him feel like he was back home 🥹❤️ He can’t wait to go back. If that’s not a 5 star review from someone from China, I don’t know what is 🤷🏻‍♀️“

“We were trying to find a place to eat on Christmas day. Sizzler was one of the few open on the holiday. We were a little confused when we gotten up to the counter to order before we even got to our seat. We ended up forgetting to add the salad with our dinners. Our waitress Lore was amazing and helped us to add it to our meals without more heartache! She was very attentive and kept coming back to check on us throughout our meal! The dinner was delicious and the lobster and steak was amazing! Loved the salad bar and the taco bar was off the hook! Great job Lore and Sizzler keep up the great work! Will be back again soon!“

“Its not what It used to be. The Hushpuppies are always good. Not very good comunication from counterperson. Specifxally asked for grilled fish tacos. Only to be told after we paid they didnt have grilled. They were out. Tried the battered and not so good. The counterperson said it would of been easier if we would of asked for grilled to begin with and we had. But anyways. There is a reason why there are so few left.“

“Delicious! Perfectly spiced. Went for lunch with a friend on Sunday. Indian food is not my first thought but my usual spots are closed on Sundays. The staff was attentive and lovely. We ordered an entree with rice, Indian flatbread, and one other appetizer plus wine and two Indian beers. The total was only $50.00. Great price for such thoughtfully prepared cuisine.“

“During a recent visit to Council Oaks Steaks and Seafood at the Hard Rock Casino, I enjoyed a variety of dishes, including ribeye, salmon, oysters, Brussels sprouts, mashed potatoes, and broccoli, along with a non-alcoholic berry drink.

The Brussels sprouts were the standout dish perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The virgin berry drink was exceptional, easily one of the best non-alcoholic beverages I’ve had, refreshing and delicious. The ribeye was cooked well and satisfying, and the oysters were fresh. The mashed potatoes and broccoli complemented the meal nicely.

However, the salmon was overcooked, with both the top and bottom burnt, which was disappointing given how simple it is to cook properly.

Service was polite but could use some improvement. When our appetizer of oysters was brought out, nobody came to clear the dish. The large oyster platter occupied most of the table, making it difficult to navigate space for our main courses. It wasn’t picked up until nearly the end of the meal, which was a bit disappointing considering there were only three tables dining that night. Additionally, some requested condiments were not brought, and follow-up check-ins after food was served were minimal. A bit more attentiveness would elevate the overall experience.

Price-wise, the steaks are reasonably priced, with meals around $275 including tax, which is fair for a high-end steakhouse. Council Oaks offers excellent flavors, especially for vegetable and drink enthusiasts, with potential for an even better experience with small improvements to service and kitchen execution.“
