The young proprietor had us sample all three enchilada sauces since we were unsure about which ones to pick. All three were delicious, but the the mole sauce was one of the best I had ever tasted. “Owner is very nice service is great! 7 hours later I’m not sick. I love tacos and I am in a mission finding good tacos in San Mateo county but this is not it. I’m so sorry. I think the reason most people like it and this has good reviews is just because they’re so starving waiting at DMV I am a very honest reviewer. Here are my reasons why…

- the meat taste spoiled

“Los Metates has a decent taco salad $16. It tasted fine but it felt small. It is missing key ingredients like pico del gallo. Pico del gallo (tomatoes and onions) would have made this salad 2x better as it blends well with iceberg lettuce and gives is more flavor. It comes with free chips and two condiment cups of salsa. Both sauce cups were spicy. Service was quick as I was the customer at 6:30pm. One weird thing, the menu on the wall with the photos, some items don't have prices on them. For example, Quesabirria tacos are $8 each. I don't like restaurants where they don't put prices on their menu.“

“Delicious Al pastor tacos! Tried it with their red hot salsa and it’s the best taco I’ve had recently. Super flavorful with add your own condiments and fast service.

I’ve also tried other items here, but the Al pastor is the highlight. Would definitely recommend to try it.“

Then I drove from Oakley to San Mateo to have them fresh. It was AMAZING! They provide extra stuff to add to the tacos, but it honestly didn’t need them. The meat was so tender & flavorful that I had to close my eyes so I could fully appreciate the taste. Then I added the extras one by one & it tasted like a new taco each time. I know it seems like I’m exaggerating, but it’s really that good! My only wish is that they had seating nearby & a second location closer to Oakley.“

“HOLY COW!! This taco truck is fantastic. Ate here 5 times and everytime hit harder than the last. The ladies running it are super nice and helpful. The tacos are so tasty (may need a little more meat) and made to perfection. The gordita is a force to be reckoned with, bursting with flavor and so worth its weight in gold. All around great food truck... can of diet coke $4 was the only meh moment for me.“

“This may be our new favorite spot. Easier for us to get to. We've tried the Super Prawn Burrito and carne asada super nachos. I recommend both. The chips have the perfect crunch/crisp. Salsas are all great too. I was too hungry so no photos this time. Will definitely be back.“

The cashier/server was very hospitable and friendly, always had a big smile and felt like he was welcoming us into his house. Pro tip: ask them to not cook the meat or tortillas with oil and ask for extra lime.“

I have seen many locations across the bay area.

Food: Most of the foods are grilled or fried. All of them are tasty and fresh. Many fish choices, sauces, and sites to choose from. My favorite sauces are garlic butter and Cajun. The fish and chips are very good with tartar sauce. The grilled sea bass fish are very flavorful and would recommend having sauce on the side.

Price: very reasonable price for portions of food.“

“Went for a hike down the road in the nature preserve and on my way driving up I saw this taco truck. Decided to grab some tacos on the way out and this place did not disappoint!!! The service was warm and friendly and the carnitas tacos were delicious. It was quite busy on a weekday at lunch which is a good sign. Cash/venmo/zelle only. $13 for 3 tacos and a drink.
