“Hidden semi hole in the wall taco spot. Located in a large plaza with plenty of free self parking. The restaurant is clean and the staff is friendly. You can see them preparing all the ingredients as well as tacos cuesadillas, and burritos. There are a few indoor tables and seating. There's also a small salsa bar.
The menu is limited and straight forward. Basically choose the type of meat you prefer.
This is not fast food. It takes time to prepare fresh food made to order.
Tried the shrimp vampiros. It's kind of like a tostada so best to eat that first since the shell will fall apart if you eat your tacos or burritos first. It's very yummy!
Also tried the chicken taco. It was ok...nothing special about it.
Definitely get the free onion and jalapeno.
The salsa bar has your
typical tomatoes, onions, limes, etc. but it would've been nice if they had cilantro
There's also two containers with free beans so make sure to grab some.
Prices are a bit high for the tacos at $3.25. The vampiro is priced right at $4.15
Portions are a bit small but they make up for it with the free beans and salsa bar.
If you're in the area, it's worth a try. There are better Taco spots elsewhere, imo.“

“Excellent taco spot in Costa Mesa. The atmosphere is great and they have delicious food. The poke nachos were a stand out item and I especially loved the ribeye taco. Worth checking out!

“Consistently delicious. Best fish tacos ever, crispy but soft inside, and so well served! I can eat the fish tacos all day, but if you ever crave something else- the tacos dorados are also delicious- beans, requeson or potato- all so good! The ceviche has also become a go-to part of my order. Lastly, the service is always top tier- everyone is so nice and incredibly helpful!“

As someone who is a lover of food, and will travel for it, id like to think my standards are high. Being from San Diego - there is a huge discrepancy once you leave the city to OC and LA for mexican food. Tacos Los Cholos is the exception. This is the best mexican spot in OC that ive had in my 10 years of being here (RIP Taco Maria - but this was a different experience).
Whatever I have had here, its been stellar. From basic meats, to premium cuts, the splurge is worth it. Burritos are the perfect blend of ingredients, and no filler needed. The tacos have plenty of meat - even find myself making one into two (double tortillas on them).
Even the secondary details - Salsa's and Chiles Güeros (the chili's on the side with every order). Salsa's have a range of spice and diversity that anyone can enjoy because they are all flavorful. Chiles Güeros are fire roasted with a little salt on them - man what a detail that I have never appreciated till here.
This place will be on the permanent (likely weekly) rotation for me - all locations.“

“amazing tacos for $3. carne asada and al pastor are stand out favorites. sometimes, we eat here more than once a week and drive about 20 minutes. cannot beat the atmosphere as there's margaritas, churros, aguas frescas, and all the pairings you can imagine right there in the market. don't let the long line scare you, it moves quick!“

“Been coming here for years since i was a little girl where they first began on the corner off civic center & fairview , now located on Bristol & first street behind a shopping center , it’s amazing how i got close to the owner as now knows my husband and I and the lovely ladys as well , they already know us by the usual we always get !! Which are the Street Hot Dogs as we toss in some green salsa and it hits the spot !! Especially homemade avena for the cold weather!! “I love Oscars, quality food and ingredients. Oscar is always super friendly and I love seeing his family hanging out. He’s there from early morning until late night and greets everyone with a smile and welcoming attitude. I am from San Diego and this restaurant reminds me of a lot of the Mexican restaurants down south. The food is very authentic and I love their salsa bar! The Cali burrito is delicious. Their breakfast burritos are delicious and affordable.“

They have a nice assortment of drinks along with a nice selection of meats. Their meats are well cooked and seasoned so deliciously.
I can only eat chicken and am often disappointed with chicken tacos since they often lack flavor or are cooked poorly but this place is far from a disappointment. I love coming here time and time again.
There aren't any tables just chairs to sit at. You can also order your plate to go. You can also call to place your order in advance.“

Taco meat is never dry or lacking flavor, salsas are dynamite, and they're tortillas are always crunchy and soft at the same time if that makes sense, if it doesn't, then find out by trying this amazing mobile establishment. “I just turned 62 and I wanted real Mexican food 🥘 I live in Vegas so I invited my family members and we ate lots of awesome salsa and chips !!!!!! “What can I say about Jack in the Box? It is one of the best hamburger chains around. In my opinion, it is far superior to McDonald's or Burger King. I first ate at a Jack in the Box when I transferred to San Diego, CA in 1980. Jack in the Box was just on the West Coast in those year, but I had heard about it even while living back east. It was love at first bite for their hamburgers and fries! The menu has expanded quite a bit over the years and it is still great food at very reasonable prices. Love their numerous breakfast options (available any time), burgers, curly fries, and their unique tacos. In addition to the West Coast states, Jack in the Box now has locations in Colorado, the Southwest and select locations in the Southeast and Midwest. I hope it expands more in the future. The entire USA deserves Jack in the Box. I am lucky to live in a city covered by many Jack in the Box restaurants.“
