Seating: Around 8-9 tables, good for small groups or solo diners.

Hotpot Style: a little different from the other solo pot restaurant. Each person gets their own pot. You choose your meats & ingredients, then cook them yourself--no overcooked food, no broth boiling over. I liked this style a lot.

Overall: Chill weekday vibe, quiet atmosphere ( not sure if its a slow time or the area is naturally quiet) , and a solid 3.5-4 experience. Great spot if you enjoy solo hotpot without the rush.“

“Recently this place has become my hidden gem. I am absolutely obsessed with this little restaurant nestled in downtown La Verne. The food is absolutely fantastic, and the owners are criminally under charging for their generous portions and delicious food. However, I think im most impressed about how much the owners care for their customers. My sister and I went to get coffee from nambah, and we came back to wait for our food. The owner saw that we had our drinks and without even asking, included coffee biscuits/cookies in our bag to enjoy with our beverages. My sister and I were absolutely baffled at the generosity because this is the type of treatment you’d see in places abroad. But we felt totally welcomed, cared after, and most importantly viewed as people rather than customers. I have been going here once or twice a week for the past 2 months and they haven’t failed me once.“

“I started going to this Waba Grill pretty recently when passing through the area, and I gotta say, it's my favorite one to go to! By far the cleanest one, my food is served quickly with the correct portions, and all in all I could tell people work efficiently around here. “Went there for breakfast on Saturday early (8:30) to beat the rush. Only waited 20 minutes. Had belly to belly, creme brulee french toast. avocado toast, and two orders of the berry cloud pancakes. For drinks we had classic coffee, Pandan latte, Spanish latte, and Cookie? latte. Both drinks and food were great. Only complaint is that we order the 2nd pancake a few minutes late and it didn't arrive till most of us were finished. Be warned .. get your orders in for the cloud pancakes early. It will take 20-30 minutes to arrive.“

“Came here after a round of golf. The owner was very nice and welcoming. She answered all my questions well. I got the garlic noodles and wings and added a drink and fries.

The garlic noodles and wings were great. I really enjoyed the flavor of both. The garlic noodles had plenty of garlic. I got it spicy and enjoyed the type of spice that it came with. The wings were well seasoned and very large. After frequenting Wingstop, their quality had drastically dropped in quality and size. I found it nice that the wings here were fantastic. I ordered the Soy Garlic and the Korean Spicy. The fries were also great. They had a great crunch to them and taste.

Overall, I enjoyed all of the food, but enjoyed the spicy garlic noodles even more so. I noticed that they also had a ramen setup with different korean ramens. The owner also recommended the dirty fries that comes with different types of fixings. I'll definitely come back to try those the next time.

“Ramen was good, authentic ramen. Price of a ramen bowl ranges from $15.95-17.95. I ordered spicy ramen, mild, and it was pretty spicy. They also have udon but I did not try it. They have a very small sushi menu, Sushi rolls without seafood mostly, avocado, California roll, etc. The miso soup and Takoyaki were also very good. The only downside is they don't have a fountain they only offer canned or bottled drinks and of course water.“

“Marugame Udon in Chino Hills is such a comforting spot; especially on a cold, rainy day. Their udon soups are absolutely delicious, warm, and full of flavor. You can really taste the freshness in every bowl.

As a first-time visitor though, I will say the ordering process was a little confusing. A clearer sign or simple explanation for newcomers would go a long way. The layout of the tables also feels a bit uninviting and could definitely be improved to make the dining experience more comfortable.

With that said, the staff truly made up for it. Everyone was warm, kind, and welcoming, which I genuinely appreciated. Overall, great food and great people; just a little room for improvement in the flow and layout. I’ll still be back for that amazing udon! 🍜“

“Tried Tokido Ramen in Chino Hills and were pleasantly surprised by the flavor and service. We had calamari, fried soft shell crab, and panko shrimp to start—each one crispy and well-prepared. The Tonkotsu ramen with garlic oil was rich and satisfying, and the version with black garlic oil added a beautifully smoky depth. We added extra corn for a little sweetness and it balanced the broth perfectly. Boba milk tea and lychee tea with boba rounded out the meal.

The server was attentive and helpful, and despite the cozy space (only six tables), the food came out hot and flavorful. This spot may be small, but the taste is big. We’ll definitely be back.

“I'm surprised at the negative reviews. I haven't experienced an issue yet. I was here Friday night and ordered the tacos. I enjoyed them. I had 1 steak, 1 chicken and 1 shrimp. I really liked the fillings and thought the meats tasted good and cooked nice. I didn't really enjoy the tortilla part but it is just my taste buds and preference. Would I order them again, yes. I got a mini spicy chicken bowl today and thought it was substantial, filled me up and the price cannot be beat for what you're getting. I hope the consistency continues because it's convenient to where I'm living. I'm also close to the upland store but would prefer to keep coming here.My original review was all 5 stars. “Best duck in the Diamond Bar, Rowland Heights, Chino Hills area. We always order duck served 3 ways - soup, sliced peking duck with thin wrap and green onions, and deep fried duck bones. While you’re there get some of the crispy pork belly too .“
