“We were very hungry, ordered delivery. I didn't know they delivered. The pepperoni pizza was good, good taste, good crust. The antipasto salad was good, although not really an antipasto. I ordered the meatballs and thought they were great. They came in a dish with marinara, onions, green peppers. The marinara was very flavorful. I put the garlic bread to good use by thoroughly cleaning the dish to get all the marinara. Less expensive Than ordering from Domino's, and much MUCH better. We've always like this place.“

“We had the Bambino house pasta dish [ delicious we ordered this for our women's retreat, for 80 women; Pescador pasta; seafood pasta; pesto sandwich with side of cold Pasta salad [ we also ordered this for our retreat for our lunch, for 80 women], avocado salad. Their avocado salad is a must try as well as the other dishes. Their sauces are light n delicious. Extraordinary place to have a family evening out. For the main dishes we had the vongole, chicken Parmigiano, kids' spaghetti and meatballs and kids' chicken fettuccine Alfredo. For dessert we had the cheesecake. Everything was so delicious! “I haven't been to an olive garden in years. We ordered fried mozzarella. My entrée was really good. Eggplant parmesan was light and not over breaded with just enough marinara on top. I was able to switch out the spaghetti for fettuccine alfredo. I ordered an Italian margarita it was citrusy and served with amaretto. The only disappointment was the salad... I had to pick out so many white parts and hearts of lettuce. It seemed as if I got the last part of the day ends of greens. Our server was efficient and quick.“

“Owner Operator Jose A Portillo has a gem of an Italian restaurant in Baldwin Park. Stopped in early on a Friday for some dinners to-go. My elderly parents are mostly homebound and they are very fond of this little eatery. I was deeply impressed with the service and attention from Jose himself during our visit. And this was for to-go orders. We got two orders of La Pescadori and a meatball sandwich. The dishes were spectacular and the care and love from El Appetiz was world class.“

“This location is always busy. I usually come here before 5 p m Because I hate waiting in line. Regardless if I get lucky or not, the food here never disappoints. Endless salad and breadsticks. Good meatball and shrimp appetizer is fantastic. The pasta plates large enough to always have leftovers at home and service is fast. My new favorite drink is the apple sangria, soooo good. It's made from Moscato and is nice take on the bitter normal sangria.

Parking: This location is in the Montebello mall lot.

“We were seated in the banquet room, where there is not much charm. Service was attentive, taking care of presenting each dish, removing finished plates, and being nearby, usually, when attention was wanted. Cocktail Manhattan quite nicely made. The Malbec we ordered was ok. The food was fresh, properly prepared. The main dishes were rich, but not balanced with a vegetable. I could have eaten 1/3 less of the main and had a break from the richness of cremes, fats and spices with some smaller side of something less rich, pasta, rice or a vegetable. Our desert was creme brulé. Seemed like it was not just prepared for us, no heat in the caramelized topping, neither hot nor cold center, and underwhelming as a result. Almost every restaurant these days has this dessert offered, so one would hope to have an excellent version at Malbec. I doubt we will dine here again. Sorry.“
