“The food is second to none!“

“We were very hungry, ordered delivery. I didn't know they delivered. The pepperoni pizza was good, good taste, good crust. The antipasto salad was good, although not really an antipasto. I ordered the meatballs and thought they were great. They came in a dish with marinara, onions, green peppers. The marinara was very flavorful. I put the garlic bread to good use by thoroughly cleaning the dish to get all the marinara. Less expensive Than ordering from Domino's, and much MUCH better. We've always like this place.“

“Went here on a Monday for dinner with a friend and omg!! I was blown away by this little hole in the wall. The food was super delicious, and the portions were very generous for the price. I would definitely recommend to anyone, a very authentic Italian restaurant. The entire menu sounded delicious! Our waiter William was very attentive and very friendly and caring. “Absolutely love this place. The food was excellent! For appetizers we had the meatballs and bruschetta. For the main dishes we had the vongole, chicken Parmigiano, kids' spaghetti and meatballs and kids' chicken fettuccine Alfredo. For dessert we had the cheesecake. Everything was so delicious! In addition, the staff Ronie and Santos were so kind, professional, friendly and attentive. Thank you for making this experience phenomenal.“

“I haven’t been here but as I was drinking a very nice bottle of Italian wine I read the label to find out more. I saw that it was imported by D’Aquino. I looked them up online, always eager to find a good import company dealing with Italy. I wondered why they have such a low review score. As a business owner who has been robbed and vandalized multiple times - even held up at gun point to be robbed - I stand behind them 100% for being vigilant. I also look forward to visiting their place of business next time I am out that way . Thanks to Andrea the local guide for doing what you do. It did take away to get our order taken, I don't think we were assigned a waiter, but then the lovely manager (I think) came and helped us. We got our food quickly and the service was amazing. Great crust, crunchy outside, soft and fluffy inside. Sweet sauce is not too sweet but definitely on the sweet side. Real mozzarella is not too salty, but nice gooey and melty. And fairly generous with the toppings. Great place for your "cheat" meal of the week.“

“Pretty good subs. Like the roasted red peppers and capers; definitely not for everyone but I enjoyed them. Breads are made there and the rolls are hard; which is proper for good Italian bread. Real Italian bread is on the firm side, always has been. Don't expect a soft sponge, that's not proper bread for a sub. And don't worry it's not like stale or nothing. You won't get an old flavor in the bread just a different texture if you're not used to it because you grew up in the states. Excellent cold cuts, no gristle, not super wet, good quality. As an Italian American who grew up in Philly I greatly appreciated the joint. Will be back. Only criticism is the wait times. If they are busy them expect to wait“

“This place is like Subway, but with pizza instead of sandwiches (and much fresher ingredients). They have a menu of pizzas, but you can customize all of your toppings as you watch a staff member put it together for you every step of the way - from saucing to firing it up in the pizza oven so it comes out fast and hot. The crust is consistently perfect (thin and crispy), there are a ton of fresh, quality ingredient options, and the flavors are amazing. This is a place I have frequented for years and I can honestly say that I have never had a pizza I didn't like. I've tried a handful of them, but my go-to is the green pie (pesto basil sauce, mozzarella, feta, zucchini, eggplant, artichoke hearts & fresh tomatoes). My husband does not like vegetables too much, but even he has learned to let them make it as-is, without customizing it, because it is SO GOOD! The chicken wings are juicy, meaty, and delicious. The salads and Mediterranean plates are great as well (chicken/beef kabob, falafel or chicken shawarma served with rice, salad, hummus, pita bread, and garlic sauce). There is even a dessert counter where you can usually find an assortment of treats like macarons, Dubai chocolate bars, and Baklava. They also serve beer (bottled and on tap).

Aside from the great food, the place has a great ambience with a large & spacious indoor dining area as well as a large shaded patio area in the front (facing bustling Citrus Ave), big screen TVs, and even a little game machine for the kids. They do a great job of keeping it all nice and clean. A small touch I really appreciate is that they conveniently keep extra plates, silverware, condiments, and to-go boxes out in the front so you can use as much as you need without having to ask for them.

On top of all that, it's in a prime location in downtown Covina so there is plenty to do if you have some time to walk around. Great for families and casual date nights.
